It's because the area of wood is so small the chain can form a "circle" that small. You have to spread yours arms so the ropes spread apart as far as you can or have someone else be a few feet away and pull one rope and you the other
Try cutting half way through from one side then move to the other side. You cut from one position beneath the tree, and perhaps that is part of the issue you have with the rope saw getting stuck.
Love your videos been watching you sense you did oragomie been loving your videos and your content keep up the good work and keep making me smile every day keep up the good work
I think I'll buy one since they are inexpensive. Looks like a second rope on end of the limb tied off is what's needed to make the cutting gap get continuously wider and wider as you cut. The limb laying on the ground pinched because it was being cut from under side instead of overhead and the gap was closing in on the saw instead of opening.
Taras, the issue with this kind of saw (the kinds of chainsaw you pull like that) is that they work with a larger diameter branch or log, but when it gets too thin -- less diameter -- it stops working so well, and gets stuck.
You firstly need to make undercuts both sides and also alternate sides while you're cutting. Also keep both rope ends in alignment, you're way out at 3:35
Dude, I really love your videos, but please, sometimes you need an extra microphone. They aren't so expensive now and some mobile phones csn record with them or use a dedicated recorder. The rest is awesome. Keep up the great work in all your channels!
That's actually pretty cool. Even though it got stuck, it still worked ok. I'm sure you could modify the one that worked with longer ropes and it would work way better
The Angle has to be bigger at the end, the chain should at least be 90° cause you gotta understand that you aren't pulling the chain around the wood but into it when pulling in a straight line.
The bottom cut is pinching. Gravity and direction of cut. You might consider cutting standing just off to one side at first and then switching sides and then finishing off by standing further away.
I used one of these and had the same complaint. I threw another rope on the end or the branch and broke off. That's the only way I could get it to work

Excellent point
Good point!!(

What is the brand of the small rope saw?
I think I'll buy one since they are inexpensive. Looks like a second rope on end of the limb tied off is what's needed to make the cutting gap get continuously wider and wider as you cut. YES they get stuck when the limb diameter get's around 4"
Today I am going to heavily oil the blade on mine and try it again on a larger limb
good thing you showed this, hope the company takes your suggestion for the next version of this

Is that why it gives you a workout trying to cut down a tree?
15000 people watching a man doing chores basically
Where did you buy your gloves?
What is the name of the second one that worked???
Ok. What brand was the good one?
Works better if you have a helper, both standing far away form each other, helps prevent getting stuck.
Which is the one that didn't get stuck mate?
You firstly need to make undercuts both sides and also alternate sides while you're cutting. Also keep both rope ends in alignment, you're way out at 3:35
Just wondering if there's any tricks to keep the blade from getting stuck?
Add oil like you do on a chainsaw n it should work fine
Was the chain backwards in the first branch?
Tara's is the only you tuber who didn't change after fame 😂

Which is better this or the tree extension blade wlwhicjnone is better I have a hight tree
what prevents it from flopping over in its side instead of cutting on one of the edges ?
There is a weighted flap on one end of chain that automatically rights itself, according to instructions on box at Home Depot

Wow that is really cool it looks like you're doing it for a while though
Chain lube will certainly help prevent getting stuck while cutting - 2 people even better!
The Angle has to be bigger at the end, the chain should at least be 90° cause you gotta understand that you aren't pulling the chain around the wood but into it when pulling in a straight line.
you can cut fallen ones. you'll have to move the chain before halfway. my dad had to do the same but he used a saw

it would have worked better with two persons (one on each side of the branch)
Very beautiful property, it must be nice to have more privacy like that.

Boom 💥
Got to keep the 2 ropes spread out so it doesn't get bind under the limb when it starts sagging down
My rope chain worked pretty good. Would be better if I could undercut to prevent tearing. Rock on
I wonder if Taras just says blyat and walks away
How big is his home?!
I used one of these and had the same complaint. I threw another rope on the end or the branch and broke off. That's the only way I could get it to work
So I can fit this in my gajik pocket?

I bet if you were determined enough, you could manage to attach the good chainsaw blades from the other saws onto the long rope
