Yeah, I noticed the crutches early myself. When Malcolm said them multiple times, my response was that it displayed uncertainty or lack of confidence on that subject matter. You said he used no acronyms before 23:21 but I noticed he used "IPS". Despite me knowing what it means, I may opt to not use them at all to ensure maximum clarity in the interview that even an elementary level would understand. To his defense, he was the 1st at bat so he gets sort of a pass from me here.😁
His interview was fluent. I would hire him not just based on his tech acumen only but he kept a genuine smile throughout signaling emotional intelligence.
    37:00
I don't have many criticisms about Jermaine's interview🤔. I thought his response to his lack of knowledge to a specific technology was "very good" & I don't use that term often. Could it have been better like Mike said? Depends on who you ask...maybe...but I'd say yes because I trust Mike's expertise over many others & I believe that there is almost always room for improvement. However, they weren't enough for me to not consider #cloudhiring him. Also, the 1 thing I did notice was "the studying part". Studied knowledge is considered unreliable 2 me unless it's put into adequate practice.
His responses to other key tech knowledge was keen. Otherwise, it was a great interview. Noticed the spiffy suit. Gotta give him credit too 4 it.
    48:00
Mark was enthusiastic but I had to work to understand what he was saying. Some of his answers were as crispy as his suit🤵🏾 but I was expecting more than just some. He did fairly well & to me is #cloudhired. I think the ghost 48:18 in the background would agree.
    58:45
Had to take my laptop off my stand 4 this 1.
A couple of things: the 1st obvious 1 is the anonymous avatar 2 be fair. I'm all about being anonymous but this is like a real interview where you wouldn't go to a virtual interview with no screen; it's also not punctual. It sends a lot of questionable messages to put it nicely & we are not interviewing an avatar👤. That would make an interviewer scrutinize (the words used during) the interview even more. She 'sounds' likeable, intelligent, etc. But I am not able to 'see' that.
Also, I noticed an ellipsis💬 or what appeared to be an unfinished response to the Linux question @53:45. She had too many fillers such as "like", "um", "you know" which describes uncertainty to include clearing of throat, which is natural, but it started to become obvious that she was uncomfortable, or the questions were intimidating. In some cases, it was if she was wanting the interviewer to acknowledge what she knows instead of confirming what she knows to the interviewer. She had no question 4 the interviewer which would make me question her real interest in the company. That possibly would've made it smoother. The tech part was as Mike described. I'd be interested on if someone would ask if she would hire herself after that interview. However, the Linux part was good.
    1:08:22 - 1:10:22
Leonardo had good responses but it's too long. I like how he pivoted what he didn't know into what he did know about the difference of a feature between the cloud vendors, but I would tailor my responses where I wouldn't emphasize to the interviewer on what I DON'T know. His device should be stable & not bouncing all over the space/place. Looking up in the air too much also caught my attention but it may not be that much of a problem 4 some; it's natural but it can be more subtle.
He is personable & knowledgeable. He kept the interview going. A plus is when he asked the interviewer was his answer acceptable & if he would like to expound on the topic. He is hireable. It was close. I almost wanted 2 say #cloudhired. But I'd interview more candidates & then go from there in about several months or so. This way we'll see his commitment among other things.
    1:27:48; 1:31:24
Robert had a strong interview despite the weak technical acumen. But I'd be careful on placing emphasis on what was already acknowledged by the interviewer. Focus on your strong points more & avoid the negative aspects of lacking the tech background. I am glad he is willing to overcome those obstacles. Textbook response but now I'd want to ask more. For example, how would he do this exactly? He's giving the interviewer a chance to attack when he exploit his vulnerability. Similar to security threats, right? Jk. 1:31:35 An opportunity for a defense was here at this favorite question. His interview was as sharp as his zoot suit. 🕴 I like his mention of pain points.
I may not hire him 4 a tech role per se (depending on company's agenda & so forth) but I'd definitely consider hiring him only if that role was available in sales or related. The interviewer should've asked if he had any questions for him. I'd be interested in knowing Robert's responses.
    1:39:39
    Mike: DISCOUNT!
    Chris: Livestreaming.😰
    LOL!😆😄
    1:56:00
Martijn (mar(d)'thane) started off good but didn't tell the interviewer about HIMself. Notice Mike's expression & follow up question. He needs more info. He's trying 2 get a feel for the interviewee/background. During the CDN talks there was the clear throats showing nervousness or discomfort but he was transparent about it👍🏾. Too many I'm sorries (which can lead up to being negative) though. I hear what sounded like dishes clanging in the background. The tech difficulty of the no video avatar was understandable at this point. I like his mentioning of vendor lock. Good job. I'd put him on the thinking about hiring list.
    1:58:48
    Chris attempts at Marti's name: 🗿📃✂, ✊🏻🖐🏻🖖🏻, rock-paper-scissors...😅
    2:12:28
Practicing & using the board are great for presentations but not ideal for interviews. Tell me what you know with assurance but not too much. Many ppl get nervous. Everything else I agree with Mike on including the possible politician deflection, tactic or method. We have 2 ears & 1 mouth 4 a reason - to "listen twice as much as we can speak @2:16:29."
Smiling is optional 4 me in contrast to many recruiters' opinion. I like his seriousness (but not too serious tone), experienced demeanor or 'game face.' He got lost in his emotions, which gets lost in his thoughts, & then comes off verbally awry. Overall, a really good interview from Bob. I noticed also the tell me about yourself question was INTENTIONALLY skipped which I would've done too for his type.
    2:34:00
Mufaz's interview: he just needs to work on all of his weak areas. It needs more strength or experience on his tech skills. Not cloud hired yet. Look 4ward next year on seeing his technical competency improve.
    2:54:30
O.femi was similar. But I would recommend him to an entry level position or a probationary period if I decide to hire him. The interview was solid enough.
    3:04:30
Annie D's background is interesting, including the "6⁰ of separation" on how she found #gocloudcareers. Also, what's interesting is Mike's choice of company names in the military keyboard format. Xray, Charlie, Victor = X, C, V😃 which ironically is (randomly) smash the bottom row of keys that correspond with Cut, Copy & Paste respectively. 😄
    3:22:11
Chris's & Annie D's right. It was sunsetting there I think & she may have an auto contrast feature on her webcam. This interview had a different approach - a guided approach. However, I like Annie's D.elivery😉 & overcoming her barriers. Her personality was a plus!
