I 100% agree with having a 3D printer for this amazing hobby. Not just that but for other uses around the house as well. Main reason why I use a 3D printer for my rc business. Awesome video!
Absolutely! You’re right!
I've just entered the world of RC after buying my first 3D printer (Bambu Lab A1 combo), don't ask me why I did it the other way around, but it just came to me looking at the various models available on cults3d, thingiverse, printables..
I'm also immersing myself in the world of Blender, Fusion 360 and 3D in general and to be honest I've never dealt with CAD before but I'm learning so much, I've already printed a lot of stuff in 1 month (PLA, PETG & some TPU stuff (like tires)).
I have so many ideas for RC projects that I keep telling myself that I'm running out of time and since I'm a bit crazy and like to perform, it already takes up a lot of my time (and money)!
But I like to see passionate people who go beyond the judgments of others to live their passion: inventing things that can be remotely controlled and I'm happy to be part of it today
Awesome! That sounds amazing.
Do it! Bambu printers are fantastic. I own 3 x1c's
Love my 3d printer. Just got a Bambu Lab A1 mini. Been printing alot of scx24 stuff. Keep up the awesome content.
Awesome. Thank you!
Loved this video thank you! I’m a retired 3D Modeling expert. 3D printing interests me. I also have a large Carrera D132 slot car layout that I enjoy. I could print lots of stuff for all my SCX24 crawlers and slot cars.
That sounds awesome!
Ive got a Creality K1 max and am also in the RC hobby with mini crawlers. I cant count the times i saved a weekend for someone in the club because they broke something and then need to wait 5 days before it comes in. I go 1 hour on the printer and.... voila! xD
Also the new creality print 5.1 or 5.2 cant remember is also very good now, i would give it a try. Its now based on Cura and the bambulab slicer. I use both creality print and for thicker nozzles i use OrcaSlicer.
Ohh that’s nice. Thank you!
I like that people offer free print files. Some day I'll get a 3d printer. I would imagine that there is a particular 3d file format like STL and I bet some 3d programs will export to a proper format. I really should research to see how that all works.
Yes that is all true!
Good video and information. I would say if you spend the $ to get a good printer right off it is even easier then you are making it out to be. At this point I wouldn't suggest starting with less than a Bambu A1 mini ($199 right now), the new generation of printers is just a huge step up. I bought a Qidi Q1 Pro when they came out and I have not touched my other 4 printers since, the speed is addictive.
Yes that is a good idea. I only got this printer because I wasn’t sure if I was going to be into it as much as I am. But I’m definitely going to invest in a decent printer in the future to make it that much easier.
One of the best investments I've made! I've got an Ender 5 pro! Not the greatest but a good starter in my opinion! Great video ❤
Agree! It’s worth it
I’ve been thinking about getting one, but I have a couple things against me. Computers do not like me. And I don’t have any patience.
So I figure I would just print three or four piles of crap then the printer would collect dust until it was well beyond obsolete.
So I’ll just spend my money buying printed stuff I can actually use…
It’s all part of the game! Sometimes you win some times you lose. Haha I get happy though when I get some good prints.
Been on the fence about getting a printer for the past couple of years. I really do need to take the plunge…thanks for the video.
Do it! You won’t regret it.
My friend that's not (yet) into RC has been telling me i need a printer. I've been thinking he might be right. You're confirming it for me.
Yes! You will NOT regret it. It comes in handy so much.
@Moneypit__RC my friend has the same printer you do. So I guess it must be good enough. Adding it to my ever growing list of wants
i would look in to OrcaSlicer as a replacement for cura.
I’ll check it out.
turn on combing in cura its a must.
I’ll check it out
Agreed!
What does it do?
Great great great great great great great stuff
@@Gibsonlife573 thanks!
Hell ya man, such a helpful vid🤟🏻
Thank you!
I am a label (sticker)printer by trade. I been really wanting to get a 3d printer..that shit blows my mind!
Nice!
Give orca slicer a try.
I’ll have too!
I have a Prusa mini that rarely gets any work. Thats going to change.
Yes!
Where'd you find the 18th scale FJ body?
It’s on cults3D. It was 10 bucks.
His friends. He wont sell them or give them away. Only a small group of people have them
@@ryanjohnson8581 that’s false. It’s a file on cults3D. Its 10 bucks for the kit to print yourself.
Do yourself a favor and get a bambu printer. They are truely set it and forget it like a George Forman grille
I have 3 x1c's and they are amazing. I upgraded from 2 ender 3's. Even bambu's basic printers the a1 and the a1 mini are 10x better than the creality machines
That sounds awesome. I’m definitely looking into getting a more advanced printer soon.
I wouldn't print a lot of stuff to end up in a bin like that. I can't think of anything I would need that I can't buy. A printer is handy if that's your thing but I in no way need one.
Everything in that bin was either used at one point or will be used again in the future.
Wow you print too much, does that printer ever stop??
No, its running all the time. Just hit a button and go.
There is no such thing as printing too much.
I see….. sugary coating things.
Not at all.
