Well, well, well... You talk about 'transit damage' which I have spoken about numerous times in the past. Only to be brushed off like I was speaking non-sense. Now, all of the sudden, my reticence on the subject matter seems to have some validity. Cute how you all treated me until my assertion becomes true. There is an easy lesson to learn from this: Be less rigid and more open minded folks. With that being said, if your prediction rings true Rick, and the Grand Sport debuts in 2027. Then I can safely say that I will have purchased another sports car by that time. At that point, my Porsche/Z06/Quadrifoglio fund will be near super car level. And as a car guy, I have a hard time ignoring the "better" options as the budget continues to increase. IE - I _could_ get a used C8 Z06 but if I wait a little bit longer, I can purchase a new (992) Carrera S who's resale value far exceeds any of the C8 models. Nevertheless, this is one of those times that I hope you are incorrect Rick. I still believe that the Grand Sport will be the sweet spot among the C8 lineup. Unfortunately, this 'hurry up and wait' mentality is not working in GM's favor. Thanks again for the updates gents. Stay *HUMBLE* my friends.
@@RickCorvetteConti No worries brother. I know all too well, the feeling you get when you are at the mercy of others. Hi Rick,, ... Great Tech Tuesday as always, ..... With Regard to your upcoming "Track Alignment" vlog, ... would it be possible for you and Chuck to also discuss/address track alignment for the C8 Z06? This would help all of us Z06 owners within the same video. I realize that going back and forth between two models could be confusing, so anything you and Chuck can do would be greatly appreciated.
Rick/Chuck, thanks for another great Tech Tuesday. Thank you for the heads up with appearance of mositure in the inside of the head light lense, just noticed it on one my headlights on my 2021 C8. I will take to my dealership for replacement. This is why I love Tech Tuesday's, I learn so much from the both of you. You make us look so smart when we go the dealership in dealing with issues like this. Thank you, so much!!!!
Thanks for great info! It would sure seem that the frequency of damaged Corvettes coming to you needed to be addressed. I sure hope they will correct that quickly. You are a great ambassador for Corvette and we are all better off as a result of your efforts! Thanks to you and to Chuck!
I am looking forward to your track alignment video. I spoke with Mike also about it, but he was saying he did the full track alignment and left it. He said that the Captain America C8 still has it and there has been no tire degradation. I have a 2024 Z06, I have done 2 track sessions so far, but not full blown. I am going for my first full blown track day this Saturday. I am interested in the in-between alignment you mentioned. I plan on tracking maybe 4-5 times a year.
Great job, guys. Another setback at BG. Not a good thing. Hope all is good guys. You both look wore out. 90 temps don't help either. Off to Ron Fellows for ZO6 school Friday and Saturday. Have a great weekend. Thanks for the Timber moment. 😅
When your car is destroyed on the assembly line, do you go to the back of the line or do they slide you in front of a dealer stock order? Also what happens to that VIN.
Somebody is definitely dropping the ball Rick on how customers C8s are being delivered pretty much unacceptable especially since it seems to be increasing.
The main problem with getting people into tracking is that most can't work on the C8 themselves. And bringing it to the dealership would be quite expensive. But using someone else's car is great fun.
Good morning Rick and Chuck. I really enjoy and appreciate your show, very informative! I have a 2024 C8 and LOVE it. One small "issue" is the ventilated seats don't seem to be working. I can hear the fan at it's various speeds however, very little air comes out of the seat and nothing comes out of the back rest. My dealer looked at it and compared it to another one in the showroom then told me it was fine/normal. Do you have any experience with this issue?
I was also disappointed with how little benefit the ventilated seats provided in my 2021; sounds like it’s “normal”. Our Hyundai suv apparently routes a/c to the seats as cold air is felt. But, I still love my C8!
Because the Eray has a Lithium battery many will immediately assume that is the problem. Update from Bowling Green suggests it maybe actually wasn’t a fire, just some smoke and nothing to due with the Eray. Facts always matter.
that and we really dont know WHICH Battery had an issue. You have the 1.9kwh tunnel ones, then you have it sounds like 2 separate ones for the 12v and another for some other system. who knows.. either way it dont look good
Service Managers have what is called a, Policy Tool. They can put in the VIN + Customer info. Unless this guy bought the car used the policy tool should spit out a lot of assistance considering the age of the car. My guess in this case is, the service consultant (who is paid more on customer pay) didn't bother to run this issue by the service manager or the customer did not ask for assistance. I hope this helps. Cheers!!!
Brother Rick, you need to either take a vacation or get some much needed rest before your health suffers. I say this not to be mean or demeaning but we can see how tired you are because you now have dark circles under your eyes. And even though I look forward to and watch every tech Tuesday you may want to go on a 6-8 week hiatus.
I wouldn't except a damaged car, from a transport, or while at the Dealership waiting to be delivered. It's unacceptable. doesn't matter what vehicle you have coming.
I agree, that is why when I ordered my C7 back in 2015 and my C8 in 2022 I did not pay for the car until AFTER it arrived at the dealer and after the dealer prepped the car because if something seriously wrong happened to the car I could simply refuse delivery. Buyers don’t realize if you pay for the car before it arrives by transporter it your car legal and you have no recourse and certainly can’t refuse to take delivery.
Re: Corvette Plant fire due to E-Ray lithium battery. Glad I never ordered one. Don't want one setting fire to my garage & house. If it happened at the Plant, it could happen at my home.

Thank you for all the helpful information take care guys
Hey Rick, can you talk about transmission failures and replacements on the C8 Corvette?
Jason’s car looks so good 🤜

@@sdsmt99 very true, that’s why there are so many options when ordering and unlimited mods available.
So now Corvettes will be bursting into flames like Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Corvette has now officially entered super car status 😂
Looking forward to Rick Conti’s track day! Jason’s car at Paragon is nicely done! 🔥 I didn’t make Tech Tuesday though 😅
You will buddy

@conti - Rapid Blue just suits C8 so much !!
Thanks I agree
We tune in to hear your report, always very informative, and timely. THANKS
Not interested in an electric anything Corvette. Can you imagine that thing going off in your garage and taking your whole house out? No thanks.
Was thinking same thing !
I love the Vette in front of Paragon. Black n Red are my favorite color combo's.
