Very much so. It's why I don't pursue it anymore. However, the dude has gone multiple years without animating anything outside of Game Grumps intros. Unless he's cultivating some kind of masterpiece, I really think that he's finished with animation as a main focus.

Tails is my favorite character in the Sonic franchise. Little dude can fly, he invents stuff on par with Eggman, and while he doesn't feel comfortable taking the initiative, when the situation demands it...holy CRAP, look out.

I would LOVE for a Tails Adventure 2.
The Kukku army would return and manage to abduct Sonic (far better than Eggman ever did), and Tails would have to go and stop them. Along the way he would collect the SEVEN Chaos Emeralds, which like before would increase health and power. After collecting the Seven Chaos Emeralds and going to the final area, Eggman stops him and says 'even with the Chaos Emeralds, you won't be able to defeat them. Knuckles wants to see you at the Master Emerald Shrine.' (Yeah, this game has Angel Island) Tails would go to the Shrine and face, you guessed it, Seven special stages to empower the Chaos Emeralds to the SUPER Emeralds, each stage would have you race from one point to another where an arena waits and you fight your friends here in boss battles to upgrade your Emeralds. Each challenge can be designated with a particular emerald to follow a them of emotion or something similar. After collecting the Super Emeralds, Tails can go Super form after 50 Rings are acquired (healthcare isn't by rings, though rings would heal you). Go up against the final boss, save Sonic and everyone's happy. You could even tie in some lore with the Babylon Rogues being former members of the Kukku army and leaving before they attacked the Island Tails was on in the first game. Pretty neat huh?

EDIT: How about Sonic X Ace Combat? Tails is a pilot, so why not?

" Okay so fun fact, but the Archie Comics actually brought in the Battle Bird Armada for a few arcs, and this was actually a plot point. Hell, there were even implications that Bean the Dynamite was tied to the Armada

Even if this comment is 2 years old... you, my friend, just created a decently great plot for what could very well be a good sequel (if it were to ever get made, that is).
If I may add more to it, what would you say to another potential idea where we get to explore the story of Speedy (the son of Grand Battle Kukku XV or Battle Lord Kukku XV as he's known in the Archie Comics continuity after the Super Genesis Wave) and how his rivalry with Tails got started. Think Episode Shadow in Sonic Forces, but as a full-blown game with the stories he appeared within said Archie Comics continuity serving as the plot.

4:20 I LOVE how on the Sonic 1 Game Gear playthrough on SGB, we actually got to hear Elliot telling John they still have their old Game Gear. And now we see it here after that playthrough is over. I LOVE little things and moments like that that connect SGB and SomeCallMeJohnny's videos. Just makes it feel nice if you ask me.
It makes following both channels all the more entertaining.

Tails Adventure has so much potential! Remake it today with modern conventions and conveniences (maybe give it a new plot if needed like Tails rescuing Cosmo from Sonic X or something). Seriously, this could be an amazing game or even a fangame.

Tails is the Gohan of the series. Nice, happy kid that accompanies the protagonist on his adventures and generally is content with more intellectual pursuits. But fuck with him, push him, get him mad-- and you're in for a world of pain that not even Sonic is gonna save you from.
Tails is one of my favorite characters in the entire Sonic franchise (Cream & Cheese being my second and Amy being my third favorite characters in the entire Sonic franchise) and one of my favorite video game characters as a whole, and i think Tails Adventure (while i never beaten it) is a pretty good first attempt, it makes me wish that we get more of these games were Tails is the main protagonist.

Tails Adventure was so good, I really wish they returned to this formula. It was a really fun and interesting idea, and it was one of the first Metroid-Vanias. It's an underrated gem, and I really wish they took this idea and made a fully-fledged game out of it. I'd pay for it for $60 if they made it a 3D Metroid-Vania all about exploration and puzzle solving with Tails' gadgets. Kinda makes me think of SA2 with his mech, except much better.
I wish they made Tails' Adventure an actual series, there's not a lot of Metroidvania games now.

I've always had a fondness for Tails' Adventure. As you say its a fun little game that's kinda perfect for what it is. It could be improved, but I think it coming out so late for Game Gear is its main weak point. Though it seems both of these games kinda helped with what they did with Tails in the modern era. He's more of an inventor (something we don't really see in the classic era till TA) and I kinda think that stupid ring bomb of his has to be a send up to both these games, since it combines both his methods of attack from them.
Please tell me you're "let's play-ing" Tails Adventure. It has a special place in my heart and i would love to see you guys playing this.

ERich935 I wasn't expecting anything involving the Tails doll because that story was wrapped up for the most part in the Ghosts and Goblins review and entirely finished in the Echo the Dolphin review.
