    Love my 2019 Equinox 2.0T Premier. Definitely my favorite car I’ve owned. Fast takeoff and get lots of compliments on the Cajun red paint mine has

    Had a 2014 equinox , loved that suv was baby blue, got a honda CRV in 2021, can't beleive how quiet the cabin was in my equinox compared to this new CRV.

    I’ll never forget the day in 2008 my neighbor bought an equinox, came home and gave me crap for owning an “import” Honda. His face when I told him his engine was built in China was priceless 😂

      I had a coworker talk crap on my Toyota because he said it was a little asian ricer. He told me you should drive a real mans car made in America like me. The guy drove a Dodge Charger. When i told him his Dodge Charger was made in Canada and owned by Italians the look on his face was priceless😂 Then i told him my Toyota was made in Texas in the USA. He didn’t believe me until he looked at the manufacturer sticker on my door jam lol.

    Great review. Concise. I have a ‘23 LS with the blackened sport package. I’m very happy with it. I’d trade the 1.5 for the 2.0 in a heartbeat. But
    Like you said, can’t lament on the past.

    Why do you guys always review the top of the line versions of a particular model? Betting the LT sells more than the premier.

      I’d bet that you’re right, but we review the vehicles that we can get access to, and understandably, manufacturers tend to provide the high spec versions with all the bells and whistles. We do our best to note what is standard, what’s a paid option, and what’s worth upgrading to when appropriate. Thanks for being a viewer!

      Don't blame Cargurus. Blame the manufacturer for always sending the fully loaded top trims so they can impress the reviewer.

    Nice review! You have an engaging style. Renting well-equipped LT right now, I like it overall. Your observations are spot on, although I think the styling is the most attractive in its class.

  • @keytothegate68
    @keytothegate68 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Exactly. It looks alright but the worst part is driving it due to it being under powered. Same as nearly all the other four bangers.

    • @goforho7257
      @goforho7257 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on perspective. When I first got my license I wanted a new 83 Rabbit GTI. With 90hp, 5 speed manual it did 0-60 in 9.7 secs which was considered lightening fast at the time. Equinox shaves a second off of that and it is 'under powered'?

    Performance is going to be a compromise in any of these compact crossovers. As you said, they're all pushing 4,000 lbs and the base engine (that most people get) ranges from the Chevy's low 175 HP up to just about 200 HP. Yep, they're all fairly sedate with acceleration because manufacturers are trying to balance these inherently weighty and poorly aerodynamic vehicles with fuel economy goals they're trying to reach. Midsize sedans would make a lot more sense from that perspective since they weigh about 500 lbs less and are more aerodynamic, but people want to sit up higher, have hatchback like cargo room and have AWD (even if they don't really need it). Hybrid powertrains can help a compact crossover, but that makes them more expensive. Again, everything is a compromise for the manufacturers to meet their goals and give the consumer what they want.

    • @stephenzerfas5307
      @stephenzerfas5307 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Was going to say the same and most every reviewer I have seen says the same. I think the only issue with 6 speed is that it was tuned for economy in exchange of acceleration.

    I believed all this BS GM advertising and got me a 2023 RS Equinox, a few days afterward. I noticed a vibration the soonest. I put on any gear or go between 35 and 40 miles. I took it back to the dealership and got their classic answer, there's nothing wrong everything it's normal and 3 months later it seems like the vibration is getting worse and the dealership answer still the same, everything is normal so I am telling everyone. I know not to buy Chevy anymore, for they don't stand behind their products warranty

You go to the new car part of the lot and you might see a couple EVs and $60k trucks and that's about it. Hard to believe other dealers are discounting when around here they are selling anything they get in before they can pull them off the truck.

    Chevrolet Engineknocks. Pile of junk. My mechanic has four of them torn down in his shop with the engines fell apart. He laughs. Every time he sees one going down the road. American car manufacturers are a joke, they are more concerned with their stockholders than they are with the people who buy their cars. The subcontracting of parts on American made vehicles by trashy manufacturers should be a crime. After 70 years, I’ve come to the conclusion, and after buying so many American made cars when I was a younger man, that American car manufacturers don’t give a damn about the people who buy their cars. They don’t want you to come back and don’t care if you don’t come back or not all they’re concerned about is their stock price. As far as I’m concerned, if it doesn’t say Toyota Lexus on it, it does not fit in my driveway or my garage.

    I can say this vehicle is ugly on the inside an out! Just rented this for two weeks and it was terrible, The screen is small the controls are not in convent locations, it does not even have a glove box lock, no gas cap, no locking gas lid either! The performance is so slow so many blind spots and needs a better handle for the lift gate. Overall it needs a total redesign for sure even my kids thought it was a 2018 car.
