TWR is indeed Thrust to Weight Ratio and it makes sense that if its less then 1 you cant take off as you have more weight then you do thrust to lift that weight
@@Uramanpro I wouldnt even try taking off vertically with a TWR that close to 1. The aircraft would just be too sluggish to manuever and unable to slow its decent effectively giving it a high risk of crashng. I sat here trying to take off, crashing over and over, thinking that it would be more like the AV-42C. Now I find out that all this time there has been a button that does it for me. SMH. Great work on these. Thanks!
*EVERYONE READING THIS WHO HAS TROUBLE WITH VCAP* I did some digging, and it turns out you need a TWR of at least 1.04 for it to activate. (thank me later, lol.) EDIT : I found you usually need 1.05-1.06 for it to properly takeoff, if you have issues, I can probably help, leave them in replies.
Worth noting that you can't do a fully vertical take off with a TWR of less than 1, but you can do a sorta running jump. The first F45 mission requires a vertical take off and the default loadout is too heavy to get a TWR of 1. It's tough and I can't do it every time, but you can take off from there.
Do you need to request permission for vtol takeoff for the vcap to work? Could never get that to work but had zero fucking idea about communicating with the tower about it lol
OK so I've replied to a lot of people, all having problems with vcap, you don't need to use it, just tilt your engine then use your throttle. Just like the kestrel (twin engine vtol, ie the tutorial one)
do you still have to pull the flightstick all the way back? because i tried neutral stick full throttle without vcap and the plane refused to take off (twr of about 1.15)
@@LawdBreaktwist No, did you tilt the engines? also it will take like 5 seconds to start to lift. You should see dust flying around from the engine, We could hop in a multiplayer.
@@Capedkarnage the engines were fully tilted and put it into full thrust for about 15 seconds when i was wondering why it didn't start to lift, maybe i did something else wrong, i'll try again next time i play
So fun with this in game. You can defy physics in this plane so much its crazy
There qre vtol planes in real life. Harrier jump jet and f35 b
After a year I can finally do a VTOL takeoff. Thank you lol

@QueueWithACapitalQ, The TWR doesn’t have to be more than 1.00, it has to be above 1.04 (from the wiki fandom)

Can you make a vertical landing tutorial?
If you can help me some reason when I try to enable v cap it says autopilot disengaged
I had the same problem... it's that your Weight to Thrust ratio is too high, in other words, over 1.0. If you reduce it in the jet setup it will work!
@@youjeff12 holy shit that's probably why I can't hover. Thanks dude!!!!!!
same

Same. I actually managed to take off manually once, but it took ages.
you really should make some more videos! I'd love to see them!
When I push vcap it won't turn on, what does that mean
You don't need to use it, you can tilt the engined then use your throttle to fly like in the kestrel (the twin engine vtol)
this was useful, the way i do it is really sketchy
Thanks so much!

thank you so much this is an amazing tutorial. Also your voice is really nice
Great video. Simple explanation. I must go practice now. Thank you
Thanks man, great vid!
Well your missing some important info somewhere as mine just slides the the side and crashes.. won't even lift off the ground
Your twr has to be 1.08 or above
@Creator-X3 what twr and how to do it
@@idontknow5822 twr is Thrust to Weight Ratio and you can increase it by choosing lighter/less armaments or fuel on your plane.
I cant turn on vcap it said autopilot diengagrnge
you need to go to atc on the panel and click request vto
@@DrewDrumstick I did it still says autopilot disengaged
@@jamesshevlin6143 is your TWR under 1? it needs to be over in order to take off
Whenever I try to go up i just fly backwards

for me it keeps saying autopilot disengaged and wont let me take off :/
Keep your twr (thrust to weight ratio)above 1.04
why cant i turn on vcap? when i press it it just says autopilot disengaged
Great video! Now how do I land this thing?! 😬😁
@Kamoguia yup…
Mine just tells me autopilot disingaged
You don't need to use vcap just tilt you engine then use your throttle
make sure you vcap is above 1.04 (vcap wouldn't engage anything below)
first time doing vtol in vtol vr

I just got the game but how do you rotate your thrusters?
hold throttle with ur vr joystick and then use the mini joystick on the joystick to angle it
Use your joystick while holding the throttle
thank you sir
the vcap mode dose not work for me
I don’t feel like re-writing, but I made a comment about this issue on the video, check it out if you still have the problem.
