Rajagiri Lena, Mihinthale || රාජගිරි ලෙන, මිහින්තලේ

This historic #Rajagiri cave is located about 200 meters from the road in front of the entrance of #Mihintale #Kaludiya Pokuna Monastery Conservation. This Rajagiri cave has been identified as the cave where #Kala Buddharakkhita lived during the reign of King #Saddhatissa. Three caves located close to each other can be seen in the central part of the mountain, and one of them was used as a statue house during the #Kandy period. In the lower ground, several other carved stone caves can be identified, and evidence that one of the caves was built in front of the cave. Although the stone was offered for the Theravada monks in the early days, Mahayana monks have also lived in this monastery. The remains of a Mahayana monastic complex can be seen below the Rajagiri Caves, where two crumbling dagabs, a statue house and the remains of several other buildings can be seen.
#මිහින්තලේ #කලුදිය පොකුණ ආරාම සංරක්ෂණයේ ප්‍රවේශයට ඉදිරිපසින් මාර්ගයේ සිට මීටර් 200ක් පමණ දුරින් මෙම ඓතිහාසික #රාජගිරි ලෙන පිහිටා තිබේ. #සද්ධාතිස්ස රජ දවස #කාල බුද්ධරක්ඛිත මහරහතන් වහන්සේ වැඩසිටින ලද ලෙන ලෙස මෙම රාජගිරි ලෙන හඳුනා ගෙන තිබේ. මෙහි ඇති ලෙන් ලිපියකට අනුව #දේවානම්පිය තිස්ස රජුගේ නම සඳහන්ව තිබීම නිසා "රාජගිරි ලෙන" ලෙස හඳුන්වයි. එකිනෙකට සමීපව පිහිටි ලෙන් ත්‍රිත්වයක් කන්දෙහි මධ්‍ය කොටසෙහි දැකිය හැකි අතර ඉන් එක් ලෙනක් මහනුවර සමයේ දී ප්‍රතිමා ගෘහයක් ලෙස ද භාවිත කර තිබේ.පහල භූමියෙහි ද තවත් කටාරම් කෙටූ ගල් ලෙන් කීපයක් හඳුනාගත හැකි අතර එක් ලෙනක් ඉදිරිපස පියස්සක් ද තනා තිබූ බවට සාධක හඳුනා ගත හැක. මෙහි ගල්ලෙන් මුල් කාලයේ ථේරවාදී භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා උදෙසා පූජා කරනු ලැබූවත් පසු කාලීනව මහායාන භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා ද මෙම ආරාමයෙහි වැඩ වාසය කර තිබේ. මහායාන භික්ෂු ආරාම සංකීර්ණය ක නටබුන් රාජගිරි ලෙන පහල දැකිය හැකි අතර එහි ගරාවැටුණු දාගැබ් දෙකක්, ප්‍රතිමා ගෘහයක් හා තවත් ගොඩනැඟිලි කීපයක නටබුන් දැකිය හැක.
