    Excellent, I have the same Air intake. Only problem is that like the other comment said, it's not good to drive in flooded area.
    Only mod that's left maybe is the Borla S type exhaust.

    Hey Brandon, I live in a snowy area, do you think I should be worried about the potential of the engine hydro locking? Got the same intake, I'm thinking about ways to protect the filter from the snow. Let me know if you got some ideas!

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I live in Florida and it rains a bunch with lots of puddles. And I haven’t had any problems yet.
      But they do sell a hydro shield. That you can put over the filter to help prevent water to get in. If you want some extra protection

  • @CorollaCarClub
    @CorollaCarClub 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Bad idea , Myself you can get the same HP with a K&N filter , Not only that keeping the heat out of the intake in your case not only will your air filter suck up moisture in the rain if you hit a puddle you wetting it cause that splash guard is not solid water proof

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I was going to be putting a Hydrosheild on air filterto keep the water out. And before I installed the cold air intake I had a K&N filter with the stock air box. I would honestly say it’s more for sound than anything.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are asking about the hydro shield, they should sell something for the 2019 corollas to go over the filter.

    • @BrandonStellmach

      It is a nice intake. It sounds good. And maybe a little power gain. But I don’t think it’s worth the almost $300 price tag.

  • @gstyles5668
    @gstyles5668 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Any noticeable power gain from this intake? Throttle response? I've seen the video from mighty car mods guys on cold air intake install and they showed on the dyno that there was no HP gain at all so wondering. Im going to install the Pedal Commander in mine, supposed to make a big difference.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly I want to say I felt a small increase on the low end of acceleration! But it could just be a placebo affect! 😂
      And as for the pedal commander, I had one in my Camry, and I wouldn’t say it worth the $300. All it does it make your pedal more or less sensitive when you press on it! I think it’s something cool to have, just not for $300.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you are going to need to, because there are some bolts you need to get to, so you can take off the old intake brackets. I wouldn’t be scared to take the bumper off, because it’s really easy to take off and put on. I show how to take it off in the video!

    What kind of reservoir under left fender? The washer tank is under right fender. Please explain purpose of it.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure what it is, I believe it might be for the Japanese version of the car. And they just leave it there. But nothing was hooked up to it, that’s why I just took it out.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s because for the European version of the car. Them being on the opposite side of the car, there washer fluid needs to get moved from the left to the right side. And when they make the American car they just leave the extra part in there and don’t bother removing it.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That other reservoir is for the intake system, it is there to help muffle the sound of the stock intake. You do not need it to make the car run. Only would be needed if you have the stock intake. When I first did this as well and had no idea.
      I hope this helps!

    Bad spot for air filter...should have been a straight run front

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s the best way to get it out of the engine bay, without having to do any modifying to the car, and they also sell a short ram intake, which keeps the filter higher up and easier to get to, it just doesn’t get as much cold air. But one of the down sides of having the filter so low is I have to watch out for driving into big puddles!

  • @tommyd6665
