Love this breakdown. I have been trying to find something for my teenage son who now has a longer type haircut and needs to style his hair to keep the longer bits out of his eyes.
I went to a barber I hadn’t been to before and she put a powder in my hair. I’ve been growing it out and embracing the curls and waves, and I loved the matte look and hold of the powder. The problem was trying to wash the darn stuff out that night. Three shampoos later and my hair still felt slightly sticky. I think I’ll stick to my water based pomades and spray clay thanks 😅
Hi! I’ve been using powders for my hair for a while and I had the same problem at the start. The rule of thumb I’ve found with powder is less is more. Depending on which brand you use, if it has a strong hold once you work it in try to just sprinkle a small amount and use a brush to form it and then maybe use a little hairspray. Your hair may be different and your brand may be as well so this is just a suggestion!

The hair on my head started falling out big time after an extremely stressful period I went through. So, I myself researched the net and decided to test a hair oil called litttleextra coocoonion & a comb made of neem wood. The results really made a difference. At present, my hair is lengthy, thick, dark hair that has reached my waist and trimmed three times after I started. Simple and good. Also, equally good is massaging the scalp - it promotes the growth. You just must do this weekly. Before long, you'll see short hairs growing in.
I've tried Lsb powder and I liked it. I would like to try a curly low fade, would clay be my best option for styling or perhaps sea salt spray? I have mild curls
I used the Moroccanoil clay for a few weeks and I had problems washing the build up out then my hair started falling out. This was the only product I switched from my routine. I figured the problem was the clay. Taking a closer look with a microscope with my barber the residue was off the charts. Today I buzzed all my hair to start fresh with a nioxin microdermabrasion. Hi Robin! I have to say, I absolutely love your videos. Just ordered myself some of the Slick Gorilla Powder after watching your review. Also I have to say, I see a strong likeliness to Mick Jagger in you. Awesome stuff mate!
I need help. I have medium /short hair and I never really use any products. I leave my hair as it is and wet it a bit. I got out in public and my hair gets puffy and kind of hard. I want a product that makes my hair soft and that holds my hair with a look of it being loose
Robin i cant stand my hair after i wash and condition it. Its really soft but the its really "poofy" and just sits awkwardly on my head if you know what i mean. But after a few days of not washing, it becomes more matted but not in a greasy way and looks alot better and i can style it better w/o any products, do you have any recommendations on what to use to make my hair look like it hasnt been washed in a few days even tho its just been washed?
Im looking for a product that's stong hold but want to be able to run my hands through it and it not feeling rock hard. Any ideas as I have bought to many products and they all seem to make my hair rock hard and feel damaged
I used a product called Davines Define Wonder Wax that has been discontinued. It provided great texture and hold but looked natural as if there were no product in my hair. Do you know of anything that is similar?
Great video man! What is the best kind of styling product for someone with thin hair? I had a hair transplant 5 years ago and have quite thin hair, I hate using the v05 Matt clay kind of stuff because it pulls on my hair when I’m putting it in. Thanks in advance for any tips you can give!
I have very fine hair and very straight hair. The upside is there is no history of hair loss in my family. But what should I use! I call it my cotton candy hair. Very light and fluffy. I style it and a little breeze and it has changed. Anything wet or oily makes it collapse. Help!
I have curls and waves in my hair and I'm looking for a product that would let me keep those, but give hold and a matte finish for a natural look and not weigh it down. Is there any recommendations?
I can't keep my hair the way it's when I comb it and go out idk which product to use certainly not gel cause it's so harmful for hair any other suggestions?
My boyfriend has similar hair to you (but a tad longer). His hair is pretty thin, especially in the front, and his hairline is pretty far back. Loving the look! And that jacket! Amazing!!
Super helpful video! I need advice.. which kind of product do you recommend for medium length hair? (Think Bradley Cooper or Chris Evans when he had longish hair) pomade, paste, clay? Thanks!
Hi Robin! I have to say, I absolutely love your videos. Just ordered myself some of the Slick Gorilla Powder after watching your review. Also I have to say, I see a strong likeliness to Mick Jagger in you. Awesome stuff mate!
Can you do some beard product reviews!!!
I need help. I have medium /short hair and I never really use any products. I leave my hair as it is and wet it a bit. I got out in public and my hair gets puffy and kind of hard. I want a product that makes my hair soft and that holds my hair with a look of it being loose
Can you do a video on “Putty’s” Robin? That would be awesome! Appreciate the content you upload !
Thank you for these great videos packed with helpful information.
You always look super sharp man, my compliments to you.
Greetings from Holland
Thank you very much
Hi Robin, is there a different between cream pomade and the normal one I mean it will give me the same hold and shine?
It’s just another marketing name for a type of water based pomade. The “cream” part usually refers to its consistency.
Could you make a video on assembling small freshen up kit for work? What should be included etc. =)
Currently getting hair cut and styled similar to Chris hemsworths current style and wondering which product would be best to achieve his current look?
This video is really helpful. Gotta ask man, where is that jacket from its beautiful!
My boyfriend has similar hair to you (but a tad longer). His hair is pretty thin, especially in the front, and his hairline is pretty far back. He’s looking for something that will keep his hair out of his eyes but isn’t too strong. He can’t decide what makes the most sense for him. What do you think?
Sir, I'm freakin jealous of your full head of hair.
