    RECPE FOR ROSE WATER
If using fresh petals, use cold water. If using dried petals, use hot water.
Pick enough petals to fill a jar of your choosing ensuring that the roses have not been sprayed or damaged. Fill the jar with water and a small dash of vodka. Put on the lid and leave to stand for three days. Shake the jar occasionally. After three days, strain out the rose petals and decant the water into your final container. The water should smell of roses. Add a couple of drops of Rose essential oil to preserve and that's it. I made a lot last year and kept the excess in the fridge, topping up my bathroom bottle as needed.

Thank you 🙏 My mother told me how her grandmother, who was from Kerry, would make rose water and put it on handkerchiefs. She would lay it on my mother’s forehead when she had to go down for a nap time in the summer.

I think the rose water you can buy in the store is made by distillation. It's probably a bit stronger than an rose infusion.

Oh I so wish I had a real garden, but I'm an urban dweller; roses don't like my apartment. I do manage to grow lots of other things, though, and thank goodness I can get food grade rosewater at a nearby store for a reasonable price. I splash it on my face every morning, just before the morning cuppa something. Thank you for the little mental "vacation"! (PS love that green dress!)

114° today and tomorrow here in Portland, Oregon. Wishing I was back in Ireland. We have a roses all over the area and Portland is proud of its Rose Garden where thousands of tourists come every year to see the beauty, color and fragrance. It's a special place. And once you're finished with the Rose Garden, you can walk the paths of the Japanese Garden just nearby.

    🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🌹🌹🌹 I'm sooo
    Happy to shared this!
When my children were young I used to spray rose water on myself when my son grew up one day I looked in his cupboard and there sat a bottle of rosewater even the same kind I bought so I'm so excited that I have this opportunity to make my own because I do have tons of roses there on their third-round in Petaluma California so I just look so forward to it how pretty thank you for going in your garden you look so nice today in your green dress and your pretty hair and just it's so wonderful to be in Ireland with you because I do have an Irish grandmother a grandmother three generations ago and I was born with bloody red beautiful hair and now it's sort of a blondish flaxen color thanks again you're so wonderful

      As the rosewater technique.
Maybe just the heads w/o stems.
Or is it best to strip the lavenders flowers off the whole stem??

Hi Terry, I have a beautiful Queen Elizabeth rose In my garden for 40yrs now. Old faithful blooms year after year. Today It’s April 21,2024 my daughter’s 47th birthday. Our daughter Elizabeth helped me plant it for her daddy when she was 7yrs. old. His mother’s name was Elizabeth as well. So I thought it was a great gift! And it was. It’s so beautiful. Blooms until Nov. (I have a green thumb like you & love my garden plants. & they know it. So many return year after year. So now I can’t wait to make the rose water with the petals. I’m so happy our paths have crossed. Thanks for another wonderful video❣️ Have a Blessed week✝️ Linda🌻
