I love this idea. But is there a chance that the kid would take it as “oh, I thought Anakin was Luke’s father but turns out it’s the guy who killed Anakin who is Luke’s father!”

The movies contradict each other, which is why having multiple directors is bad. It shifts the focus, theme, tone, etc. That's why they fell flat.

The sequels ruining Luke was also what ruined the franchise. Disney just deliberately killed the golden goose for some reason.

Why's he being so nice about it? they were a total train wreck of a set of movies... he must be still a disney employee .

There was only one plan behind disney's star wars and it was to drain the fans of every cent they had for nostalgia and in the process destroy the franchise. They didn't care about telling a new and great story or build on George Lucas universe. Greed can be a powerful ally.
