I wear a LP ring every day to remind me of Chester's Death. LP got me through so much as a teenager. His death is probably the only celeb death that hit me.
Breath It Out? He gave his all. We, as fans tasted his blood in that song. Lucky are we. I was born '90. Watched my father yell at my sister (4 years older) during trl 2000. Or 2001? Hybrid theory album. It had crystals and Chester screaming.
There was a time this band was everything to me. Their "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" albums got me through hard times in my teenange years. Later I lost track a bit because the more electronic stuff they made wasn't really my taste but when Chester suddenly committed scuicide it was like a punch in the face. No other celebrity death came even close in what an impact that had on me. Back in my teens songs like In the End or Numb gave me goosebumps but today I struggle not to burst into tears.
I enthusiastically recommend One More Light by Linkin Park... especially if you want your heart straight up ripped out. Also their live cover of Adele's Rolling in the Deep is legendary.
This song hits home on so many levels - the meaning of the lyrics, the power with which they are delivered, and the amazing music accompanying them just combine for an absolutely perfect song - thank you so much for this reaction!! This literally has me bawling . Their music got me thru so many dark times but this song was truly my anthem for awhile RIP Chester I had no idea he really was feeling the same way I was .
LP is one of the bands I discovered in high school and still listen to 12 years later. They're unique blend of rap and rock combined with Chester's incredible vocal talents caught my attention. It's so sad that Chester ended up taking his own life after such a huge career. RIP Chester, hopefully you've found peace on the other side.
As an old rocker, who grew up in the '60s & '70s, I learned of Linkin Park from hearing it blasted at 11 from my son playing it in the basement back in the '00s.
Chester Bennington was mourned around the world by artists of all genres of music. He will forever be missed. One of his greatest achievements at least to me was his ability to connect with his listeners on a personal level.

I think I will always consider my biggest regret in life as never seeing Chester Bennington live. I saw Mike Shinoda on his Post Traumatic tour after Chester had passed, and that was amazing, but never getting to see Chester will probably stay with me the rest of my life.
When I first heard about Chester passing away a few years ago, it hit hard. I’ve been listening to them since their first album, such a big part of my younger music years
When I heard the news about Chester I was in shock, I was confused but when the reality sank in I was sick to my stomach. I literally ran to the bathroom to throw up and cry, I was so shaken by his passing that I fell into a depression. Linkin Park got me through my toughest times but I can't not hear Chester asking for help in every song. 💔🥀
Got through the cold open and immediately liked this video. I grew up with this band and it was such exciting to see you do this. It took me years to be able to listen to LP after Chester's death.
Great video and great song too, love a bit of LP. I'd recommend Given Up and Numb, though you'll struggle to go wrong with any of them really. The 'One More Light' version of Crawling will rip your heart out and screw it into a little ball if you want to torture yourself for our amusement, it was one of Chester's last performances and, it feels like it.
Really miss Chester (a fellow manic depressive) he was an amazing performer and his voice was so powerful, I think his cover of Adeles "Rolling in the deep" is so emotional, on top of the world as artists yet he was still so down but hid it well until the end
I worked security at an event where they were due to play. I was the supervisor of the outer perimeter of this venue. I took my meal break when this band was playing(and left my second in charge to run this area) while I went down to the front of the house(the area between the stage and the crowd) to watch them. I even helped out as needed to remove crowd surfers when needed. So loved this band's great talent. My aunty was an opera singer. I could play any song in front of her(from my timeframe, from ABBA, to The Sweet, to David Bowie, to Queen) and she was fascinated by them and their vocal production(Ashamed she passed away before these bands, came to be). It was my birthday, and she came to watch me play in this band. She knew I had a love for the 4 non blondes' song, What's up, and she stepped up on stage and nailed it. God I miss my auntie so much

