"Stop telling people your plans" is very underrated advice. When I was first going into college I told everyone that I was going to be a computer engineer with a minor in German. I said it so many times that I believed that the goal would just manifest itself with little work on my part. I didn't really do anything those first two years and left college defeated and unmotivated. It took some time, but I learned my lesson after that and now let the future me enjoy the fruits of my hard work now. I keep my goals bottled within me and use the them as the motivation for what I do. Telling others all our it just sucks the motivation out if us so we end up talking or than actually doing.

Whenever I feel down, I come here and watch some of Ruri's videos. I'm pretty sure Ruri is an old soul, I feel so impressed to see such a young girl with such a powerful mindset, such determination. It inspires me. I'm in a really nice, comfortable, well-paying job that took a lot of effort and made me mentally ill, and when I think about just sitting around and being comfortable the rest of my life in a job that I don't like, I know I would have a miserable life. This year I decided to go get the life I want, I refuse to have a miserable life at a job I don't even have for the right reasons. Thank you so much Ruri, you opened my eyes this year, I don't feel like it's too late for me anymore. :)

If I had been able to catch these videos when I was in my teens, I can't imagine how different my life would have been. I am jealous of how strong you have made your mind! "It takes courage to say NO to people and actually do what you believe in". This can manifest in many ways not only literally saying "No" to a request, but also saying no mentally and metaphorically. Mentally say NO to consuming unwanted content on social media, mentally say NO to "friends" who add 0 value to your life, mentally say NO to traditions you no longer want to follow, mentally say NO to habits you want to break, etc.
It isn't only about saying NO to people who make you an offer or ask for something from you, it's also about saying NO to yourself in order to start seeing the changes you want to see in your life that will allow for progress and self-improvement.
Fantastic video as always, Ruri. 🖖

It's not always in our control though. Sometimes, you work hard and do everything right and something external intervenes and you don't get the result you should have had. Working hard usually pays, and i firmly believe in it, but something, there are unfortunate chains of events that can bring the hardest working, more resilient person down. Don't beat yourself up. Take a break. Don't give up. 👍

Ruri did a video on "friends" to avoid. You need to surround yourself with friends that inspire, that exude excellence in what they do or are striving to do. Friends that build your confidence and drive. If you're "annoyed" by the comments from today's "friends", that is your first clue! Let them be happy with 'average'. You're aiming for extraordinary!

To avoid doing something, all I have to do is ignore the possibility of future regret. On the other hand, doing something requires overcoming an activation energy, which is usually my fear of failure or judgement. Upon reflection, I realize that overcoming fear is really about accepting the possibility of future regret. It follows then that once I have identified something I want to do, I simply need to accept the possibility of regretting my actions instead of ignoring the regret of inaction. It's easier to follow through when viewed in this way because of the realization that the possibility of regret will be there either way. I've allowed avoiding actions to provide the illusion of control in the past. I need to accept that I don't always have control and that's okay. I should ground my identity in the direction I choose to go rather than attaching myself to my starting point.
To continue to do something, discipline and motivation are required. Discipline and motivation are big words, but they're just that: words. Discipline and motivation will come naturally when you reflect on your actions properly. Take drinking alcohol for example. In the moment, what are the benefits? I would say the primary one is reduced awareness of your fears, resulting in a lower activation energy to partake in group actions, which in turn results in short-term fun and easier social acceptance from fellow drinkers. How about the negatives? Well, you're poisoning your body and damaging your liver. Additionally, the positive I mentioned above becomes a negative in the long-term. You learn to ignore your fears and medicate them with alcohol instead of coming to terms with them... it's just another form of avoidance. It's harder, but you can achieve the same social acceptance without alcohol. I should know... I've been sober for 7 months and lost 60 lbs without changing anything else about my social life.
Creating change is hard, and it's scary because choosing to create change in a bad or unoptimized direction is entirely possible. However, nature demonstrates that change is inevitable, so we must adapt or be left behind. In other words, standing still may provide the illusion of safety, but really it just guarantees that life will run you over. Since inaction cannot give you control over your life, the most important thing is to identify which direction you want to move in. I'm still working out the best way to do that, but I believe that trial and error is a good place to start. It's important to remember that just because you've been going one way, it doesn't prevent you from turning around. Additionally, while there might be bad ways to approach life - like inaction or allowing others to manipulate your path for their own benefit - there also may not be a single best path. Nobody has all the answers; we should appreciate diversity, for we paint the picture of human existence together.

