The tan seats do not look too terrible with the black interior tbh. But the steering wheel has to go for sure in my opinion. Anyways, great video Mike!
All black seats and headliner... see if you can get a wood grain ebrake, it'll add to the luxury effect you're shooting for.
He needs a wood Grant wheel... A real wood one to grip some grain.
I browse the catalog and the Elegante seems to match the best as far as design, it's a solid wood wheel, but it's a light mahogany so he needs something darker

Yessssss. Looking awesome man. If the smell is bad just get a little ozium spray. I used it when I painted my headliner. It's not a great smell, but once it dissipates it takes the smell right out.

Another tip for your
Spray cans is heat up the can in some hot water or a heat gun. Makes the spray so much better.

I would reupholster the stock seats in a padded leather to match the steering wheel. Maybe black piping or something to keep the theme.
Ik this is an old video but thanks for making this video. A lot of people tell me don’t do what your doing but it’s hard to find a gs300 in black interior especially the full carpet in black . Im gonna do this 💯

I reckon you should get the seats reupholstered or new seats all together. Contrast is nice but that tan just doesn't seem to do it for me.

Wow! I have a 96 SC400 also with tan and poop brown interior. I already knew SEM made great products.... your interior looks like it came from the factory black (minus the tan bits and pieces) How has it held up? And are you able to use vinyl products on the dash still?

Hey what's going on? I'm in the process of painting my 92 SC interior black. I was wondering how well did the Duplicate Black paint hold up on the Carpet as well as the interior plastic?
You should do the steering wheel black with dark brown stitching , also use angelus paint the lion either red or wood grain pattern . Make sure to use 303 aerospace protectant on the panels to give it uv protectant . If you also want other good JDM brands of protectants check out soft99 for waxes , coatings , etc , then when you want to ceramic coat look up hikari diamond coating they also make tire and wheel coatings . the seats would look good black with dark brown perforated inserts to match the wood grain .

I used duplicolor black on my carpet in my truck just warning you it does fade when you clean or vaccum the carpet.

Looks cool. Should have Por15 the floorboards while you had the carpet out. Northeast winters and all.
A led kit would also be nice for the gauges and lights also then instead of dying the headliner just buy a roll of alcantara padded headliner in black . Any extra weight or improper adhesive will cause sagging so be careful .
Looks much more modern.

Did you brush the fabric while painting? I did this once with my old Honda and the shit came out crispy. Delicious bacon crispy.

I know it's been a while since you posted this but would recommend if anyone wants to color their carpet to use Rit dye. Mix in a spray bottle and scrub into carpet. Since it is a dye you wont have to worry about crispy, but also much much cheaper than a can of spray paint.
Also, Rit dye website has color formulas to get any color you can imagine - But also color correction. Example to get the blackest black when dying brown carpet, you add some Navy Blue to the dye mix to cancel out the brown.
