No joke, I was playing the tutorial for the first time yesterday and I heard footsteps run up behind me. Genuinely got me spooked

Yesterday i booted up the tutorial and something was walking in the water while i was figuring out mechanics. Barely managed to resist the urge to investigate.

i think drnose pretty effectively made a liminal experience without it being another "backrooms" shlocky mess, even the main game feels liminal. very very creepy and unnerving, by far one of my favorite horror games
It definitely feels like a breath of fresh air from your usual backrooms recently.

Last i saw his game crashed while trying to solve this secrets, he streamed for hours in the tutorial level alone without touching the main game. The Easter Egg is probably put here because the devs was watching his suffering live on stream (and maybe it's also why the core doesn't emit radiation anymore in this update, he died quite a lot from radiation poisoning)

I was stuck on the pipe parkour before the long ladder, I was really paranoid at this point.
I thought I was being followed.
I kept falling, facing the entrance into the room, wondering if I'd see something.
I was in the middle of climbing when I heard footsteps.
I had to play on mute for the rest of the run, I couldn't take it.

this is really good stuff, I've been watching your videos for a while and I'm happy to see u come back with such bangers. The little messages slipped into the tutorial captions are a lot more interesting and original than most "scary evil ghosts trapped in the game" args and it's refreshing to have a helper instead.

This is actually amazing dude this filipin game has come so far and I have been loving every second
these videos have made me feel like I'm about to explode. Ironically, no horror series has made me more scared than the little games you play in these. The map thing was genius btw.

put the files in the Appdata folder, there's another folder called VoTV inside Appdata where you can put the said files

Getting kinda tired of this game’s shit. Not gonna lie. Why is the SHOVEL not an item I can buy in the store yet? Sure I know where it is now, but that doesn’t really fix the fact that a most basic of basic tools cannot be bought in the store but you can totally buy a GPU board that is useless until you’ve found one note at one transformer under a mountain of trash.
What I take away from the efforts of this in-depth mystery/secret is that the dev is adding many layers to what is shaping up to be a masterpiece. The fact that so many secrets waiting to be found by obscure solutions adds to the overall need/want to explore the entire game from start to finish. Maybe some of it’s too convoluted but that will bring many people hours of experimenting and finding out what’s really hidden. If this much effort went into a tutorial Easter egg it’s probably safe to say there will be tons in base game when it’s in it’s finished form if there aren’t already. Plus base game already slaps as of now anyways.
@@Gregyourealionman but the surface level game isn’t fun to explore. If I have to go so deep below the surface for even a crumb of content, why add it? It’s clearly intended for streamer baiting. It’s like REQUIRED that you have a chat backseating you to find any of this. And it’s not even the most obscure of obscure things. I missed the stupid ariral picnic because I took a slightly different route to fix that satellite than most other players would. Thats supposedly the “required and scripted” content. Same story with the shovel. A simple item that should be sold in the store is a fucking scavenger hunt with no clues. Why? It will bring hours of experimenting which is fun for ARG geeks who are terminally online with nothing better to do, but it’s bad design for the rest of the world. Which is a shame because mechanically it’s so rich. In short, if your singleplayer sandbox game requires a shitty wiki open or to join a dumb discord to find any kind of substantially interesting content, it’s not well made.
I’ll agree that some events, scripted or not, seem to be too esoteric in a solo player environment. But I believe this game brings in more value by having a community working together to discover it all. It sounds like you do enjoy or want to enjoy the game more so let’s hope the full release will quench the solo player aspect for everyone! But in my opinion it’s the type of game that thrives with everyone sharing their experiences to see what’s been missed or discovered by others. Many different players experiencing many different things. Also yeah this is definitely an ARG nerds dream but what they discover becomes a very interesting video to watch later on at the very least imo.
You're a massive whiner, the tutorial isn't that long and probably takes minimal dev time compared to the pretty extensive main game, there is hours more content and fun in story mode then there is in full $60 games. the game hasn't even been in development that long and still has oodles more going for it than a lot of other games that you actually have to pay for
