  • Parts finally came in so we could get a little more work done on the turbo 2v project. We didn't get 100% done but we started it up and heard it run for the first time.

    Should be getting some solid times in on this rig. Nice! Gotta love the yote's. They're really the second generation of the old 427 Cammers from the late 60's and 70's that Ford put out in limited quantities... the Funny car guys loved them. Single overhead cam per side on those but... when they worked... they crucified the competition back then. Keep up the good work lads! Looks like you're having fun :-) Coolness!

    How is it connecting to the exhaust or do you have special exhaust pipes for the kit

    Bumper exit exhaust would sound sick.

      @@stevenbowen90 You can get away with that in a non-emissions state, but I would have to figure out a rear exit system with cats.

      @@stevenbowen90 Oh, it comes with a y-pipe (like the new ecoboost cars)? Would I need to splice in a hi-flow cat, or is one included?

    I’m actually saving for the heads now. Next month. I’m using the Supercharger for now, came with car and car had rod knock, so I didn’t get to drive it to see if it works. I want eventually twin turbo. I built a car starting in 93 that had 25 psi over spun turbo. Them days I was poor and no ecu but car started out turbo but 7 psi. So I made up the extra fuel. 122 ci. 586 on chassisdyno fed!

      Nice. My 4.6 with a YSI is pushing 25 psi

      Oh yeah I know. It's a buddies car and I haven't really heard much about it since the turbo install.

      If you keep it at 7psi/360 rwhp it’ll be fine on stock internals.

    Were you able to use the stock radiator hose using that oil filter adapter? I'm having issues with the radiator hose hitting the manifold.

    Can you get a video or pictures of the down pipe going to the rear exhaust pipes bro...I’m tryna do a similar build with a little extra mods

      We never installed it for him. He was talking about doing a fender dump. If he decides to run it to the tail pipes I can do a video on it.

      vortech2v see if you could talk him into letting the pipes connect to the rear cause people always go that route and I wanna be different

    I have a V/1 on my 4.6. I understand. I’m building a 5.1 stroker with 195 twisted wedge heads and cams. What do you think about inconel valves? I’m sure I miss spelled lol

      They're good. They withstand heat better than stainless. Are you running them on intake and exhaust?

    Is the down pipe what gets in the way of the tie rod on a lowered car or is it the manifold

      The down pipe it goes between the k member and the lower control arm

    How did you get rid of the vacuum lines for the egr valve

      We cut the red vacuum line and cap it under the sheathing

    I've heard that the oil filter relocation part in this kit does not fix the issues. I think I heard you mention that in the video. What did you order to resolve that issue? Do you know where I can find that part?

      We ended up using the adapter that screws onto the engine and changing the fittings to a push lock style hose and using the oil filter adapter. So all in all we just changed the lines the original kit came with.

      Unfortunately I don't have a part number. This is our buddies car and he supplied his own injectors.

      This is a true bolt on kit if you use a upr k member and a arms.

    When he got his tune did he have a stock ecu or aftermarket? i’m thinking of doing this kit soon and i’m not sure if i’ll need a new one.

    What kind of power is he expecting? It’s a stock longblock with Comp cams right? Is he on 93 or e85?

      Yes stock long block and comp 268 camshafts. On 93 octane he's expecting 400-430hp on 7-10 psi. He had a vortech v1 that made 415 on 10 psi

    Ur missing an alternator bolt

      We took a vortech supercharger off and installed a turbo kit so the missing bolt was the one that holds the vortech bracket.