If you feel like you're wasting your life & want to make a change, here are some steps you can take to start living a more fulfilling & purposeful life:-
    1. Reflect on your values & goals: Take some time to think about what truly matters to you & what you want to achieve in life. Clarify your values & set meaningful goals that align with them. This will give you a sense of purpose & direction.
    2. dentify time-wasting activities: Evaluate how you spend your time & identify activities that are not aligned with your values or goals. These could include excessive social media use, watching too much TV,🖥 or engaging in unproductive habits. Recognizing these activities will help you redirect your time & energy towards more meaningful pursuits.
    3. Prioritize & plan: Once you have a clear sense of your values & goals, prioritize them & create a plan of action. Break down your long-term goals into smaller, actionable steps that you can work on consistently. Set deadlines & hold yourself accountable to stay on track.
    4. Eliminate distractions: Minimize distractions that prevent you from being productive & achieving your goals. This may involve reducing your screen time, creating a dedicated workspace, or setting boundaries with people who may interrupt your focus.
    5. Develop new habits: Cultivate positive habits that contribute to personal growth & well-being. This could include reading regularly, exercising, practicing mindfulness/meditation🧘‍♂️, learning new skills, or pursuing hobbies that bring you joy and fulfillment. Start small & gradually incorporate these habits into your daily routine.
    6. Surround yourself with supportive people: Surround yourself with individuals who inspire & motivate you. Seek out like-minded individuals who share your interests & aspirations. Build a support network that encourages your personal growth & provides accountability.
    7. Take calculated risks: Stepping outside your comfort zone & taking calculated risks can lead to personal growth & new opportunities. Embrace challenges and be open to learning from both successes & failures. Don't let fear hold you back from pursuing your passions & dreams.
    8. Practice self-care: Take care of your physical, mental, & emotional well-being. Prioritize self-care activities such as getting enough sleep, eating nutritious food, exercising regularly, & engaging in activities that help you relax and recharge.
    9. Stay focused & persevere: Stay committed to your goals, even when faced with obstacles/setbacks.
Remember Ruri, changing your life takes a lot of time & effort.
You have to be patient with yourself & celebrate small victories or little things along the way.
Each day is an opportunity to make choices that align with your values & bring you closer to living a more meaningful & fulfilling life.
🤍❤ all your videos #RURI👍 keep spreading positive energy.

i needed this video, i failed many things in my life in my last few years, including a serious relationship. now i am almost 33 and suffer from chronic hipersensitivity pneumonitis. i am home all day,no working, just oxygen therapy 24/7(not to mention that after almost half a year of hospitals and treatment i put on me 30kg+). i need to change my life, learn new skills to earn a living online like i used to do while in college. despite my condition i lack motivation,go to bed late and wake up late. it is hard to stay focused when you know that you are young yet very sick and only chance for a normal life is a future lung transplant. however i need money for this but i still do nothing. i purchased a domain and hosting for a new website to build 3 months ago,did nothing so far..... hope to find the motivation i used to have once more. be blessed Ruri.
P.S about my weight at least I am on a diet,at least this I do good, lol.

Very interesting, but I can't say I can relate to this. As much as I respect the way you see life and how you should live it, it sounds to me like another way of being a slave of your ambitions. Forgive my poor English in advance, but I'd like to say something about that since many "influencers" on the internet are trying to explain to us "how to be happy and successful".
Having to establish such a list of things to do, not to do, to think and not to think, in order to be "happy and successful" is not something that will work for everyone (That was probably not your claim in the first place though, but wanted to point that out).
This whole mentality about being "self made successful" is not necessarily healthy and that's something I hear way too often. "Success" is a word that doesn't mean anything, or at least doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. Most of the time it's all about how you'd like to be perceived by others and how much money you make / how prestigious your job is.
It's funny to see that many people with that kind of "inspiration speech" are all looking for the same goal in the end. Fame and money.
It's great to have goals but building your life around goals tend to be a massive trap. If you spend your life running after something, you'll never be happy cause there will always be something new to achieve.
People sometimes should worry a bit more about enjoying their lives and the very little time we've got here. Not sure I would enjoy mine if I had to take each day as another battle to prove I'm a winner...
Hopefully my English makes sense (Not my native language, obviously) but if anyone comes here and feels a bit overwhelmed about that kind of speech, just don't worry too much. Having a simple life is nothing to be ashamed of.
Wishing you and everyone else the best, but don't forget that life can be wonderful too if you stop worrying so much about being successful or productive. You're a living being, not a computer.

One of the best video about that how to achieving yourself own goals really effective and fast and yeah I agree that for this required first motivation (I mean necessary such reason which will be continue make to you change to yourself life in better side without stop and also overcome all obstacles courses on this way to the best future about what you dreaming) and secondly you necessary to become more responsibility for yourself actions and that what you're doing everyday, what you're choosing and third be brave because we should always improving to yourself for our awesome goals and future life and for sure there will be big quantity of different challenges.

Everyone likely has their own formula for achieving personal goals. Seemingly it should include the risk/benefit factor, time/resource management, being flexible,
evaluate/adapt/or abandon-review, plan of attack for success/actions-taken. Personal productivity is not a one size fits all formula.

I never comment or like until I’ve watched the whole video and this one held my interest all the way to the end. 👍
I would also like to add that people should have a higher purpose than themselves. When I have an attitude that I have something to give to the world, I feel more motivated.
