I’d rather have an Egyptian tour guide over a Westerner. It’d make for a more authentic experience, and the local people could use the business.
100%! I’m not a tour guide-I work with Egyptian tour guides on all my trips. They handle all the history and culture, and I help with logistics, nightlife (which local guides and companies unfortunately aren’t able to do due to tourism police regulations), Arabic translation, and all the little things that pop up on every trip. All of my partners are local Egyptian companies 👍🏼.
There are some residents already in the New Capital, about 1500 families so far and they are expecting about 10,000 by years end. A good many tens of thousands apartments like mine are finished but not yet occupied. Hopefully in a year or 2 there will be a lot more options as far as supermarkets and restaurants go to make it easier to move in.
I am Egyptian expat and I disagree, it is good to see this progress, foreigners working in Egypt and promoting the nation to other westerners. Thank you for promoting Egypt.
My pleasure-I love Egypt and want to help facilitate tourism any way I can 💪🏼

Egyptian authorities services must be improved. TH-camrs with 10 milion viewers are complaining of them. One like that can decline potential visitors by 50%.

That’s my recommendation too-there just wasn’t enough to see at this point. But maybe in the future there will be more to experience!

Do not forget that there is a cathedral called the Cathedral of the Birth of Christ, a city dedicated to the Olympic Games, the Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque, the largest mosque in Egypt, the Garden City neighborhood with a European character, and many beautiful places in the new capital.
Looking forward to seeing them when they’re completed.

The new administrative capital takes the same steps as the city of Dubai at the beginning of its construction. It is also planned to have many skyscrapers in the first phase, which is divided into three phases that have been completed, including the Olympic City, which contains the Second Egypt Stadium, the largest stadium in the world, and a mill city for the arts. The largest possible number of gardens in the global classification of the Green River has also been obtained, and environmentally friendly means of transportation will also be used for more motels and international hotels, and the city will be finished the city in the year 2030.
What do you mean by “the city will be disposed of”? The Olympic City?

Completion of work in the city 😂
Thank you for this wonderful video. I hope you enjoy your time in Egypt.
Thank you!
Interesting, although I thought it would be more of the city working by now. Have a trip to New Alamein as well, maybe it's more developed by now. Also, a good excuse for some time at the sahel 😉
Let me know what you think of New Alamein-I want to visit, as well.
Most of the residential areas are working, I know a few people who had already moved, there isn't much to do there yet tho. And yah, New Alamein is much more developed/active, and already a tourist destination, but it's also a much smaller city
It will take some time to move all the government entities out there. Then the private sector, then actual people working and having to deal with these will move. It’s also a project for projected growth so keep that in mind.

Pretty cool, I was waiting to see the financial/banking district too, some amazing architecture there, and it's right next to the government district. Also, the "Arc de Triomphe" is actually called the "Pharaonic or Hypostyle Hall".
Thanks for the clarification! I was going off the Google Maps name.

I’m interested to see how long it takes for them to finish it and what the finished city looks like 😎.
There is a maket in the iconic tower shows the final look of this city
Well, in 2030 Egypt might be bankrupt. This year they had to sell a city and get an 8 BILLION loan from the IMF and they reduced the value of their currencu otherwise they would have to declare bankruptcy. Let's see what they are going to sell next.

Excellent , loved the whole trip

It’s beautiful ❤ love it
I’m looking forward most to seeing the financial district when it’s completed.
Thank you for the lovely tour! I would just like to correct a piece of info for you, the Monorail isn't built from October City all the way to the capital, it is meant as a comlimentary system to the pre-exisitng Metro and subterranean railway system we possess. So it is divided to The West of Nile Monorail and The East of Nile Monorail. The way it would work if you want to travel from October would be as follows:
You would take the closest Monorail station to you in October all the way to the end of West of Nile line in Haram where you would switch over to the traditional metro, go all the way to Cairo Stadium in Nasr City where you will switch once more to the East Of Nile Monorail which will take you to the New Capital through New Cairo. I hope this makes sense, cheers!
Thanks for the correction!
Wow. I heard it only 3 years ago. Really so fast, they set new capital
Yes, it seems like there are construction crews working almost nonstop. Still a lot to do, though.
Impressive, Egypt growing

He makes fun of the presence of millions of Syrian, Palestinian, and Sudanese refugees in Egypt, despite Egypt's weak economy, and they are working to increase crowding and consume Egyptians' resources...There are about 9 million refugees in Egypt, making up approximately 8 percent of the world’s refugees!!!
This city is for Egyptians
And the work started on it before you started killing the Palestinian people whom by the way are not going anywhere away from there land no matter what you will do
That’s something Egypt is constructing from day one
So only in your dreams anything else could happen 😒

