    WOW, you did great in the F-45 Impressive. Thank you

    That was great. I learned something new about each of those aircraft from this. Thank you.

    You've landed your helicopter with landing gear retracted ;)

      😂 that’s why it was loud. Trying to concentrate on landing procedure and narrate what you are doing, I am surprised I haven’t do it before 🤦‍♂️

      @@TheFerretsWheels May I suggest covering autorotation landings of AH-94? It works somewhat differently compared to other sims. For me it is hard to get high rotor RPM. Usually it should be at the top of "green" RPM sector or even slightly higher during sustained autorotation to have decent energy reserve, but in VTOL i can barely hold it in bottom of the green range if I autorotate from high enough to allow the engines to fully spool down.
      On the other hand, the rotor produces decent lift even at rather low RPM, so in general autorotation is not hard.
      My feeling is that rotor stall is not simulated, and in general rotor simulation is quite simplistic and should be a subject for improvement in future versions.

    I've been trying to muscle landings for ages and doing horrible, this is so much simpler and obvious I'm surprised how silly I've been haha

    Very useful, still trying to master vtol landings in the 45. In the future could we see the tongue gauge on the 94? Id love to see how you manage your throttle

    Could you cover the differences and benefits/drawbacks of the GBU-53 and AGM-114 (on the F-45)? I am having a tough time deciding between the two of them.

    • @TheFerretsWheels
      @TheFerretsWheels  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have AGM-145 then they are better than 114s and the GBU-53 aren’t as good as the 38 other than carrying more. The deciding factor for munitions is usually cost and TWR (weight). If you can load out with 145s and AIM-120Ds then that’s about as good as it gets for most situations

    Is there any faster way to land the av42 with vertical thrust angle? Like if you were in a combat medevac scenario; get in fast, land fast, and out fast? Trying to minimize the descent/final approach

    • @TheFerretsWheels
      @TheFerretsWheels  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to use high alpha to bleed your air speed, but with practice you can you fast landings. Drop collective to 0 and tilt nose up. Watch the VVI and try to keep it between 0 and -10 degrees on the pitch ladder. Once you start losing altitude it become a dance between pitch and throttle control.

      I meant something similar to these short clips. Or is it the case because of the wings, air speed has to be so slow that the stall you would have to induce would not have the rotation to bring the aircraft around 180° to point the thrust in the direction of travel?

    • @TheFerretsWheels
      @TheFerretsWheels  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do stops like that in the heli but fixed wings do not have the same manoeuvrability as the engines only tilt up and down towards the rear and not omnidirectional like a heli rotor. For a fixed wing you would bank over almost 90 degrees and pull a high G, high alpha turn and spiral around the LZ to lose airspeed
