    Messaging you from Australia. One of the best reviews on garden equipment I've seen. I am looking to buy one of these, and you explained everything with great clarity and enthusiasm. And it was equally excellent to see you in action with it. Look forward to seeing more of your presentations.

      Thanks so much for taking the time to send my your kind comments. Although not sponsored by Bosch, I have several videos on the Bosch electric line because I use them personally and can speak honestly on their strengths & weaknesses. I'm glad this one was helpful to you 😊

    Nice video. One thing worthy of note on these budget model hedge trimmers is the hand power switch. Sometimes after a session of trimming, they lock up and won't operate properly. If you leave it a day or so, it just starts operating normally again. This is common on a lot of budget power tools, much be reflected in the pricing. Overall, it is a good trimmer. I have model AHS 52 li and this happens from time to time.

      @@NowGardening It was very helpful, thank you. I ordered one & it will arrive on Saturday. The griselinia hedge between our house & our neighbour has gone too thick at almost 3 metres. I would love to halve it but am not that courageous. After seeing a fungal infection on my brother-in-laws griselinia hedge, which had to be completely removed, I should be grateful for my 3 metre thick hedge I suppose.

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, hedge trimming can be quite tricky. Our neighbor did some pruning on his side of the fence to cypress hedges growing from our side. A couple died afterwards. Not his fault, just certain species are less resilient. Using an anti-fungal/anti-viral spray on your trimming tools might be a good idea if you think there's a risk for a fungal infection in your area. I've never used it on my trimmer, but I do for pruners in the vegetable garden. Bosch also sells an spray lubricant that keep the blades moving smoothly on the trimmer over time. Good luck with your upcoming project!@@cpppq

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Asheesh. There are no attachments to allow for tall hedges. Bosch does make a product called a Pole Hedge Trimmer for this specific need, but I have not tried it myself.

    1 year later and it's £138. Quite a jump, probably because it's July and Amazon are like that. Might wait until the off season to get it cheaper as with so many other garden tools

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. I hope it goes down for you. I wonder if inflation might be affecting it. I wanted to buy a duplicate of a raised garden bed that I purchased last year, and the price had gone up 40%!

    • @ArcanePath360
      @ArcanePath360 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NowGardening I will keep an eye on it and see what happens. I've had a shed in my basket for about 2 years and the price went erratically from £410 to £1,300 and back again before settling around £700 in all that time. It can jump several hundred in one day and then say "unavailable" for many weeks/months. I think they charge whatever they think people will pay.

      Now Gardening , Great attitude... I was thinking about buying this Bosch tool but for some reason Bosch Hedge trimmers are not available in the US. Only in EU these are available. It is strange. Are they afraid of lawsuits or something?

    • @NowGardening
      @NowGardening  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ozusozudogruinsan Without knowing for sure, I would guess it has more to do with market saturation in the US. As you probably know, Bosch is a German brand so they have a massive footprint in Europe whereas other companies have that spot in the U.S. My step-mom (who lives in the US) loves her Black & Decker battery-operated garden tools.

    • @ozusozudogruinsan
      @ozusozudogruinsan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now Gardening , Bosch sells all kinds of appliances, power tools, auto parts etc. in the USA. They compete even in the saturated markets in the U.S. in other product lines. So, this makes absolutely no sense to me why they opted out of selling the hedge trimmers. Some people may like black and decker but I truly hate their products. I'll probably get something else at this point ...
