Please keep us informed on the upgrades you do. I love these older boats. People like you keeping them going means so much . Thank you from the bottom of my heart. May the Lord Bless the both of you .
My wife and I lived on a wooden sailboat in San Francisco Bay for 20 years. Of course we never had to deal with the degree of cold that you have. However, we have just moved to South Central Iowa, into a home, where we have both the cold but much more room. It would be hard to imagine a larger change. We really enjoyed your video!
I can only imagine the feeling of your change! After we sold our previous ship and moved to Berlin, Germany into an apartment, like normal people do, it felt really weird. Give my best to your wife and a Happy New Year to you both!
@@msSuukkoIIBalticSea Thank you so much! I am sure we would have a lot in common. I have lived in Germany as well, and visited Berlin, both before and after the Wall. What a change there has been there! When I proposed to my wife, I asked her to marry me and move to Japan, where we lived for three years. I have always loved variety in my life, but have also kept my relationships from all over the world. Besides German and Japanese, I also speak Persian and Afghan Dari.
@n.brucenelson5920 We sure could have a lot to talk about! Wow, you really have some language skills, quite extraordinary also. English is our third language, and overall, our languages are Finnish, Swedish, English and German. So nothing exotic (at least for us).
@@msSuukkoIIBalticSea I am not particularly gifted in language - I had taken 6 years of German before I went there the first time. I could read a novel, but couldn't even order in a restaurant! I have to go to a country and spend some time. Persian is IndoEuropean and has no gender, so it is the easiest of the three for English speakers - even if it is written with Arabic script. I traveled around the world for decades with a round the world ticket about every 6 weeks, doing environmental work. I was in Kuwait for the fires. I was able to pick up greetings in many languages. Getting to know people from different cultures and countries has been wonderful!
Maybe some cost calculations about owning this kind of ship, purchase price, running costa something like that. Also would be interesting to hear Samulis opinions about buying your first shaftdriven steelboat maybe in smaller scale than suukko 2. Or just general nettivene scrolling and speculating like: ”these would be goood first steelboats” etc. Good videos and cheers here from Keski-Suomi.
Greetings from around Tampere. Komiasti kuuluis Lontoon taipuvan.
Kannattaa meinaan katsoa vikkapa Turbo Diesel Builds- kanavaa. Siellä väännetään suunnilleen saman tasoista englantia mitä itse puhun kännissä. Silti puoli ameriikkaa seuraa.
Buy some silicone pen or something to just apply to the rubber sealing around the doors and some lockspray for cold in the locks. Helps alot to take care of the car if you know it will be below zero. /Sweden
Your english are just like mine ,crappy. Dosen't matter at all ,we do understand each other if we want to. Been trawlering all over the world with no issues concerning languish.😊
Understanding each other is sure the most important thing. English is the third language for us, so it's not perfect but we're not language teachers so it doesn't have to be perfect 😊
Great video. Do you have a hydraulic press on board? Is this your permanent residence? Boats are expensive, a boat on this scale must be very expensive, is it? I see 2 captain hats. How does a boat with 2 captains work?
We have a hydraulic jack, would that do? We'll shoot a video about the economy part of this lifestyle. With two captains (as well as two first officers, two deckhands, two chefs, two stewards, two marine oilers etc) we can double our crew. Isn't that obvious 😁

Good luck for getting more watchers!
Thanks haha
Greetings from Pennsylvania.
Nice! Keep your Finnish flag up high there in Pennsylvania!
Great video! Informative and not too long! Great idea for a video topic 😉
Thanks!
When I walk by the harbors in Helsinki and Tampere I always wonder if people live in them and keep warm in winter.
I don't know about Tampere, but in Helsinki, they are surprisingly many houseboats. People just tend not to show/tell it, I presume.
