People often cite Nihilus as one of, if not the most powerful Sith, but power is a relative thing. While his capability of destruction is enormous, in a certain way rivaling the Death Star, it is nothing he can control or make concious use of. It has killed him and kills everyone around him, until eventually the Universe itself will die. Sure, if you equate power with destructive capability, Nihilus *is* the strongest bar none. But there is no will behind it, no control, no purpose. And in that, Nihilus might be one of the weakest beings of all times. His will is non-existent, he is little more than a brain-dead force of nature.
yeah but you cant kill him, so good luck trying to deny that power lmao
@@CalamityDiamond Yes, but that doesn't make him powerful, as explained previously. It's like as if we'd try to stand against a tsunami. Destructive, yes, but powerful? Only in a certain sense of the word, since there is no will and control behind it.
That is why it's name is so fitting. It's nothing, it devourers everything, it's only in contrast of being and that is why it has no will of it's own.
Power that cannot be controlled will do nothing but destroy everything including eventually the one who wields that power.
He is powerful but he lacks strength
Wow! The Jedi Master Revealed To Be A Witch Who Gave Birth To A Vampire and A Zombie.
Amazing XD
Nihilus is basically a black hole in the Force. Neither a man or a living thing. Consumes any living thing that has the Force within it. A power with empty value in the end.
A ghost (Nihilus), a zombie (Sion), and a witch (Traya/Atris)
Wow, never thought about it that way. If you think about it, Kotor II has many archetipes, but it uses so well that it reaches easily the masterpiece level. The writers behind this were the ones that needed to be summon to write the sequel trilogy 💫
A queen that's young and old (Kreia and Atris as Darth Traya), an assassin in love (Darth Sion), a specter in a different realm of existence (Darth Nihilus) and a young woman, the true heir, stripped of her status and forced into hiding (The exile). Kotor II is Snow White in space.
@@illseeyaonthedarksideofthemoon Soooo... the Mandalorians are the Seven Dwarfs then?
I recently listened to the 3rd boxset of the War Master series of Doctor Who and there is a very specific plotpoint and quote that I feel applies to Nihilus´ reasons for letting Visas live: "To genocide a planet is easy, it can be as simple as pressing a button. But to keep one member of said planet alive, to carefully regulate how they live and to transform them into something more, that is a mark of true power." Mabye Nihilus' bond with Visas was something he got after truly making her his apprentice. As a sort of flex.
When you search for immortality and then gets locked into an eternal quest to not die, destroying whatever reason you want to chase immortality in the first place
I love how she talks about him like he’s her child
“And that may have been the last shed of feeling that exists within him..”
"The less said of that one the better. Even a stray thought may draw him"
That's how Kreia describes Nihilus before encoutering Visas
0:34 that’s exactly how the killing curse works
Sure Darth Nihilus had an extremely powerful connection to the force that allowed him to have some deviating powers. But in that power he was weak his power slowly crippled him and he was able to be defeated by the Jedi.
Actually, from what I understood, The Exile was a force wound as well, so Nihilus, who was extremely powerful from all the power he consumed at this point, wasn't able to drain the life from her, and it's one of the things that allowed her to defeat him.
@@daneyal7162 true
The exile and Nihilus are basicly 2 sides of the same coin. 1 wound in the force. While the exile uses empathy to reconnect to others and by that slowly heals the wound via symbiosis, Nihilus does the opposite. He doesn't try to "kindle"/strengthen connections (remember how almost all the crew-members can become force weilders and the exile actually gets force point bonuses by gaining influence [strengthening the bounds with them]) Nihilus drains the surrounding connections to feed the wounds but this way it doesn't heal. So he kills of everything in draining, parasitic way using basically a combined version of "Death Field" and the Sith Lord prestige power "Crush Opposition"
Vitiate is just a Nihilus wannabe. What makes the latter better is that he doesn’t seek to swallow the galaxy because he wants to, but because he needs it in order to survive.
Vitiate is just classic evil guy, and if I had a guess, he wants to destroy everything because he’s bored. Living 1,300 years will do that to you. I’m not saying that he’s a bad character, but he’s a little cliché, while Nihilus is original and his presence itself intimidates
@@Visitormassacre And that is why SWTOR is a failure of a game.
What have I done?!
Two different characters.
No Vitiate actually retained his intelligence and power. Nihulus became a mindless beast only feeding.
I'm sensing you bear a grudge towards SWTOR? Which is why you disregard Vitiate completely. Nihilus is just inevitable destruction, not even a person anymore. He has no control over anything he does. A very cool concept, I believe one that is unique in the Star Wars universe? So it is not one you can compare to anything else.
If you want to compare Vitiate to anyone, it would be Palpatine.

*And It Rules Him, Not The Other Way Around.*
Nihilus is a hungry insatiable thicc boy for the force... thats all
hunger from THEM and through them
Why can't she just travel to Coruscant, say
"HEYYYYYY now there's 3 Sith Lords who uh killed all the Jedi and are now going to try and destroy the Republic, you wanna help" and then travel with an armada and blow up Sion, Nihlius and Malachor
She couldn't, for certain spoilery reasons. But even if she could, there was no Jedi academy on Coruscant, not anymore. After the devastation of the mandalorian wars and the Jedi civil war there were about 100 Jedi left in the galaxy. But then, at the hands of Sion and Nihilus even those 100 began to vanish. It was the galaxy's first great Jedi purge.
"The Jedi Temple on Coruscant lies empty. The waters in the Room of a Thousand Fountains have fallen still, in reverence to the fallen Jedi… and those now lost." - Kreia
It's not that she couldn't. It's that it isn't what she wanted.
kaver749 When she spoke to the exile about the three sith lords she mentioned that the last one, of betrayal's identity must not be revealed too soon.
Papito Qinn I meant the Republic military like Admiral Onasi etc
Great Jamie Plus at this time the Republic was very weak and was barley holding itself together they were even having trouble managing a space station so i really don't think the Republic would have been of anymore help them the remaining Jedi.
I don’t think Nihilus could win against vitiate
Of course they are both dead lol
Darth nihlius is basically the far left all in one person.
Irrelevant 🙄
True
A needlessly political comment that has zero basis. Sounds about far right 🤡
@@vjc3818 You're just too simple to understand, friend.
@@dare2630 No you just think you're smart, but really just brainwashed by r/conservative, and trying to spread your crap on a star wars video😂 You have 0 supporting evidence aside from "trust me bro". Grow up. Your intelligence is on par with flat-earthers, "friend".
