Lois Mawell will always be the real Moneypenny, no one else will play that role as well as she. She was beautiful and charming. Honor Blackman is the only The Avengers girl that I have never seen more than just bits of her episodes. I loved the other 3 Avengers, but Honor was physically stronger and had better fighting skills, I think she was a tough woman by nature. She was gorgeous and is just wonderfull playing Pussy Galore in Goldfinger. She is actually one of the best things in that Bond movie. This interview is a treasure.
    RIP Honor Blackman
    RIP Lois Maxwell
    RIP Guy Hamilton
Your Bond movies will be here forever, like diamonds.

This is so great that I think a lot of us doesn´t realise it?! They are so natural and organic.
No Botox-filled lips, no Red Bull, no disgusting metal or plastic in their faces, no idiotic tattoes on their necks - etc. Everyone is civil, courteous and polite.
They look good. They talk like real people. They don´t go bananas over some sexual innuendo. They seem relaxed. And so forth.
More class. More style. Hence; classier people in classier times.
    Respect!

It's quite telling that you comment on looks first. Even more telling is your archaic view on people with tattoos and piercings (who, I might add, are some of the loveliest people, and they certainly wouldn't take cheap pot shots at others' appearances or choices like some fishwife).
Regardless, I'm guessing you're just another "Old man shouts at cloud" type who doesn't have the emotional maturity to show love for something old without also shitting on something new.
Next time a doctor with a tattoo or piercing treats you or saves your life, maybe show them some "respect" by loosening your grip on the pearls and re-think your idea of morality.

When this aired in January 1975, The Man With The Golden Gun was the most recent James Bond film in the cinemas then, and there would not be a new James Bond film until 1977 with The Spy Who Loved Me

Guy Hamilton raises the possibility of Bond in a romantic story. Perhaps he was hibernating during “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” In any case, I am so thankful he didn’t direct that one; just his absence enhanced the film greatly! Lois Maxwell’s few days in Portugal were because of Bond’s wedding. (My favourite film of the series!)
The film they discuss here, “Man With the Golden Gun,” was one of the worst of all time. Yes, that includes that stupid car stunt - performed to the sound of a slide whistle! Hamilton was truly the most overrated director of the bunch. And the word “overrated” fits “Goldfinger” like a tailoured Savile Row suit!

God, Guy was such a misogynist. That he hired Honor to play perhaps the strongest female of the 60s is so perplexing and a wonderful fluke. "Men are motivators. Women are scenery." Glad Honor was there to force him to admit that women can be just as strong as men.

Lois Maxwell was very bitter when her role was taken over by a younger actress, Caroline Bliss, and was very bitchy about her at the premiere of The Living Daylights.

    • @Dragonfly-0010
      @Dragonfly-0010 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

INCORRECT ! Lois Maxwell retired from the series after A View to A Kill, as she felt she'd look ridiculous pining over a actor 20 years younger than her as Timothy Dalton was. I'm old enough to remember this in an interview she gave back then.
