I actually own the Star Wars limited edition Xbox 360 and it does make R2D2 noises when turned on and when the disk tray is opened. It also has "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope." Printed on the inside of the disk tray.
Cyndal Jones - I almost got it on launch, but it got delayed so many times that I bought a refurbished one just before ME3 and then it was announced and sold out almost immediately. My only disappointment is that it didn't do the R2 scream when you powered it down.
I picked one of these up for $50 from a local kid on Letgo. It's in perfect condition along with the controller. I'm not a big Star Wars fan, but this console is awesome.
I recently snagged one of these complete with the original box and docs from a friend for $100. I don't need it, but always wanted it, and at that price couldn't pass it up. So glad to know I'm not the only one over the moon for this :) C3PO FTW!
@@ragingdwarf I was one of few that managed to get one on launch day. Paid about NZ$575 for it. I'm not sure how many were actually sold here in New Zealand but it was probably not many.
Chronik Spartan Games the Japanese market gets some sweet EVERYTHINGS. We get shafted in the west. Why? Because we are dumb enough to keep allowing them to shove crap down our throats!!
The red one is the Resident Evil Code Veronica Special Edition. If you have 3000$ you can get a boxed one of Ebay. I actually prefer and have the black Sega Sports Edition.
Or that other guy...the one who fixed the Nintendo/Sony console. Ben something or other maybe? Is he even still around? I haven't seen a video from him in over a year.
rosecoloredgaming used to sell replacement rails but it seems like they stopped selling them - i did find a couple sites that apparently will let you 3d print them though
I have that C-3PO 360 controller. Dude, this thing is a nightmare. A fingerprint magnet as you said, yes, but also a scratch and dust magnet. Buy it, hang it on the wall, and never touch it.
OMG, you are so right about the Star Wars Edition Xbox 360. I walked into my local video game store and there it was, sitting on the shelf. Although it was used, you could not tell. No dust, dirt or scratches and the control was mint. I immediately picked it up for a mere $90. I also picked up a Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP NES Edition.
I still have mine in too. I checked ebay and used condition asking prices were $100-$150 on the couple of listings i looked at. The higher listings had everything that came with the bundle. (Like the peace walker PSP pouch and game, etc.)
I ordered a Famicom style GBA SP online one time and it's beautiful. It does have the dimmer screen (not AGS-101) but it does still work great. One of the color things in my collection.
That's one of the very few consoles I've ever wanted the special edition of. And yeah, I ended my sentence with a preposition. Big deal. I also started a sentence with "and". I'm out of control. I need help.
I had the same problem with my Panasonic Q drive. I managed to fix it with help from various TH-cam videos, just ordering and replacing the belt for the disk drive. It's not too difficult a fix, go for it!
Brant Lisk That was 1 of 3 editions I was deciding on when I finally decided to get a 3DS in 2017. It was between that, the "Galaxy" edition, and the "Super Nintendo" edition. I ended up getting the Super Nintendo edition.
Real quick, your channel was suggested to me after watching an AVGN vid and immediately loved the cut of your jib. First vid you're wearing a Maiden T talking about Dreamcast with an aresnal of toys in the back, you speak clear and concise also lol, rare treat.

While missing the “loose wires” artwork Xbox 360 released a stand alone gold controller that is exactly the same. Happy to report there’s definitely no issues with finger prints.
As a long time viewer, I love seeing how the big box PC shelf at the back has been steadily growing! I know PC vids don't grab as many viers but it would be awesome to see another PC focused vid :)
Love this channel! Keep up the good work! I’ve got the bright red Resi 5 edition Xbox 360 and controller. I got it for my 21st birthday and still play it to this day. I would never let it go, too many good memories and games.
Thanks to Kinsey and your xbox 360 controller videos, I bought the R2D2 360 about a year ago. Never had a 360 before and what better one to get, and it was released on Birthday 👍.
Very nice collection. I've been an average watcher and thank you for not making 10 minute videos like other people I'm subscribed to. It could change an opinion that people will have on you. I've seen my favorites started doing it and they're not clickbait unless they're trying to start
I've only kept a single console: a custom painted Gamecube (blood maroon & metallic bronze) with a blue LED and US/JP region switch. About a year after launch there was a user on the IGN Boards that offered to "custom color" Gamecube consoles for a reasonable fee. With all the mods I believe the total cost was around $74/shipped (you shipped your console to him to have the work done, he shipped it back.)
Some favorites I own are the JVC X'Eye, the Kingdom Hearts PSP, The Spice Orange Gamecube, the Gold N64 and the Halo Guardians Xbone. Also the Xbox 360 Elite came out before the Star Wars 360 and had 500 gb.
I think the N64 Daiei is one of the most beautiful N64 ever made. The PS1 Net Yaroze had mythical status here in Brazil, often being called the PS1 Black, which was supposed to be much more powerful than the original console (these were times of little information). The Dreamcast R7 is very cool too
I have a 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro, and I absolutely love it. It is a fingerprint magnet, but I don't move the console around too often. Such a beauty :)
@@TheCringeofTheCentury I am so sorry that you forgot it. When I was really young I lost my fav toy (a transformer, beast wars) at a car wash. I was just crushed