I HIGHLY recommend watching the Chester Bennington Memorial concert (here on youtube). It features a lot of similar artists spreading awareness, support, and love. If you don't have the time, I recommend listening to Numb beforehand so you know what its meant to be, and then giving the memorial version a listen. Chester sings like an angel screams like a demon. He is missed so much and you going to notice his inner demons when hearing a lot of the songs they don't like in Given up and Lost and many more.
Some of their best songs aren't the ones that ended up on the radio or a movie soundtrack. I recommend: Waiting For The End, Given Up, The Messenger, From The Inside, just to name a few.
You could go down a rabbit hole with these guys, and it would be worth it. Some later work that is so good: Waiting For the End Roads Less Traveled Skin to Bone
As a fan of ‘rock and roll’ since it was first invented, I am fascinated by how it has spawned so many grandchildren and has affected and been affected by so many other genres. In this video we see the delicious blend of rap and metal (and other influences) leading to something that is both and neither and something else all at once. I am happy that my early musical education was so varied, and I can continue to appreciate the new as well as the old and everything in between, unlike other old coots who think ‘if it ain’t Fifties (or Sixties, or …) it ain’t music’. 🐋 This song came out just after I graduated High School and starting my college. I related to this song and many others on the Hybrid Theory album, was in a deep dark place at the time. I was able to pull through a deep, severe depression and I ENCOURAGE anyone who may even think they are depressed or suicidal, to reach out to the Suicide hotline ❤ Life is so beautiful once you get the dark clouds away.
You should check out Collision Course. LP teamed up with Jay-Z on some collab songs. It mixed Jay's songs with LP's songs. "Numb/Encore" and "Points of Authority/99 Porblems/One Step Closer" are my 2 favorites.
Hybrid Theory was the first album i ever bought with my own money, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Korn, and Disturbed were the foundation of my musical tastes when I was in high school.
Linkin Park (and Rammstein) were my Gateway Bands to rock and metal, so I was _very_ excited when I saw this in my feed! It’s not my favourite song of theirs now, but it used to be. Given how wildly popular LP are, you’ve probably actually heard a _lot_ of their songs before (especially if your brother was/is a fan of theirs). I have a lot of LP songs on my recommendation list for follow-up reactions, but I’ll stick to just a few for now: • *“Burn It Down”* from _Living Things_ is my current favourite song. • There’s a beautiful and emotional acoustic version of their famous song *“Crawling”* that they performed live where Chester is up front on the stage reaching out for their fans and letting them lay their hands on him (and I think he goes between reciprocating with those in closest proximity briefly for each person as he sings). The sense of connection between him and those fans is _real_ and touching and heartbreaking now that he’s no longer with us. I recommend listening to the original “Crawling” first, then watching that performance so you get a sense of the differences between the studio and acoustic versions. *Warning: will hit you right in The Feels.* • *”New Divide”* live from Red Square in Moscow • A hidden gem of a B-side of theirs called *”My December”.* Make sure it’s _not_ the version from _Reanimated,_ because the original is _so_ much better. • *”Iridescent”* is my favourite song from _A Thousand Suns_ (an album with nuclear weapons and warfare as a subtle theme throughout). • While they almost never do cover songs, they performed *”Rolling in the Deep”* by Adele at a concert in London once, and Chester’s vocals _really_ shone in it. RIP Chester; all of your fans miss you _so_ much.
This is one of their most popular songs if not their most popular song. It is really amazing but LP has a lot of other songs that are not as popular but just as good at least in my opinion like The little things give you away, The Messenger, Pushing me away(the reanimated version).
Linkin Park did that glitch more if you watched the Transformers SoundTrack from the 3rd movie, the New Divide music video had a lot more visual glitch on it. It had a lot pixelizations and fractalization visual effects too. The New Divide music video should had won a lot of awards for its special fx.

Do Given Up - Linking Park…I think the end will surprise you
Linkin Park (and Rammstein) were my Gateway Bands to rock and metal, so I was _very_ excited when I saw this in my feed! It’s not my favourite song of theirs now, but it used to be. Given how wildly popular LP are, you’ve probably actually heard a _lot_ of their songs before (especially if your brother was/is a fan of theirs).
I have a lot of LP songs on my recommendation list for follow-up reactions, but I’ll stick to just a few for now:
• *“Burn It Down”* from _Living Things_ is my current favourite song.
• There’s a beautiful and emotional acoustic version of their famous song *“Crawling”* that they performed live where Chester is up front on the stage reaching out for their fans and letting them lay their hands on him (and I think he goes between reciprocating with those in closest proximity briefly for each person as he sings). The sense of connection between him and those fans is _real_ and touching and heartbreaking now that he’s no longer with us. I recommend listening to the original “Crawling” first, then watching that performance so you get a sense of the differences between the studio and acoustic versions. *Warning: will hit you right in The Feels.*
• *”New Divide”* live from Red Square in Moscow
• A hidden gem of a B-side of theirs called *”My December”.* Make sure it’s _not_ the version from _Reanimated,_ because the original is _so_ much better.
• *”Iridescent”* is my favourite song from _A Thousand Suns_ (an album with nuclear weapons and warfare as a subtle theme throughout).
• While they almost never do cover songs, they performed *”Rolling in the Deep”* by Adele at a concert in London once, and Chester’s vocals _really_ shone in it.
RIP Chester; all of your fans miss you _so_ much.

This is one of their most popular songs if not their most popular song. It is really amazing but LP has a lot of other songs that are not as popular but just as good at least in my opinion like The little things give you away, The Messenger, Pushing me away(the reanimated version).
How about Pretenders “I’ll stand by you” sometime. She has a very interesting style.

Linkin Park did that glitch more if you watched the Transformers SoundTrack from the 3rd movie, the New Divide music video had a lot more visual glitch on it. It had a lot pixelizations and fractalization visual effects too. The New Divide music video should had won a lot of awards for its special fx.
