    For me it’s easily The Greeting Song. But man what a fuckin album. One of the best sounding albums from that time. Chads drums are one of the best recorded drums ever. Maybe only second to the drum sound on White Pony from Deftones.

      Have you seen the doc on the recording of this album? It's on YT somewhere I think.

    Ok, as I approach 50, I've been trying channel my inner Capt. Howard from Bad Boys II (OOOHH-SAHHHH) and take a few minutes and breath before I jump on the comments and act like an ass...lol. So I just stumbled on your channel looking for a live version of Apache Rose Peacock, and I saw you were reviewing one of the greatest albums ever made, so I clicked on it. I truly did like the dialog and the points that each of you were making and was starting to wish I caught it live when it came out so I could have joined in the live chat, if you guys do that.
    Let me preface this part, I'm not gonna pretend you guys wasted my time, like the old me would have done, I'm on sick leave and board, and had your video on as something to watch while working on my race drone. Still though, at the 30min mark you started talking about the first track, then you started talking about the next one, I'm like are they going to discuss each track, THEN go back and p[ay each one? So I started skipping ahead, and low and behold, NO MUSIC!! Like I said, if I was familiar with the channel I would know that, but I'm not, and want to give you all the benefit of the doubt, so, Why not play the album, with a short discussion after each track?

      So glad you found out channel and hope there are some other episodes you enjoy. We would love to play snippets of the songs unfortunately we can’t play copy written material and out videos would run the risk of getting taken down. Most fans who watch these episodes know the album inside and out. If people do want to reference the track it’s pretty accessible using their phone or online. Just the rules we have to play by:(

    Person to person by the average white band, reminds me of the funky guitar skank on if you have to ask.

    You scratch either they're red hot or the greeting song. As much as I love Sir psycho sexy, I agree that the second half of the song should have been cut.

    Some of these songs existed and were demoed a year before these sessions took place. This was recently confirmed by rick rubin. Nobody knows where the tapes are.

    Tough one for me to scratch, mostly because I have to admit I'm not a Chili Peppers superfan. I do enjoy their singles, but I think the only album I've previously listened to thoroughly was "Californication," which would be an excellent one to scratch in the future. I agree with you guys that "They're Red Hot" is the most obvious one to lose, though.

    • @scratchatrack
      @scratchatrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, They're Red Hot is kinda a funny little song. It doesn't really fit on the album. If there is one spot to put the track I think it is at the very end.

      @ayusharyal 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scratchatrack yes as you said smells like teen spirit was massive part of grunge revolution. But under the bridge is fantastic story and the way John juxtaposes sad lyrics to happy mellow composition is one of a kind(during first times i thought it was a love song). And also this song introduced me to rhcp and rock music, So under the bridge will always be close to my heart.