My green 64 that came packed with DK64, (idk if they sold it with out the game), my light blue PsVita that I imported from japan, (great trade from my dull black one) and my Spider man Ps4. Now one Ps4 that I’ve wanted to own was the 500 Million Edition one.
Not Reading Disc is a very common Game Cube problem I have 2 regular Game cubes & they suffered from the same problem they turn on you can see an access the Memory Card but the Disc won't load . You would have to like wait half an hour to an hour after turning on the system then when it good an warm open an close the Disc Tray a whole bunch of times an hopefully the Disc loads.
This is a cool video. I have also some older consoles too. The original Xbox you have looks really cool in the Halo edition. I have it too but in the limited crystal edition. And it looks so good.
I grabbed one of the "Azurite" Blue PS3 slim systems, just love it to pieces; grabbed it new from Target IIRC when the PS3 dropped to $250. Especially the controller, the blue is just a great, striking yet subtle hue. It's my main PS3, and the color is seriously just about my favorite thing about it. Still got my original box and all the stuff. This video made me extra proud of it, thanks MJ! :D
I remember the Star Wars PSP. Never owned one, but I remember seeing a pic of Jack Tretton with Chewie on stage showing it at one point in my friend's Game Informer. lol
European Automobile PS2. I have the Yellow one AND the matching yellow controller. It's essentially a high gloss paint on the system. Rare AF. Only 2000 of each of 5 colors were made and they were not sold. 666 of each were sent to the main 3 regions and raffled off, offered as prizes for tourneys etc.
There are 2 special edition consoles that I want so badly, and those are the "It's a wonderful world" DS Lite and the "Tribal Style" GBA. Beatiful stuff you've shown us, btw.
I used to have the Yoshi 3DS...still have the box, but I sold the console a long time ago. I'm not even a big fan of Yoshi, but I loved the way the console looked.
I managed to get a hold of the Famicom anniversary ed. of the Gameboy micro a few years back. It's probably my favorite of the retro items because, even though the screen is tiny compared to the Advance, it's ridiculously clear.
I own one of the Japanese McDonald's DSi consoles. It isn't a special edition, more like a variant that wasn't sold for consumers and its very cool. They used it to train staff at McDonald's, with their own training game and according to information I found online only around 7,000 units were made!
The green psp sold as a metal gear bundle, every time I use it in public people comment on the color, and gamers are shocked at how much cooler the system looks. Definitely should be in your collection goals. I foolishly sold the beautiful “Gameboy Light” I acquired not k owing how rare they are in the United States. It also looked (and played) like a completely different system than the gameboy pocket, just with that gold color. The “indigo” style light was sweet too. But this is the same old version of me who thought nothing of selling the Vectrex I grew up playing. Hindsight is painful. Thanks for sharing your museum with us.
I like the white PSP too and the white vita. The god war PSP is probably my favorite one I got. My favorite out your collection is that special edition gamecube never even knew they made one like that.
Really dig your channel MetalJesus! Have an idea! You should do some videos of special editions for different consoles! Like the Ps2/Gamecube Resident Evil 4 With the Chainsaw, Lunar and other big box titles, Superscrope 6 for SNES etc! Reggie has the chainsaw and Lunar big boxes if you dont! Came up with it watching a video of his! Maybe another MJR and Reggie classic? Keep up the great content!
My favourite is my Spider-Man PlayStation 4 Pro. I'm a big fan of Spider-Man, the design is simple, but it just looks so clean. It also came with an awesome controller that you cannot buy separately. Plus it came with the physical version of the game, and the season pass. All in all, I was quite happy to get one.
I could swear the Hello Kitty Dreamcast would pop at one point here, heck I'm not even into that kitty or pink, but that special edition is just way too awesome. There's someone here in Brazil selling his/her (whatever) full console, in box, with keyboard and everything, with no yellowing at all. It's just epic.
The Panasonic Gamecube is amazing. Always wanted one. One other thing you forgot to mention is that it also has its own special Gameboy Player because of its size. As for Special Edition consoles, I like the Original Xbox Halo console. I picked up one of these for $40 with two controllers. The Pikachu N64 is kind of cool too. I got one of those cheap for $25 at a thrift store. I like how the design isn't just nice but functional. For handheld, I like the Legend of Zelda DS Lite. My brother has one of the Star Wars PSPs, bought it for him when it was new. One console I wanted to own is the Sega PAC-S10. It was an Sega Genesis / CD addon module for a Pioneer Laserdisc player. Kind of would be cool just for the sake of having it.
I'm a HUGE Magic Knight Rayearth fan! Actually got the Saturn game this week,! So the special edition I would love the most is the Magic Knight Rayearth Game Gear!
The special edition systems I have are: RGB Scart modded Pikachu N64, Spongebob GBA SP, Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL, Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch, Zelda Wind Waker Wii U, Star Wars PS4 Pro, Sega Sports Black Dreamcast, Red/Black PSP, and a Blue Game Gear.
I like the 3DS Monster Hunter special editions, especially the US MH4U version. But that Panasonic Q is freakin sweet, and any of the Sharp Famicom combo with the Disk player are nice. That Daiei Hawks N64 Jpn only - the Orange top with black bottom is gorgeous.
You can get the PS2 Blue Slim at GameStop. That’s where I picked mine up for my retro gaming trunk cabinet. You should see what I made it’s pretty cool
thanks metaljesus, I'm going through a tough time right now and watching your videos cheers me up thanks :)

I love having both the indigo an black Heineken Gamecubes
Your Ghost shirt is incredible.
My favorite is the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold/Silver Edition (the one with Pikachu's cheek as the power LED).
I love the Dragon Quest PS Vita with the little slime on the bottom!
I like the N64 ice blue model,it was really fragil but it look amazing,i hope can buy one someday, great video
You can get the PS2 Blue Slim at GameStop. That’s where I picked mine up for my retro gaming trunk cabinet. You should see what I made it’s pretty cool
The pikachu 3dsxl is so good looking i love it
