  • I was lucky enough to be given this rare Atlas 10" band saw from the 1950s. In this video I'll give it a complete going over, clean up, and maintenance tune-up to get it running once again. This saw has sat unused for years, long enough that it was surely destined to be scrapped. With the guidance of my little helper, I was able to get this saw purring like a kitten again, ready to be used for decades to come. Remember to hit that thumbs, notification bell, comment and share...it all helps me keep making these videos! Thank you for watching!

I have the same one. I bought it off an old timer right before he passed...same with my old wood lathe. I like having older tools in my shop. By continuing to use them I feel like it's honoring the guys I acquired them from. I'd like to think that somewhere those old grumps are watching me and saying, "Well, what in the hell is going on here?" My granddad used to sneak in the shop and bark that at me. I'd get mad at him, but I'd be happy to hear that old man bellow at me again.

I found this band saw on a curb in trash. Had it my shed for since 1996. Had time to bring to my shop and boy its brand new almost no saw dust and the tires are in great shape. Shocking how new it looks. It also does not have the two extra holes your top cover has. Well I am so exited to put a motor and v belt to get it going. You have a very intelligent daughter she knew how to get the wheel off !!!!!

I just started a restoration of my father's 9360, it is a little rusty on the covers so more work to restore. It is missing the lower blade guide and shaft so will have to fabricate that part. I have tires, blades and cool blocks on order. I found the instruction and parts list online, but no parts are available. Nice little saw, thanks for sharing this video.

Kyle there is a blind repair/building shop near my house and the owner has the 14" version of this saw. He has been using it in his shop for 20+ years not on bit of trouble. You have yourself a great tight radius machine there enjoy!!! Well done.

What a wonderful little band saw Kyle. I really like the old motor shape and sound.......awesome and rewarding project for you! I'm going to send you a couple email photos of my "old iron" Chevy from the 40's that I mentioned in one of your previous videos. Best to you and your family for 2018.
