I love this story. He leaves his wife and kids because he’s tired of his life at home, but when he dies he really regrets leaving and wishes he had it all back.

Jack lies there with his eyes open, not trying to get up since it wont work even if he tried. He bleeds out to death and people find him there, His wife gets over it too quickly and is already with a new husband, laughing and smiling with him. As her children cried there being very sad about his death. It seems as the wife was cheating on Jack and the children knew, To make Jack and their mom not divorce. They acted happy and very energetic.

I like to interpret the ending as he did not feel regret, but self pity. I feel that he feels bad that he left his family, yes, but it isn't the thing that's putting him down. I'd like to think that it was the image he had. He wanted to be happy so he left his family, but that ended up horribly. He then looks back and sees his family doing better without him. He doesn't regret leaving them, he regrets not living a happy and fulfilling life. Plus, I like the idea of no one taking pity on him anyways. Who cares if he's crying at the end? He made the choice to leave his family behind. His children grieved at his funeral but his wife, now widowed, was full of anger and resentment that he left. Once she was with another man, she was happy to have someone around. Plus plus, I like the little detail at the end of the channel switching. Once his case was disclosed, no one talked about him anymore. All he will ever be seen as a man that ran away from his family and died in the woods, and that is exactly what happened. It was all for nothing. Sure, he felt serotonin in the heat of the moment (in the woods), but then reality soon came down on him and showed that this was not the way to handle this situation.

Its a cycle in which the previous inchmen leave behind handy little items for the next inchman to help him survive longer. Thus, the Inchman never truly dies, only the man being him
This reminds me of that movie Into The Wild, about the guy who destroyed all of his identification stuff and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness for a while. Doesn't end well for him, either.

They're both kinda mainstream tho... ESPECIALLY Jack Stauber since all his music is being turned into fanmade animation videos (like this one) and animation memes.
Not tally hall though they're not even a band anymore and a majority of people don't have any clue who they are. I'd like to say too that Jack Stauber didn't really gain traction *until* people started making videos like this, and he still isn't really mainstream, but rather makes music that only appeals to a pretty specific domestic audience or at least until most of his songs started getting used on TikTok

I like to interpret the ending as he did not feel regret, but self pity. I feel that he feels bad that he left his family, yes, but it isn't the thing that's putting him down. I'd like to think that it was the image he had. He wanted to be happy so he left his family, but that ended up horribly. He then looks back and sees his family doing better without him.
He doesn't regret leaving them, he regrets not living a happy and fulfilling life.
Plus, I like the idea of no one taking pity on him anyways. Who cares if he's crying at the end? He made the choice to leave his family behind. His children grieved at his funeral but his wife, now widowed, was full of anger and resentment that he left. Once she was with another man, she was happy to have someone around.
Plus plus, I like the little detail at the end of the channel switching. Once his case was disclosed, no one talked about him anymore. All he will ever be seen as a man that ran away from his family and died in the woods, and that is exactly what happened. It was all for nothing. Sure, he felt serotonin in the heat of the moment (in the woods), but then reality soon came down on him and showed that this was not the way to handle this situation.