Wowwww.....I love it...wonder what will they name this new city...
We’ll see 😎
I feel like the new architecture is really tasteful and feels very Egyptian. Amazing how they can just build a new city, I think they’re doing the same thing in South Korea.
Some of the buildings they are doing definitely evoke certain aspects of ancient Egypt or pay homage to certain architectural aspects of ancient structures 🤓. The business district not so much, though.
Thank you for video. Think it will be quite awhile before it's really fully up n running. Nothing like Cairo, no people, no heart.
Yes, I definitely felt the difference between Cairo and the New Capital. I’ll stay in Cairo for a while ❤️
Thanks
My pleasure!
the public transport there seems much cleaner and better than even los angeles, wow. Though I see that the new capital is still definitely a work in progress
The new train that I rode was really nice-it’s also brand new, so that helps!
Welcome to Egypt, my dear brother. I strongly advise you to visit the city of El Alamein. It is truly the crown jewel of the Mediterranean.
It’s on the list ❤️
There are some wonderful places in the New Administrative Capital that you can experience, such as the third largest mosque in the world, the sports club, the cultural district, the museum, the library, and others.
Unfortunately at this point, nothing is really open and available to the public except maybe the mosque and the St. Regis Elmasa hotel.
5:23 Small correction, but there are two monorails. One is going from nasr city to the new capital, the 6th of October one is another Monorail that goes from El Mohandessin to 6th of October
Thank you for pointing this out and for watching.
I guess this is Egypt's answer to UAE's Dubai. I've heard that a year or two from now the city will really be bustling, by that time I'll be watching apartment hunting videos. I really hope this city doesn't fail or turn into a ghost city as Japan and China have many ghost cities that I had the opportunity to visit.
I hope so too!

I’m really hoping new Alamein, this city and ras Al Hekma become successful cities. The Egyptian people deserve to have a future after years of stagnation (especially the youth)

You are welcome... Being an American in Egypt, what is the worst thing you found in Greater Cairo or Egypt in general?..
@@El-Yassin I really feel for local Egyptians, because everything in the economy has become so much harder for everyday people, because of the current value of the local currency and the stagnation of salaries, so I’d say that’s the worst thing I’ve found, in my opinion.
@@EgyptAdventuresTravel
Yes, and this is the reason why there are more than 15 million Egyptians abroad, most of whom are scientists, doctors, and even chefs. I believe there are a million and a half Egyptians in your country. During the era of the Egyptian Kingdom, the Egyptian pound was like a piece of gold and was more expensive than the dollar and the sterling pound. The Greeks and Italians used to work for the Egyptians, but the situation is reversed now 🥺..

Just 2 points:
Monorail will not be one line from October to the New capital
They are 2 lines one from new october to mohandseen and one from cairo stadium to the new capital
Secondly the New capital already have an airport but kinda far but you can search on Google maps it is there
Thanks for clarifying!
To which airport are you referring? Cairo International Airport?
The New Capital Airport hasn’t been built yet.
@@EgyptAdventuresTravel Not CAI There is an airport for the new capital it was an old airport but renovated. Search on google
Please move to New Cairo as soon as possible
What do you mean? I’m very happy in downtown Cairo 😎.
very nice
u could have checked the cathedral also
I'll have to do that on my next visit!
Thank you for your efforts and presentation.
What obstacles do you face in egypt right now that you wish to be more developed ?
I wish the timeline for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum could be sped up so that the museum can open with certainty by the fall of 2024. It’s going to bring so much tourism and attention to Egypt!
As an Egyptian I wish I could afford living in the new capital
Do they offer subsidies for housing in the New Capital like they are offering in some newly developed areas?
The amount of lush greenery makes it seem like they've always been there and not planted recently
I’m guessing they planted already mature plants in order to make it look like it does 👍🏼
Good for Egyptians 👍
Thanks for watching!
You know I heard about this "new capital" and I thought it was just a proposed project. I had no idea they are, actually, going through with it. To my astonishment, the buildings are up, roads, monorail, hotels, mosque. I am quite surprised by all of this, AND we still have the GEM to open in the near future.
If the GEM ever opens 😰
Big up yourself 🇰🇪
?
Can you please make more videos on the new capital. There is not much content out there on the new city
Unfortunately there’s not much more to see than what I did. Hopefully I can do a new video in a year or so when more is open and available to the public. Thanks for watching!
Very cool to see the progress of the New Admin City, but I always wonder what they could have done with that money Egypt’s infrastructure and improving its existing cities?
