For the Acasis hub. I own one for my steam deck. You will get your full speed when having external power plugged into the PD port. It is meant to be used as a dock, not a hub. Normal hubs can get sufficient power from their host PC. Docks usually need more power because they are capable of charging and powering accessories.

I'm a PLC programmer. I spend a lot of time sitting on a bucket in a production facility with my laptop on my lap making changes to some code. I have a USB C monitor that I bring with me regularly so I can have the logic on one screen with the HMI (screen that controls the machine) on another. I wouldn't mind a 3rd screen as I sometimes need multiple HMIs open. I'm probably a good use-case for the FPOP setup
But my monitor was $130. I could get a 2nd one and 3d print some kind of clip system for both and be at 1/3 the cost.

13:40 it's more than just a USB hub though, it's so you can get your laptop the necesity for work when you get back to to your desk. like a Hub, ethernet, mouse, keyboard, (or a single Logitech unify receiver for both) and external storage in one. Makes sense to me.

docks are for that. you just plug the laptop into the dock and don't worry about cables and stuff. or even better, have a desktop pc at home and sync your documents via the cloud automatically and just put the laptop into the closet when you get home. I guess you can call it " a poor man's dock". Maybe it is ok for the Steam deck or something like that that has no proper dock... but surely not practical for "work".

I think the triple-monitor can be very useful for certain people. Like if you travel and then work from a hotel - you just quickly lay the setup down and work from there for a couple of weeks. The extra displays are very handy in certain lines of work, like finance where you display a lot of things at once. It'd be a much better product if these were just portable monitors though.

Yeah, for half that price you can buy 2 monitors that can be used both normally and as portable, for example ViewSonic VG1655 is $150-$200 per one. It can also be used vertically, because it is not stuck to laptop like those.
So yeah, if they were cheaper, they could be great product, but for price like that, you can buy 2 portable monitors from actual reputable brands and still have some money left.

My cat has 4.2K subs, am i soon to be inundated with emails begging her to try out the latest feline footwear?
The latest laxatives? Electric cat foot bunion removers? Smart cardboard scratching posts? Bluetooth enabled water dishes with Alexa capability?
Litter boxes with 7.1 Dolby surround?
Because i already blew the dinky 15" sub thats in my current litterbox.
See, the new sonic cleaning technology of having a massive subwoofer in your cars litterbox uses ultrasonic forces to break the poop into microscopic particles, which become airborne (when i listen to Snoop Dogg) due to the speaker cone facing upwards. The poo particles are then safely inhaled by member(s) of the household, so you'll never again be forced to use a plastic shovel to scoop poo into a plastic bag as your cat laughs at you.
This patented Air-Dispersal technology converts annoying cat crap into tiny aerosols, which are harmlessly inhaled, and naturally filtered by the body's own lungs. This process results in zero waste, zero effort, and you'll never notice the tiny crap particles in your lungs*
*until they cause an infection or emphysema, which will take literal years to happen, upon which time your warranty will be expired.

I love the 3-screen idea as a programmer. I have 4 screens on my desktop, and when I go on vacation I plan to extend my vacation by working a few days from the apartment we're going to rent, and having 3-screens is a life saver, because I haven't ever coded on less than 3 screens for years now. Code on the middle, browser testing on the right, database or anything else on the left. Means I can bring my laptop for just personal stuff and netflix and when I decide to work remotely I just plug the screens in.
But I agree that it's a gimmick, or a very niche use case, because most people don't need it. And it takes quite a lot of room to take with you on a plane, so it might be annoying to take on a remote job where you have to fly too.

I may have one of the few legit use cases for the FOPO. I use some other random Chinese brand but same concept. I live in a campervan full time. It sucks doing stuff on a single small laptop screen, but there isn't enough space in the van to mount actual monitors without them getting in the way, sucking a ton of power, and bouncing around while going down the road. Now I can just plop these on and multitask without taking up much space. Also when gaming on the main screen I like having a twitch stream or youtube video or google page up on the side screen in peripheral.

Also wireless charging + reverse wireless charging is way more handy than you'd think.
