If there's one tool that REALLY benefits from being Cordless, it's gotta be a Hedge Trimmer?. No cutting of cables & so quick & easy to just walk out & trim the hedge with no fuss. As you say, they are definitely quieter and lighter too. I bought the Aldi/Ferrex equivalent with similar spec to the Bosch. It is absolutely brilliant. Yes it's just slightly slower to cut than a bigger corded one but but it's plenty fast enough. I was surprised how much cutting it does on one charge...I'm guessing maybe several average hedge cuts one one charge? For the price it was a steal, on special for €25 Euro (bare tool). Enjoyed the video again. Thank you.

I agree Brian. I prefer using a cordless hedge cutter. It does the job for me just fine and on a single charge too. If I hadn't bought this one I would have probably bought the Aldi one that you mentioned. Cheers!

I bought two years ago Worx WG259E Hedge Trimmer mostly use on allotment hedge as its Rose rugosa Japanese rose to keep riff raff out. Its quite thick stems and I have more than enough 2aH battery to cut around 50 foot hedge. Most of my tools are now cordless and most are Worx brand. At the time when I got this didnt have many worx tools. The strimmer is so light I honestly thought it might not cope with this hedge how wrong was I.

Yea Chris I thought the same with this one I didn't think it would cope but surprisingly it copes just fine. I don't think I could go back to a corded one now. These are too useful.

Any idea if it's available in the US? I can't find it anywhere online.

No. Bosch don't sell hedge trimmers in the USA. For something similar to the Bosch try retailers Home Depot, Lowes or Amazon for brands like Black & Decker or Ryobi etc

Hi there how do you sharpen these blades?

I am not sure but I think they have a kind of self sharpening technology. I haven't owned it long enough yet to need to sharpen the blades.
