As an Australian, mate I salute you, that is the sort of ingenious things we usually come up with 🤠
I'm surprised the sinker was heavy enough. Great ingenuity. Thx.
I love the saying at the end of the video, no casualties. 😀😀
I love the fishing pole technique.genius😂😂😂
We had no choice but to start cutting down a 60ft dead tree in the garden, no professional tree feller wanted to take it on, so got a throw saw, tried tossing it with the supplied weight, useless, so I got the bow and arrow out, so far happy with the results...using the bow and arrow to fire a lightweight string over a branch
Love the fishing pole too . Great job. Thank you.
I seldom subscribe to a channel after watching just one video from a provider. Your easy delivery and simple DIY vision made me make an exception tonight.
Thank you.

I’ve used cotton string, like kitchen string, tied to the end of an adjustable wrench. Swing it around a few times and then let it fly! 5:24
Like the fishing pole thing
this is the kind of guy who makes a great teacher.
yea ... that's ignorant
I have the same situation going on I think i am going to attempt this thanks for sharing
Well done! Glad no one got hurt...
Yes! I thought of this the other day! I can’t believe it’s real and works!
I have some much lower neighbors branches invading my yard and I'd like to cut the branches down. I'd need a 22' ladder 🪜 minimum unless I can use this method, branches may be 25' high or more, Tampa
Id hafta put ad out for a baseball pitcher to help😄
I attached rope to chain with keyrings
This is going to be very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
the thing that worries me on these "double-sided" blades is maintaining it. only takes a moment for the blade to become dull if it runs into the wrong thing and doesn't seem it'd fit into my Oregon sharpener as a traditional blade would. how are u putting a new edge on this when needed?
How did you reverse the teeth on the saw chain?
Excellent question!
You have to take the chain apart and reassemble it to do something like that. There is a bench top tool that can be bought, or you can do it with a punch and a hammer. It'll be a tedious process either way.
You don't have to. My rope chain saw has cutting teeth on both sides.
So proud of your accomplishment.....Wimmer industries
Only thing it's missing is explosives
@@ScottWimmer and bigfoot or feet
Fantastic you guys!
(My sling shot
ok too...)
This is amazing! How to use a chain saw without cutting one's head off?! Thankyou thankyou👍🏻😁🍀
Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for!
Ditto.
Tool store has rope saw for $59.00
- so i made my own. 2 100ft polypropylene ropes for 10.00. Aquired chain from a friend😎
I needed to visualize it. Either call a tree company and pay 2k, or drop the large limbs on 3 trees so they lean towards the woods and drop them myself....*grunts :)
That's some great casting action right there! I ended up tying a rock to fishing line and tossing it.The rope saw took some work on the bigger limbs ( upped a video)
Good show brother . I had thought what if you were to use a nut with the fishing string and shoot it with a slingshot . Not sure it could over shoot just a thought . Thanks for the video
I'am Your Newest Subscriber Great Videos
Very impressive! I subscribed.
Don't hold out for my tennis instructional videos...
@@ScottWimmer Oh, I'll hold it out for any one i want!
How do you know if its a red oak, my friend? Wait until it dries and see the cut turn red or will it be red right from the fresh cut?
5:17 Wouldn't that be "Limberrrr!"? This is a great idea though, a length of Paracord might save a step in the future. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome!
I'm interested to know how you reversed some of the teeth on the saw blade.
Great Video Thank You !
Love the equality!
thank you
What diameter did the branch turn out to be? and how many minutes for two to saw thru?
This is awesome.
no,. your awesome!!
Holy bark tear lol.
what prevents it from flopping over in its side instead of cutting on one of the edges ?
The chain itself can't bend in its side. It can only bend vertically.
@@turbostyler do they make chain that dont have a "cut" and "can't cut" side?
@@do7hemath937 Yes they do, most decent ones have cutting teeth on both sides of the chain. Be warned, these rope chainsaws are great but sometimes they get pinched by the branch you're cutting and can be a royal pain to get out of the tree. Best to have two people as far apart as possible.
@@turbostyler thanks, will do.
@@turbostylerAbsolutely. Mine pinch every time I use it and it rattles me cause there's no way to get up there. Using two people 20 or so feet apart seems to be a great idea. Someone suggested tying a ring on to a tree 20 feet away and putting your rope through. That is brilliant.
I have found that if I don't pull on the rope too tight, that seems to work. It could be that the teeth dig in too deep when you pull tight and it locks in. Just be patient and gently pull it back and forth. It may take a while longer but it will eventually get the job done. Just dont be in a hurry. That worked well for me tonight after I jammed one 3 or 4 times.
I have thought this method some time before and just flash his in mind, so i check out this from youtube.
no
Very interesting, although a lot of work. In time, don't you think the rest of the tree will have to be cut down?
Is that Biden there behind the brown mask on the subscribers picture(barry Biden)
@@ocnightflyer1359 Nope...I am a Trumper! :)
Yeah insider knowledge the tree was struck by lightning therefore it had started its final decline. Just wanted to clean up the crap before we spent money to get the rest taken out.🤙
This is what I did today but just wondering if anyone knew any tricks to keep the blade from binding?
To keep the blade from "Binding" as the branch starts to sag... the two pullers must be as far apart as possible, this "wider angle" is also much safer too.
@@BobHerres Also a good reason to have 2 rope saws. Although since 2 is one and three is done. Have 3 and no worries :)
Thank you!
Smart
"make sure you get out from under it on its way down" Well no schit! If you have to tell anyone that, then theyre not to be do anything but keeping the couch from moving
This is a lot of work...why not just attach your chainsaw to a long pole and cut?
I've used a slingshot.
Sling shot
How much per hour for you and the crew??
Well you KNOW I'm cheap - but the girl, no such thing as...
@@ScottWimmer no, I do not accept coupons!
what knot did you use to tie this to this?
That would be a BOWLINE there Sailorboy!
@@ScottWimmer OK there tough guy
A throw bag for $10 saves a whole lot of hassle
Those things are a pita.
I would fire the wardrobe production manager and consider a new catering service for the production staff, other than that i would say your right about sasquatch and to keep your distance.
what happened to the dancing videos?
I moved the dancing video over to rumble so i could be free to over monetize.

Use a drone
Damn that last branch came down super dangerously and also it left a huge bark tear on its way down... definitely not the way to take down a branch.
I seriously doubt that the DEAD tree really cares about the bark tearing.
