    And remember the room rates usually don't include the "resort fees" until the end of booking - but with the rewards cards you can get that taken off at the end sometimes!

    We live 3 hours South of Vegas, and it is our main airport. We also go for concerts, hockey, conventions, or on the way to Utah. I try to avoid staying on the strip, but will occasionally stay at Elera. We're really liking Virgin Hotels, booked with the Hotel Collection. Since we're on wheels, it is just easier for traffic. The best food for the money is off strip, like Firefly Tapas Kitchen, Hofbrauhaus, and 888 Japanese BBQ.

    The explanation of the rating system is pretty good for slots but it's not the same for table games.
    The amount you buy in isn't really considered in your rating for table games. It's all about your average bet and time at the table. That is used to compute the theoretical loss that you mentioned.

    As a semi-frequent Vegas traveler, another reason to plan your trip thoroughly (so you don't rent a car unless you really, really need one) is that:
    A) Every property on the strip charges for parking. They didn't used to in the Before Times, but one casino started to, and the rest followed suit. If you can get it comped, great...otherwise, why spend the money?
    B) The rental cars in Vegas are off airport. There's a shuttle that will take you there, along w/ a lot of other people, so you will FOR SURE need to allow extra time, especially when dropping your car off to get to your flight.
    C) Vegas traffic - it's heavy around the Strip, nearly always, and easy to get stuck in if you don't know your way around. The highways around the Strip get backed up easily as well.
    D) Vegas has ZERO TOLERANCE for DWI/OVI etc. You may think you're the smoothest operator ever once you've imbibed, just know that when they catch you they will drop a dump truck full of anvils on you. (You can also get caught speeding like anywhere else, and being out-of-state/tourist is no excuse.)
    Like Ben said, if you're staying on the Strip, you can walk pretty much most places and you don't need to pay for a rental car.
    Taxis/lyft/uber - you can get these, however I would plan ahead. Given the traffic in Vegas you will be lucky to get one exactly when you want it, and some drivers will not take you far outside of the Strip (like if want to go to one of the parks Ben mentioned) because it's not worth it for them.
    Some properties can have shuttles; these mainly go to certain routes and don't really deviate from them, given the traffic/demand for them, etc.

    I don’t think NYNY deserves to be in same class as Excalibur. Luxor either. NYNY was just renovated so this maybe old but they have done a big renovation and food options are great and affordable. Luxor is far south but I love it. Always have also recently updated and the hosts are massively generous. Excalibur should be down there with circus circus. Rio was bought out and supposedly doing massive revival soon. Still wouldn’t go now. Harrahs is clean but so mid strip which is a plus. I gave up a corner suite on aria for a 1000 sq ft studio suite at NYNY just because my food credit was 600 vs 300 at aria. 300 at aria is not going to go far. NYNY has all new beds, got rid of carpet in rooms. They didn’t do much to bathrooms but they serve the purpose.

    I used to vacay in LV 2x a year for 10 years till I quit. It's an all day ordeal getting there from the east coast. Drive to the airport find a place in long term parking get the shuttle to the terminal, check your bag at curbside then a long trek to TSA and go thru that then another trek to your gate an hour before your flight before you finally board the plane, It's a 5hr flight then you deplane and another long trek to get your bag and shuttle to the rental car place find your car and drive to your hotel and wait in another line to check in before you finally collapse in your room. Then you have to do it in reverse all over again going home plus losing 3 hours with the time zones. I can drive to Atlantic City door to door in 3hrs flat in my own comfort. AC ain't LV but it'll do.

    I stayed at circus circus, because price and convention distance, and someone told me people hate on it because it's old, but it's not that bad. I can handle cosmetics, but it was old infrastructure, like a lack of ability to bedside charge a phone because it was made before cell phones, but yet the landlines can't do outgoing calls either, I had no hot water and later no water at all, due to a plumbing issue. but hey it wasn't that bad...Okay well I did have my phone legit stolen there....and yeah a lil creepy.
    I'd stay there again if the convention were close again, but it would be easier to convince me to stay at resorts world now (with roommates to split costs, still more expensive, but that's why I was less convinced before my circus circus stay)

    Love your content. I am a Diamond and black card players card holder and visit casinos every week and vegas a few times a year. Your video gives hope to your viewers that they can win over the long term or there is skill in blackjack. There is not. At least not with the 8 decks constantly being shuffled in their automated machines. You can't beat those machines and to think you can somehow "outskill" a machine is disingenuous. Poor video my friend. Stick to the poker rooms where skill can actually be used.

    • @TheCreditShifu
      @TheCreditShifu  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t think you understood the video. The point was that with perfect basic strategy you can reduce the house edge over you to about half a percent. You will still lose slightly over the long term but it is highly likely the comps will make up for that. If you want to truly win at blackjack you need to count cards, and yeah, you can’t do that with a machine, ideally its a two deck game out of a shoe.

    • @AryaRealty
      @AryaRealty ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCreditShifu you can't reduce your house edge against a machine. I won't give you a dislike because you're a solid dude but just letting your viewers know.

    • @cykilledkenny
      @cykilledkenny ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Strongly disagree. That is not what I got from this video, at all. This video informed me that, if played perfectly and playing long term, I can probably get up to 99% of my money back (just statistically speaking, just numbers and no feelings involved), NOT winning over the casino but having the possibility of breaking even over time. But also understanding that I can't play perfectly all the time so I know that even though that number is achievable, it is likely not probable for the average viewer like me. BUT also now knowing after this video that the value from the comps received would likely make up for that loss, and probably then some.

    • @AryaRealty
      @AryaRealty ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cykilledkenny And that's how they get you, and how they have massive buildings. Because of that thinking you have.

    • @cykilledkenny
      @cykilledkenny ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AryaRealty Does the math add up or does it not? My point still stands, I strongly disagree with what you think this video's message was. At no point did he say "and this is how you win against the house" we all know house always wins. But if i'm going to play anyway, at least I know there are options with comps.
