Mike, it's one thing to read interview tips but it's entirely different to see a live demonstration: priceless. Thanks for showing the way and teaching us more about BGP in this interview training than I learned from other courses!.
Angela. Thank you for your kind words. We have been making interview tip videos and we thought a demo would be helpful. Thank you so much for your feedback.
What a great way of showing that even if you do not have competence in programming, you do have these other skills and also showing the willingness to learn if it was part of the requirement. This is where some of us miss it. Thank you, Mike!
This video is the perfect resource I needed for a gap analysis against my interview skills. I immediately visualized a mental SWOT. Specifically, with the "Tell me about yourself" portion of the interview. I'll definitely be ready for my next interview. Extremely helpful - Thanks, Mike!
1, Start with by showing confidence, motivation, enthusiastic & energetic person that you are 2,followed by Rapport; create common ground by understanding each other. 3, Don't lied. 4. Directed the interview to your advantage. 5. Show the hiring manager that you are a solution 6. At last, get an e-mail & thank them.
1.Do research on the company and bring up key points you have read regarding their successes 2 Be genuinely interested in their goals se how you can further them. 3 Follow the techniques in this interview to the "T"😉
Knowledge , confidence , experience are my keys. Honestly speaking I was confident less before watching your videos . I lost my last interview but I was confident enough through out the entire conversation. Looking forward more videos . thanks
I liked the interview it gives a definitive example of how well it works to respond in that manner to try and get more into their side of things so that they are more looking at you as someone to hire.
Well I watched dis video. And wht I learnt from this video is how ur introduction should be to set a tone for rest of the interview. Always start with the most basic thing rather than making it complicated. Than as u move forward uncover layer by layer... I am also preparing some tech interviews for part time in college and this would definitely help me to connect with the interviewer instantly and how to show ur technically competency. Thnku
Mike, the demo interview was so helpful. Thanks so much for co-ordinating. The entire content is amazing!!!, lots of interview skills to learn and implement.
Nice interview, but how about newbies like us with no experience and hasn't work in tech before how can one land a role. Because i noticed you laid emphasis on your years of experience
If you're going to do a mock interview it would be more beneficial for me if there were an example of an interview with someone who hasn't been in the field and is trying to get in.
Is it necessary to say,”Absolutely!” To every question the interviewer asks? in this mock interview that is something as a viewer I found it a bit overdone. Maybe use it sparingly or use words like, “sure, yes or of course “?
That’s your perspective and it’s fine. I have been on 11 interviews and had offers from 10 of those companies. One of hiring managers told me that the fact that I said absolutely each time made them feel so comfortable they hired more on the spot. Over 10 of my clients have told me they received similar feedback that their enthusiasm by using the term absolutely. But here is the thing, it has to be authentic and it has to feel like you. If you can’t say something I’m your words it won’t feel authentic. So be you. I’m just sharing my experiences and that of countless people I have gotten hired over the years.
