- Cairo is known for having a very rich and diverse culture due to Egypt's history as one of the oldest civilisations of the world. Along with this, they have a very eclectic shopping experience which varies from boutique shops to street markets which are on almost every corner! Beware of the scammers though....they are as plentiful as the bazaars and you can very easily be ripped off if you don't keep your wits about you! More so if you are a tourist. However, you can also get some really amazing bargains if you take the time to look around.

I dream of going to Cairo some day. I have been to Morocco twice and would love to go back. I am aware because of the “ scammers” in the souks there however I did bring home some beautiful things. Your purchases were beautiful. I love to see this kind of content

Fridge magnets are the best souvenirs! I always come back with at least 3 from every place I go to. Absolutely love your haul especially the coasters. It’s making me want to go to Egypt.

I remember a thread on reddit. Worst place they visited and so many women answered Egypt. They say the men are the worst kinds and showed very predator behaviors and a lot got grouped too.

Damn they got you on the earrings I'm from New York but my parents from Egypt and when I go out there I got a team of my family with me I saw earrings like that the guy was trying to give it to me for 5 lb just cuz I'm born in America and my heritage is Egyptian they're all a bunch of fucking thieves out there but the people that's not hustling they the ones that make me want to keep coming back because it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world
