It wobbles because you likely tightened the plate screws too much, which can cause this. This is usually the result of there being a little bit too much sound dampening material in the case, which doesn’t allow the plate and pcb to mount fully. Release the screws on the sides it wobbles and it will become level again.
i just got RK84 today but for Europe market. As company says they added sound dumping and pre lubed switches, i honestly can't believe how good it sounds and feels as a stock one. I bought it to mod it but i will definitely use it like this for some time :D
I just bought the RK61 and i find out that the spacebar, backspace, tabs, and shift sounds terrible but other keys such as qwerty makes decent thock sound with the stock. I may be thinking of buying a ajazz kiwi switches to make the spacebar sound better lol its kinda annoying
switches arent gonna do much to make a spacebar better, i mean yeah sure the pitch and smoothness is gonna change but the insane amount of rattle is still gonna be there
incredible job with this build. this is probably the best modded rk61 ive ever heard and seen. also idk why everyone is saying the stock version sounds good, IT DOESNT.
@@floppyguyplays7954 Exactly. Nice of you to acknowledge that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and admitting that you do have an opinion on which you're judging sounds.
i did the holle mod with duck tape it worked amazing also try putting a little plastic wrap it the stem holes on your stabs it removes rattle and it doesn't feel mushy!
omg i think i found the best sound for a keyboard ever, now i've got the definitive sound to look forward to when modding my keyboard. my god the mod sounds amazing.
for me it just took a piece of foam and some lubbing to make it sound amazing my keyboard came with pretty much no lube, so it was quite scratchy when typing, but after doing that and adding some foam to the space bar and replacing the given foam with my foam i was able to dampen the sound and make it sound really good and feels so much better to type on no longer do i feel the recoil when typing with my hand and no longer does it feel like i am typing on a hard surface though one issue is that after modding it the on and off switch along with the bluetooth to dongle switch is very difficult to reach i now have to use my pinky nail to turn it on, so I hope in the future they make the switch a bit longer
Some of the cons of the keyboard are : 1. There is no layer for the escape key so any combination with ctrl and ` or ~ is NOT possible. 2. There is no indicator for the layer activation so you will not know if the key 1 is F1. 3. There is no indicator for arrow mode so you will not know if the key "?" is up arrow. 4. There is no indicator for the scroll lock. --- Otherwise the keyboard is good. And I found that position for pgup/down/ home etc are best in this keyboard for fast typing.
I just recently bought the keyboard, and let me tell you, they changed it and upgraded it. The spacebar and the switches feel and sound so much better, all dead spots in the keyboard are now more covered up with foam. Hope this helps future buyers looking into this!
What does each stabilizer mod do? Like, why do you clip them like that and what's the purpose of lubing both the plastic and metal parts, AND with different lube at that?
Can’t use the same lube on stabilizers that you use on switches - a thin lubricant is needed for switches, and a thick lubricant is needed for stabilizers. Lubing stabilizers eliminates rattle and ticking, overall improving the sound by an insane amount. Rattle is usually what makes stock keyboards sound so absolutely terrible. Hope that helps!
will it still sound okay if I just use the same stock stuff and only change the keycaps and switches but not lube it anything? I am a beginner so yeah.
Did you keep the battery in after doing the tape mod or did you put the case foam in between the battery and the tape. I just bought an rk61 and want to know if a fire is still a risk even if there is foam in between the tape and the foam.
@@Xavier_Renegade_Angel rk61 is probably better if you're on a tighter budget because it's 10 dollars cheaper for a bit better value (crappy keycaps and crappy switches, but the keycaps will be good enough for tight budgets)
