I think you're missing the point of this whole car... The point is to give people something that's affordable rather than having them shell out 50 grand for a car... If you want all those things you can buy them it'll just cost you a whole lot more money
@@jbramblett I understand it being a budget car and I appreciate that but I hate that there’s three sub models and they’re all the exact same thing. There should be the budget variant and then a variant that has all wheel drive and a bigger engine or something like that because I think it’s a good looking car, but it’s kind of fucking worthless anymore usability standpoint there’s a reason why nobody bought the Pontiac torrent it’s because nobody needed a front wheel drive SUV defeats the purpose of an SUV. Nothing about it is sports or utility.
Good car if your on a budget. Looks good. Drives well. Quick pickup. Small engine but it has a super charger. For those who are looking for all the bells and whistle s. Go to the top in the search bar and put in bmw x6 m or gle 63 amg.
Excuse me for bringing it up. Your presentation is so informative. Well done. Has this engine been used enough to gauge it's reliability? Does the 1.3 have a track record? The turbos concern me. The power is less important to me than longevity. Thanks again 👍 @@TheDrivewire
A 4 cylinder motor will far outlast a 3 cylinder motor! The 3 cylinder motor has to work harder to match the performance of the 4 cylinder motor. Trust me on this. Think of it as a "team" effort. The bigger the team, the greater effort is issued. It's why V8 motors used to rule the day. Then they figured out the turbo motor and "cheated" the power delivery.
@@coastalbeerI have a Jeep Patriot 2010 with CVT that still run like a charm today and when I bought it reviewers said it was underpowered. It’s perfectly fine even on highways, never felt unsafe passing other cars. Yes it’s a bit slow ramping up on the Highway but there are ramps for a reason. We’re currently considering this car and the Encore GX as our next one. The design is wonderful, we tried them both and like how they go. Just waiting on reliability as it is on the new Trax platform and there’s no data yet.
“This car is under 30k!” Gripes about cost cutting and materials. Drags ragged fingernails over every interior surface “Look how easily the plastic gets scratched!” “No rear wiper! DAMNED GM BEAN COUNTERS!” Lamborghini Urus: No rear wiper. Jaguar F-Type: No rear wiper. Mercedes GLE: No rear wiper. It isn’t cost cutting. It was a design choice. Rear wipers aren’t a necessity. I would also like to see a more potent power plant, but that would make the MSRP go up. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. That was true in 1538, still true for MY2024.
I have it, and it has plenty of power. Technology today is top notch...I have owned mustangs all my life and have a heavy foot. It's not a mustang but it has plenty of power compared to the average car. You don't notice the three cylinders
@badele80 The Bronco Sport, I think, has a 3 cylinder also, and everyone that I know that has one loves it. I like the Envista, but I did swear to myself that I would never buy another G.M. anything ever again. For the past 20 years, they've been putting out crap.
It's the new Paradigm! We are going to offer you a new beautiful car with luxury features and looks, thats affordable. Then we are going to tell you that the tiniest motor on earth will be in it and you will be happy with that! God save us all!
I paid 22k for the ST and I love it. Yes it doesn’t have the power of my Mercedes AMG but who cares. It’s fine for driving around town. It’s a fun car.
I own one love the performance of it. We took 4 adults fully loaded with luggage on a two day trip. You would be totally impressed.
Great Review 👍🏽 The styling of the Envista is spot on but definitely needs a bigger power plant.
Research LSPI, LOW SPEED PRE-IGNITION...
Almost there. Add power, AWD, and give me manumatic shifting and I am all set. Good review.
3 cylinder is ridiculous
No problem, now add 10k to the price.

We took four adults, and the car fully loaded on a two day trip. It wasn't blunted. It performed greatly! You need to try this with your impressions.
Hahaha “you can make pretty decent progress with it, if you’re not in a hurry!”
I love that lol, I like this a lot. I might he cop!
Thx.

Why make a 3 cylinder that only gets 28-32 miles a gallon? There are some 4 cylinders that get that kind of milage.
Is it $29,000 or $27,000? The description lists the lesser price.
And Buick does excel at heated seats. My Verano is toasty on the high level.
$29k, I fixed the typo

Thanks! I don’t have any data on reliability of the tiny turbo 3s but they are no worse or better than a 4 cylinder turbo.

Should've kept the rear wiper.
I heard another reviewer say its loud in the cabin when on the highway..is that true in your opinion? Everyone seems to have different feelings
I think it's quiet

Looks nice, but add another cylinder to the engine, and I might consider it.
