    Russia has invaded the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine and taken over its civilian and military infrastructure. Not a shot has been fired so far, but Russia is using its superior force to intimidate Ukrainian troops in an attempt to get them to surrender.
    Russia claims it wants to stabilize the situation on the peninsula, which has a large Russian population, but Ukraine's new government regards the move as an occupation of its sovereign territory.

      You are talking nonsense. Why do these people have to die? almost all are alive. Let me remind you that the Russians took the Crimea in a couple of days with almost no losses, in total 2-3 soldiers died there (if you count together with the Ukrainians). And the Crimea was almost not subjected to battles, all these civilians are still alive (with the exception of those who have already died of old age) and the soldiers, most likely, are also almost all alive. Russia does not have as many losses as they tell you on TV, because otherwise there would be a real panic here and everyone would be called up, but I live in Russia and nothing has changed since the beginning of the war, except for the prices of some products. As for the Crimea: It was an exemplary-ideal operation. The Ukrainians realized who they were fighting, how strong Russia was, and asked the Americans to strengthen the Ukrainian army to a very high level. Theoretically, NATO can strengthen the Ukrainian army to the level of the Russian army, but then everyone in the whole world will die.

      Dennis Ilic Kosovo became a part of Serbia in 1912, before that it was under the Ottoman rule. It always consisted an Albanian majority. In antiquity, the territory of todays Kosovo was called Dardania an ancient Illyrian tribe whose descendants are the Kosovar Albanians. The Slavic tribes (such as: Serbs) came into the balkans together with Avar tribes in the 7th and 8th century. So actualy it doesn't make any sense how could it be always serbian or yugoslavian, when never has the majority within Kosovo been of slavic ancestry. Some serbs may justify Kosovo as theirs by saying that they thought a battle against the ottoman empire in the Battle of Kosovo in the 14th century. But they always forget the mention that within the Serbian army there were also albanians fighting against the invasive turks and they also always tend to forget that the armies of the north (Poland, Hungary etc.) came to help serbia, and they stil lost it.
      I usualy don't bother with ultra-nationalist serbs, but when it comes to Kosovoa, its independence was deserved, the Albanians have always demanded independence and they have always suffered under the Yugoslav authorities.

    • @simonphoenix9891
      @simonphoenix9891 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Zee Utuber : hahahahahaha! Where did you hear THAT?
      Krushchev was neither drunk nor reckless when he ceded control of Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR. You see, during WW2, Crimea was cut off from the Moscow to Sevastopol supply line, and consequently thousands of Crimeans died of starvation. Honestly it was just bad planning by the central government, another famine. So after the war, Ukraine was still producing almost all the grain in the Soviet Union, and Krushchev dictated to the Ukrainians that we were now in control of feeding these poor indigent Crimeans. In 1954, this was a huge burden for us, and we were not happy to have these added mouths to feed. But within 3 years, all of Crimea was well fed and much happier. And consequently Krushchev looked like a genius for this move.
      The time for anyone to complain about Ukraine owning Crimea was back in Feb. 1954, not now! We rehabilitated this poor, starving province and put it back on its feet. Now of course, its a gem that everyone wants. But who actually DESERVES to own Crimea? The country with the legal title to it, of course.............and that's Ukraine!
      This history lesson was brought to you by a former Soviet citizen, now a Ukrainian citizen, who actually knows the history better than anyone..............because I lived it.

      It was Russia's land their men died there and just because a leader gave it to them doesn't mean anything. Russia has that land for memory and for respect Ukraine has it for more buildings.
