You work as a scientist in the isolated research lab in the mountains of Switzerland. Your task is to gather signals from space, analyze them, process them and sell them to get points.
You can get regular signals and objects like dwarf planets and stars, or you can get something "unusual" or "strange"
The game has 40+ days and events, 150+ possible signals, some easter eggs and secrets.

Its cause its text based. Its pretty hard explaining something a video shows you in 3 paragraphs.

I WAS TRYING TO DO THIS TUTORIAL BUT AN INVISIBLE ALIEN STARTED THROWING BURGERS AT ME AND NOW ITS ALL OVER MY DESK AND I KEEP FALLING

why wasn't I told that I had to use the mouse wheel? Did I miss it? I've spent like 20 minutes just smashing "E" expecting anything to happen

I didnt use my phone during it, so it took me the longest time to realise you have to untoggle it at 100 or close to that. I havent fully watched the video, so that's how i downloaded the signal in the tuto. I used linear.

Nice guide! The next weird part is sending the signal off in the drone, maybe you could make a video on that?
Yes sending the signals by drone isn't very clear and requires lots of controls. Basically you need a drive box, open the box lid, place the drives inside it, close the box lid, place the hash codes on the box lid, and place the box in the center of the ring on the floor of the garage, then hit the buttons on the wall of the garage to call the drone.
@ Yeah, I found that out by trial and error on Day 5 of Story. Nice to get a response tho!

OH SO YOU NEED PRESS A FREAKING "ENTER" TO PING A SIGNAL?! I did everything right except pressing "enter" part. This is so unintuitive

I have like 4x more tips but it’s so many that is need to see something the tip would help with to remember but here’s 1: if you want the basement wall to open fall down not climb the ladder at 3:33 am in game (fall is c)

Hooooooooooooly crap, THANK YOU!!!! Guys, VERY IMPORTANT TO WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO FOR THE FREQUENCY KNOBS PART!!! I was trying to figure it out myself while the power kept going out (in the game) & i was getting pissed.....so i cleaned the garage & office area in the game from trash so i can cool down 🤣 saw the whole Step One of the signal part which had me understand it more but i only watched a few seconds of Step Two when i decided to try it on my own. I failed miserably & went back to cleaning in the game to get the points so i can do some upgrades so the power is more stable. Like 6hrs later i just watched the whole Step Two part & felt like a dummy for not watching it all because you explain it soooooooooo well! 😅🤦♀️🤣
Lots of people have trouble with this part of the game. Once you get past this and it's a lot easier.

I was 14 days into the game when i saw the entire video so i restarted the game now carrying the right knowledge lol trying to find the answers online was not existent, so im glad you did a detailed video. BTW, when your disc went flying, i was laughing pretty hard!
Yeah not a lot of info online. I find that's part of the fun and frustration with the game. :)

I still dont understand this. Not once has it gradually gone up and stayed up. I've done literally everything the tutorial, and this video says. It just goes up and immediately back down. Its on both settings, polarity and frequency. The closest Ive gotten it is 97.4% on polarity and 77.3% on frequency, and that's by turning it off during one of its little spikes in percentages. As soon as I turn it back on, it shoots back down to zero. The downloading thing only goes up by .1% every two minutes. That's too long.
Edit: I watched it again and realized I've been ignoring the filter offset. It all makes sense now... I think.
I've got a buggy mouse whose scroll wheel just goes off the wall whenever i use it. Is there any way to scroll wtihout using it?
edit: yeah i probably shouldn't be asking a random youtuber. thanks for the guide, it helped! i'll go ask on the forums or itch comments.
2nd edit; auto hot key had a v1 script lying around from their website that did exactly what i needed it to. if anyone else needs it, it's under the tab on the left called "Script Showcase" just find the one that allows scroll wheel to be toggled with the numerical pad.

Why my polarity uhh when im on 160.60 it dont give output data
Sometimes i got unknown signal, and i couldn't download it why is that?
What does the Downloading panel say in the bottom right? Both the Download at the bottom and the Detector at the top must reach 100% before you can save signal. The image in the upper right takes a little time to appear while the satellites align. Once the image appears then you can adjust polarity and frequency. It also takes longer to download if some satellites are down and you need to go to them to fix the servers. even with this tut i still cannot understand how to do it. the output data just flickers numbers and i cannot get it.
Once the yellow numbers move close to 100% you are good and you need to reduce the offset speed to zero to stop it. Remember you must press and hold E when selecting a knob and while holding E use the mouse scroll wheel to move forward and backward with the offset speed. Negative offset speed will move backward. Positive offset speed will move forward.
@@WaybackGuy i got that part but i failed to put a few more brain cells together to realize the part i failed to pay attention to. This guide worked better than the tut and i deeply appreciate it. After wanting to play since vargskelethor played it the first time ive had it but never played because of this reason. And now i can!

bro the polarity filter procent keeps going up and down no matter what i do and i cant do anything
You got to press and hold E to grab the polarity knob then while holding E use the scroll wheel up/down on your mouse to move the numbers up/down until the filter stops.
@@WaybackGuy i was doing that but it just doesnt work for the past 2 weeks and it just doesnt work, im giving up on this game, im so done, im so dissapointed
It should get less jittery the closer you get to equilibrium. If it doesn't then maybe try another version? The last version I played was 0.7.
Did you try switching the Polarity mode? There is another switch to the left that swaps between polarity mode. Only one of the three polarity modes will work and it's random which works each time.

The Save button should save the signal to your desktop PC in game. Make sure the signal is highlighted on the Playback screen before hitting save.
when I try to listen to it it says module not found
Do you mean on the Playback panel next to the downloading panel. Try using the big scroll bar on the top center of the Playback control panel. Press and hold E on it then use the mouse scroll wheel to move the selection up and down so the signal is highlighted, before pressing the Play button on the panel.
