James Fox just comes across as so wonderfully intelligent, thoughtful, articulate, self-aware and humorous. This is what class, gentlemanliness and manners look like.
I am so very pleased to have happened upon this interview and thrilled to know that James is a believer, which to me is a nice encouraging boost. Just what I needed. Wonderful interview. Two great guys.
Excellent man! Charming, intelligent, real and very grounded. A most thoughtful and enjoyable conversation and top marks to Paul Jones for his intelligent, thoughtful questions. I rather think we would be unlikely to see an interview of this quality today...
James Fox, a class act! I love the boyish, impish roles he's played. He made it look so easy. I would have loved to have seen him in more light fare. He was equally adept at comedy and drama. Thank you for posting this interview, it was a great conversation. 😊
James Fox is tall, handsome, classy, the finest kind of Englishman. I love every single film in which he is. As a convert to Christianity , I wonder what he now thinks of his role in "Maurice"? he did it superlatively well. If you read this, dear ,dear James Fox, would you please respond?
James Fox its 19 may 2018 In Australia watching and not the 1st time "A PASSAGE TO INDIA"❤ It and you and your performance 🌟 And you similar voices you and Laurence / what a dear man you are and fascinated re your happenings with religious experience ... Love your acting /a wonderful husband and father/so articulate Great interview so enjoyed 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌈
James Fox was a huge Hollywood star in the '60's when he gave up acting , much better known than Edward Fox. Edward Fox's breakthrough part was in 'The Go-between' leading to 'The Day of the Jackal'.
James is a cool dude, he had a rough time filming “Performance”, in which he questioned his whole idea of what it means to exist as a human being after filming it. James got past that and he always spoke well of Anita Pallenberg who later admitted to treating James badly on the set of “Performance” - that tells you all you need to know about James Fox. He was a great actor before he found God - and he was/is a great actor after. Fascinating man, I like him.
When this man asked of god "What do you want me to do", I wonder, as a sceptic, what God said. How does god sound? Is God male or female? The interview was, nonetheless, very interesting. Thank you.
He is talking about playing Fielding in A Passage To India,in which Guinness played Godbole ,,,a Hindu Professor, Goodness gracious me,Ridiculous, I presume these two were at prep school and Harrow together, The cockney mania of Stamp/Caine of the early and middle 60s didnt last long,The toffs took back control

Good James
Watch him playing Chas in Performance with Jagger. . He's lesser known alongside Edward, but still, this guy could act.

He played Chas VERY well.

The servant . Performance .

he'd make an excellent butler.
Alfred in Batman?

I see Laurence in some of his mannerisms.

Stiff and not very enlightening but for most part honest.
"stiff and not enlightening"? Actually the opposite is true. It is not at all stiff, and VERY enlightening.
