Lil Wayne literally ticks all those boxes ...not his biggest fan but if thats the criteria I.e Longevity(since the HOTBOYS 90s, Cultural Impact (lets not even go there), Rhythm and Flow come on yall 😑
Tupac monthly Spotify streams 21.5 million
Nas monthly Spotify streams 10 million.
Jay Z monthly streams 36 million
Streams mean the music is objectively better? Nah
By that criteria, top 2 are Em and Nas, both still rapping at a high level, both have accolades, both are lyrical, both have amazing flows, both have huge influence.
Eminem is NOT rapping at a high level anymore 😂😂😂🤦🏽♂️ he rap fast and cram them words together to make it seem like he’s saying something but in reality he don’t be saying nothing …..honestly he’s been coming out with ass albums for like the last 4-5 years now maybe longer
@@thegascompany1051 Yeah the fast raps are just stupid at this point, but his lyricism is still at a high level, even though he's not saying much content wise. and yeah his albums/production ain't my cup of tea either.
he only rap fast on godzilla but you wouldn't know that right@@thegascompany1051
2PAC is forever.
Here in Africa we listen to 2PAC.
We don't listen to jayz
how's lupe not on the list? how sway!
He's not on it at all? He definitely should've been on the list.
the cool is one of the best albums ever made in the genre of rap. insane how he isnt on this list
because their only according to their taste
Based on their criteria Wayne should be 2nd. Kendrick definitely deserves to be in the top 10, however not before Wayne
Kendrick being in the top 10 is understandable. I don't have him there but I do have him knocking on the door of the top 10. He's not higher than Wayne. I agree.
@@onyxonyx4744yes he is higher than Wayne lmao fuck the mixtapes, Wayne doesn’t have better albums than Kendrick
@@Jay62812 buggin. Wayne's best album is better than K dots best album. Hes been doing it longer and just as lyrical, can't say fuck mixtapes when Wayne reinvented it
The crazy thing though is that the impact of alot of rappers that we consider great they do not have that impact as much today as they did yesterday
You never leave out Rakim from the top 10, ever
Lightskin dude wanna hate on Nas soooo bad but how can you. Nas still making good music, grammys, top 10 billboard albums, and Nas dont bother nobody. But somehow he still hated on a lot
He didn’t think Nas would make top 7 smh
Because he a jay z dick eater and he mad that nas just sold out the Madison square garden’s with out no major promotions
PAC is top 3. But 4 is acceptable
😂 y’all so New York man
You expect them to be so New Mexico? Lol hop off

2Pac is the Michael Jordan of Rap!
Arguably the #1 & #2 spots on the list 📃
@@bossshxtonly
Nah that title belongs to Jay-Z 😂
Mr October Jay Z is very overrated
Pac is not Michael Jordan of rap
No jay z is

