“This isn’t a hockey game it’s a circus” I love how he’s right in movie 2 about that lol.
i swear the only scene from movie 2 in the top 8 moments from movies 1 2 an 3 is this ducks fly together scene...if the team had more internal conflicts then this too may hit harder ....without this speech and then the epic reveal of the nhl jersey this movie would be bland...this scene feels impactful but it misses the mark cause the build up for it was not great or well developed...we needed some conflict between goldberg and julie for sure about playing time cause shes a girl and then portman being a bully for half the film before getting along with fulton and accepting the other ducks have dwyane showboating get on jesse's nerves so they have some small beef for a scene and have russ' mouth get to everyone plus have the 6 new ducks not get along with the pranky loudmouth old ducks way of living showing class divides better making the street skate game scene hit harder and then have luis be hitting on connie tearing her and guy apart making them have some issues...then we could really see why they needed this speech and why they are losing so bad and it would hit harder...cut out this tutor cut out the iceland chick cut out bombay's entire subplot about his ego cut out the marketing guy cut out the coach hurting gordon's leg scene and a few other small scenes we don't need keep charlie's mom and gordon together even if shes not in the film and just have it be about the team itself adjusting to new players cut down the street skating scene and the rollerblading cold open and gordon's hockey game at the start too and the final game can be cut down too...and bam we have a better film...thats what this film needed to be....a lot of the subplots just suck like luis not stopping or dwyane roping the kid?..these are the best of the best?..julie never plays and is ok with it?...ice cream misunderstanding with a chick he may have banged?...a tutor who is so awkward?...the dentist?..who cares....kareem cameo?..wtf is the point of that..wayne gretzky cameo?..why?...and this annoyed me..why didn't connie or averman just sit out the final game instead of charlie?...they suck..maybe then we are not in a shootout for the gold lol..what can connie kenny russel goldberg portman and averman on the ice together do honestly?...you know at some point they got these 6 on the ice together and it was a total disaster for a few minutes in this tournament...like what a bad squad to play with vs this level of competition on both ends...you know they got crushed and its why they got destroyed by two teams cause they had this lineup out there..this is why you keep charlie so in the big game you don't have that 5 some everskating together cause my god it would be a nightmare honestly with goldberg in goal as well...portman literally is just defense he can not skate score or pass...connie is a liability on defense as is kenny due to size though he tries and godlberg is slow while averman can not do much on either end as hes very much a meh player overall at all aspects of the game although hes a clear defenseman and passer/set up man then scorer or skater....this team woud literally fall apart together on the ice

Nailed that, and not one of them talked about heritage or historical injustice, just where they grew up obviously as a team exercise & to realise they may be from everywhere but are united as a team in the now.

The Game Changers season finale sent me here. Felt like coming here to look back on another rousing speech. I just never thought the new series would live up to what these Ducks left behind. It shattered my expectations.

I saw the movies when I was a kid, I barely remember them. I got into hockey in the last few years due to the INCREDIBLE Check, Please! hockey webcomic which sadly came to an end a year and a few days ago. Now THAT was an incredible hockey story!!!

@@emilyireland-smith9539 Its a fun webcomic as I said. Sadly it ended just over a year ago now. The protagonist is Eric "Bitty" Bittle, a figure skater turned hockey player from Georgia. He also bakes a lot and is only a little over 5 and a half feet tall. The comic covers Bitty's 4 years at the fictional Samwell University in Massachusetts where he's on a hockey scholarship. However, Bitty has an issue with checking which is implied to be due to being bullied growing up. During the 4 years of the comic, there is an expanded cast of characters as each new year adds new teammates. In Year 4, Bitty's the team captain on a unanimous vote and he leads the team to victory in the NCAA championship. In the final game, Bitty skates through several hard checks (a MASSIVE thing for him given that he started out by fainting at even the chance of getting checked) and then checked the other player so hard that they both got flung into the Samwell bench and Bitty lost a tooth.
Another aspect of the comic is that Bitty is gay so the story covers his coming out and dealing with the impact of that, particularly with his parents who Bitty is terrified of coming out with. After Bitty's rather dramatic coming out to the world at the end of Year 3, he has to deal with his parents reactions in Year 4. His mother proves to be supportive, but he has a blowout fight with his father whom Bitty has a distant relationship with and calls Coach which is his father's job title. They end up reconciling and become pretty close and Year 4 features Bitty as the first openly gay NCAA Men's Hockey Captain.
The other major characters introduced in Year 1 are Shitty Knight a forward (he refuses to give his real name as its just that terrible), manager Larissa "Lardo" Duan and D-Men Adam "Holster" Birkholtz and Justin "Ransom" Oluaransi who are pretty much Drift Compatible. Year 2 introduces goalie Chris "Chowder" Chow and D-Men William "Dex" Poindexter and Derek "Nursey" Nurse the latter 2 of whom are constantly at each others throats. Year 3 brings in Connor "Whiskey" Whisk, a forward with the talent to probably go pro, Tony "Tango" Tangredi and manager Denice "Foxtrot" Ford. In Year 4 its Johnathon "Hops" Hopper, River "Bully" Bullard and from Sweden Lukas "Louis" Landmann.
However, the most important character aside from Bitty is Jack Zimmerman, the captain in Years 1 and 2. Jack is the son of fictional hockey legend Bad Bob Zimmerman and Jack's own pro hockey career was ruined by an overdose on the night of the NHL Draft in which Jack was expected to go first. Jack is trying to rebuild his chances of going pro at Samwell and at first he's something of a jerk to Bitty although Jack helps him through his checking issues. After Bitty gets a concussion doing a risky play at the end of Year 1, they reconcile and become friends in Year 2 before Bitty realizes that he's falling in love with the supposedly-straight Jack. Turns out not so straight. At Jack's graduation at the end of Year 2, Bad Bob helps Jack to realize his own feelings for Bitty and he kisses him and they date throughout Years 3 and 4. When Jack graduates he signs with the fictional expansion team the Providence Falconers where Jack quickly becomes their lead scorer and one of three captains. A big part of Year 3 features Bitty and Jack struggling to keep their relationship quiet and then deciding to tell their closest friends (who had already figured it out) and then Jack's parents followed by the Falconers. When the Falconers win the Stanley Cup at the end of Year 3, they kiss on center ice, coming out to the world in the process as well as Bitty's parents who learned that their son is gay by watching him and Jack kiss on national TV. At the end of the comic, Jack and Bitty end up getting engaged.

In the movie, they were worried about getting fired for not winning games.. but i'm pretty sure you'd be fired for changing uniforms and not representing the Brand that sponsored and hired you lol..
depends they started the game with the brand so if the brand will take the win and beside it not like they full on left the brand ether since it was American team brand in general so by calling it American ducks it's a good compromise and we saw the main guy of the brand liked the idea and even went along with the we will quack you segment and this was the final game so ya they be fine
