I grew up with the electronic Phantom Menace toys from 1999/2000. Can you imagine if this was around when it first came out!? The kid in me would be so stoked!

There’s two versions of the Anakin one - an older version where the blade is locked in place and the newer version where the blades are removable like this. If you like this, they made a darksaber and Rey saber which are incredible - I’ve done full reviews of them too. As a line this collection is fantastic
I’ve got one but you aren’t gonna find a character replica neopixel for €70 that has a quick release coupler and quick release blades. For what it is this thing is just awesome
This is a brilliant ‘toy’ saber, so much fun but it also looks brilliant - I have it on display amongst my legacy sabers and you won’t know it wasn’t a high end replica
I’d also love to see that, have you posted it yet? For the price, this thing looks fantastic, if converting it to use regular Disney blades isn’t too hard that would be an insane hack!

I had another question for you, I was wondering if you know someone or could recommend a business that might be able to fix a broken ignition switch on one of the Disney legacy Darth Maul hilts. The switch on mine is broken and won't turn anymore, I've found some DIY videos on how to fix it but I don't have the tools required. If you have any recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
No problem at all and I’m glad you find these helpful. Ah man that sucks!! I actually don’t know of anyone but I can ask around to find out - where abouts in the world are you because that will usually determine how easy it is to find someone. Equally, Disney have recently put mail sabers on shopdisney online and there’s 30% off at the minute. It might genuinely be cheaper to buy a new one at discount - especially since you can get a blade at the same time within the new cheaper bundles
The 35 dollar saber wont go away right? Also is it good for battle and clashing, edit i dont know witch to get this one or 2011 flick darth maul one from hasbro it goes all the way in
The blades don't go inside the hilt but they are fully detachable so you can have the hilt on its own if you want and then they are designed to be quickly locked in place or removed if you want. Personally I'd pick one of these over the 2011 flick ones - the flick ones don't have the same weight as this and the electronics are better on this. in terms of battle and clashing, the electronics are good but I wouldn't recommend adults to duel at full power with these

I really really badly want these but £70 is a bit steep for me (£78 including the £8 postage) I do really badly want one though so I’m currently contemplating it… My bank account would definitely scream lol 😂. If they ever make a count Dooku one (unlikely but who knows with Disney) I’d buy that without a doubt as it’s my favourite lightsaber design. I can feel myself being tempted by the dark side to but this even though Ik I shouldn’t 😅. Xx

Yeah you’r not wrong, a double saber+blade package like their toy Ahsoka one would have made more sense. At least it’s ‘only’ $10 more than the Ahsoka ones..

@@tikvision these versions are the best! Far better than a legacy lightsaber! I prefer neopixels and hasbros's deluxe force fx Plastic Lightsabers, I have so much fun with each of these, just more for my collection

You won’t regret picking this up! I know what you mean, even for a baselit maul saber you’re usually looking at double the price of these two. With all the extra features like the quick release and the fact it is designed for single and double blades use, I love this thing!
@order66collectibles yea, well I have a few different saber from neo pixels to force fx etc a d I've had my eyes on a proper replica for years and years, I'd settle for a force fx but even they're around £400, so this one will definitely be my next saber, looks super fun. Great review as well!

Me too!!! I loved my maul flick out saber…until my brother broke the blades. If this had been available then I’d have lost my mind 😂

to be fair, old bladebuilders couplers arent too bad, I have a few of those, but THIS is a must have 😍
Yeah you’re right the blade builder connectors were pretty solid - they just didn’t replicate the sabers as well as this I think

No sag at all, the coupler is really sturdy and goes in enough to make everything stable

Adults going full pelt? No. They will withstand a beating (the way that kids beat each other with lightsabers) but not full blown duelling
I think this is nicer than the £370 version from Disney.
I have a neopixel from CX sabers- weathered- looks awesome and was £245.
Yeah I think this is incredible for the price - 85 stacks up really well against the legacy one so hard to justify the £379 price!

There was already a hasbro fx version of this. A spring blade and an electronic one. Not impressed
I’ve had the hasbro versions. This is miles better in terms of quality but also the split coupler and electronics

Depends what you’re looking for - for those not looking to spend too much for a character replica saber they’re ideal
For a child who wants to Plat with one, they are great