Cube #1 ✔️ All Lyrics, Impact, Culture,Flo etc etc
I’m just kinda sick Kendrick 2 😂, what criteria put him over all them people in the top 10
This is by no means no malice towards Snoop... but he legitimately only has one classic album that came out in 1993.. everything else is either flops or solid. Ice Cube, Kanye would make more sense in that spot.
Other than that, outside of personal ranking, I have no real issue with the list
And what classic does Nicki have to be top 10?
@@miked.336 I think it would be interesting if everyone looked at appropriate 'ranges' for where a rapper could fall without it being egregious. I think Nicki being top 10 is a bit too high. However 15-25 sounds about right for her. Anything lower than 15, you're probably pushing it. Anything higher than 25 is starting to get disrespectful.
More than that. Snoop hasnt been a dope rapper since the 90s. Snoop the person is top 3 famous. But not as a rapper
@@OmarScruggsexactly
If Snoop cant be there because of one classic album why should Nas be there? How many classic albums does Nas have? You can’t pick and choose your favourite criteria.
Lil Wayne = Best RAPPER (The Cypherist)
Jay Z = Best ARTIST (The Visionary)
Nas = Best STORYTELLER (The Emcee)
Pac = Best INFLUENCER (The Poet)
Em = Best LYRICIST (The Wordsmith)
There's LEVELS to this topic when it comes to breaking down such a DIVERSE category of hip-hop. And my list is in no particular order, just pointing out how I see each of these artists that I listed. But at the end of the day, ALL of our opinions are subjective.
Biggie best Flow
Nah 😂
Nas is better than Wayne Jay em in their strong points
2Pac and Eminem are the two greatest rappers of all time. Comparing these two to other rappers is such a bullshit
They're the most popular, but not the greatest and not the best at rapping.
Neither is the best lol
Joe learned his lesson from the last list
Joe already was attacked for claiming to be better than rappers so he definitely made a wise move.
with rory mal to check joe about him not being THAT nice/popular he's able to make sly comments about "list" and impacts lol
They will never be able to quantify what hip hop and it's artist means to inner city youth or people that grew up within the culture worldwide with a list by billboard. That's like trying to weigh an airplane while it's flying...
Joe the failed rapper is now dissing Pac.
How tf you put Lamar before Wayne totally disrespectful
Be real, Wayne has been way more
Impactful to hip-hop than Kendrick!
@@SergioRamos-ir7mi are u 12 years old or something? What year was you born in? Lmao. Wayne's 30% of he's rap career is bigger then kendrick lmao.
@@jayperez437 that’s what im saying lol I’m agreeing with you maybe you read my comment wrong 😑
@@SergioRamos-ir7mi my fault just did a double take lol.
Jay Z at #1 and Kendrick at #2 is comical.
Kendrick #2 is wild but Jay's legacy is bullet proof. He is the ONLY correct position on that entire list. Cleary checks all of the boxes of their criteria and whoever is #2 is a DISTANT second.
How is Kendrick at #2 comical?
@@Jay62812 He's being pushed by mainstream. He can release an album of fart sounds and the critics will rate it 10/10 and cement it as one of the greatest albums in the history of mankind. He's being sold as a goat when he is actually mid. What can he do that Andre 3K can't? They categorized The ruler as a "British rapper", which i guess is technically true but come on.. Who is more hiphop than Slick Rick? Kinda odd and arbitrary that they restricted it to rappers from North America. lol. North America, really? You aint fooling anybody. Just say you wanted to include Drake 😂
Rakim, ice cube, krs one, LL cool j, kool g rap, big daddy kane, scarface, tupac and biggie.
Damn Melyssa he gave you the list of requirements upfront!
rakim not on top ten is crazy but its actually a decent list
That whole list TRASH
Kareem won't drop because current NBA players don't play enough games.
He definitely will. Steph at 32k plus same for Kevin.
But being realistic, it's easier to average 25/7/7. So to your point, you don't need to play all 82. Kareem will drop quick as hell.
I mean, the LaMelo ball for the hornets, just recently past 1,500 assists and hasn't played 200 games to say the least.
Yo that shhhh be crazy people be disrespecting MA$E til this day Rappers trying 2 be pretty boy thugs.....
Who paid to have this list made???? I was just in Amsterdam and saw hella 2Pac items everywhere and they play his music like it just came out last week.
Did GFK make the list? BTW, At 6:33 Joe remembers " the incident ".
2pac peers had to rap an additional 27yrs,and make sound business decisions to even be in the same convo lol Nonsense list
Good observation, I never thought of it that way.
Wayne should be higher
Kendrick ahead of Nas is absolutely ridiculous. Kendrick does not beat Nas on any of the criteria.
Too Short! shoulda been been on that list

Wayne sold millions at 14 nobody in top 10 list can say dat

RAKIM IS 2 ON MY LIST
KANE IS 1. NAS IS 3 KRS IS 4 KOOL G. RAP 5 SLICK IN RICK 6

Lil wayne should be one

Kool G Rap not being mentioned anywhere in this debate is plain crazy.. yet Gucci Mane 🤦♂
No slick rick either. Smh butdr dre who wasnt even a rapper
Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, black thought would replace a few for me
Based on the criteria alone, just criteria… Will Smith needs to be on there. Yes, Big Slap Em’ Silly Willie needs to be there. If you say no, then you’re not playing Summer Time at your BBQs. You’re not giving him credit for every major rapper having their own TV show or role in blockbuster films. You’re not giving him credit for showing every rapper that they can go mainstream and it not be looked at as negative for the music industry. Just saying. His impact and longevity makes states that he should be on the list regardless of what you think about his music. 🤷🏽♂️
Yep..Grammy..now Oscar...Platinum albums...Hit Tv show...Blockbuster movies..
