You said that the verb is always third person single, but what about the noun? - it is always a masculine or may be also feminine ? Thank you once again.

I have two questions
1. É sound longer and ê sound shorter in Portuguese
Am I right?
2. I have seen in some português videos that letter 'D' sometimes sound like ð (th of English in This, that etc. Or like simple/d/)
Please help.
