I cannot wrap my head around the fact that anyone bought this ridiculous garbage chad was spewing
People have itching ears. And sex is a big persuader.
Me either - how did multiple grown adults buy into Chad's ridiculous fake prophet, 'I see visions', 'The end of the world is nigh', schtick??? It's not even like the guy is charismatic, persuasive or attractive in any way. He's an out of shape, block-headed, no-necked, middle aged dope, with a flat, robotic voice that could put you in a coma!

I bet Chad and Lori couldn't believe their absolutely incredible good luck when they heard Alex had died of natural causes!!!. Having been shown a little of the way they think, relief was probably their first reaction, I mean can you imagine? Baby, can you even BELIEVE this!!!! Like, a whole big huge piece of this we no longer have to worry about dealing with!!. This is surely proof positive the Lord is on our homicidal, craven, greedy, selfish, self-serving malignantly narcissistic side in this Folie a Deux of intentional first degree conspiracy to commit the slaughter of minor children, a loyal healthy wife, mother and grandmother, and according to almost everybody, a dedicated and loving father and husband, however a dedicated husband who would not be played, but who was in a morass of confusion and anxiety over the very highly concerning change in his wife of 12 years. His wife had clearly lost her mind, there was another man for certain and a husband who could not help but see that those TWO things were directly related, there was a profoundly concerning uptick in Lori's already unusual and overwrought religiosity! For Lori, there was no sisterly grief, she didn't rush home to Arizona to comfort her parents, her family and to comfort her BFF the bride-widow, Zulema Because do any of us think that Alex's days were not already numbered??!??
Of course Alex's days were numbered. It was just a matter of when. How and where it would be done and when they could best arrange it. Probably just slowly but surely convince zulema that he was dark(remember he was already feeding into that all by himself by wondering if he had just been used by the newlyweds and that they really didn't care about him at all or need him anymore. and don't forget Alex lived to serve Lori.)I wonder how dark Alex had been slowly getting, how close is death percentage was growing to zero, after he already had killed Tammy and basically outlived his usefulness.
Melanie was no longer married to Brandon so no great big life insurance payout there, just social security death benefits for the four minor children which would admittedly, probably have been just on their own, quite a tidy sum. Because as Lori told zulema, Melanie p.. was going to financially be able to "take care of us all".

He smiled, raised his brows as LB described the Crime Scene. This monster smiled, nodded when “shaking” fits were uttered. Of course Tammy would have shaking fits as her life was being snuffed-whether via [a] pillow which I think was used and thrown away. This is why Garth could not find him upon discovering his poor mother. This monster was cleaning up the crime scene & must’ve thrown away the very item used to snuff out Tammy’s life.
That one issue makes me completely comfortable with the DP.

He's revolting with his clothes on - how Lori could bear to have him slobbering all over her naked, is utterly beyond me. That she murdered her handsome, masculine, dynamic husband Charles Vallow for THAT thing, is further proof of her insanity!
I just don't get his appeal as a fake prophet. How were so many grown adults willing to believe his self-promoting baloney that he saw visions, knew the end of the world was coming, could judge other human beings as 'Light' or 'Dark' etc, etc. Chad Daybell has ZERO charisma, charm or warmth about him - he isn't even intelligent! And that flat, dull, robotic voice of his could easily put you in a coma. I will never understand how he persuaded others to buy into his BS. The late Alex Cox even killed for him - though looking at photos of Alex Cox with his cross eyes and misshapen head, I'm not convinced he wasn't mentally defective.
Melanie Gibb, Melanie Pawlowski and Zulema Pastenes have no such excuse for worshipping the creep, and it's a very disappointing aspect of this case that they have got away with helping enable his crimes. Melani Pawlowski should definitely face criminal charges for conspiring with her Aunt Lori, Uncle Alex and Chad to murder her estranged husband Brandon for life insurance cash.

At least Chris Watts pleaded guilty and didn't put Shanan's family through a circus trial. Chad's ego was too big not to go to court and expose his family to to his evil deeds.

Very sad for the families that are still living and no part in this gruesome and bizarre case. He had the audacity to shame his children. Money, Power and sex. Lindsey Blake sure nailed it. I kept watching Chad's reaction. Their was a time when Prior talked about light and dark. And Chad actually said something and had a big mental smile reaction. I want to see the professionals explain about body movements. Prior look miserable throughout this entire trial. He knows the mountain of evidence against his client and its true. Chad still thinks he's going to get away. In the last closing arguments Chad was gripping his hands. He dont want to die but he was the master planner leading the simpletons.
He shamed all of the Daybells, Tammy's family, his children. They probably will have death threats because of this numbskull. I'm really sad for his children. Garth, Joe Murray and Emma put themselves out their. Thank goodness the other three was smart enough not to testify.
I think Emma takes after her father, in terms of her lack of empathy.
The only goal is to avoid the death penalty. Both Pryor and Chad know that he's never getting out of prison.

Thanks for that perspective. I’m on an iPad and can see much better today because the camera angle and lighting were FINALLY adjusted, thank goodness, but I failed to look much at Prior’s face/demeanor, and was paying more attention to Chad. All I kept thinking was that I was watching two, hard-to-look-at, not-so-attractive bulldogs sitting at a table. They’re both sickening to me.

Defence lawyer John Prior, slumped at his side with a fixed, five-yard-stare, looked utterly defeated! He knows his client doesn't have a hope in hell of escaping what's coming to him. The best he can hope for, is to get him off the death penalty, because there's no question the thoroughly evil Chad will die in a cage, as he fully deserves.
I hope he spends many years festering on Death Row, spending every minute of every day fearing the death he so cruelly unleashed on three vulnerable, innocent people.

When the prosecutor was talking about Tammy and what McKay testified to and up to that point Chad was smiling and when they mentioned the McKay testimony, Chad shakes his head and smiles. And when prosecutor Blake was talking about Tyler and JJ.😡 He moved and used facial expressions today the most all trial I believe.

Excellent summation! It was very powerful how the State began closing arguments with the recorded jail call between Chad & Lori. The jury heard his words and the tone in his voice.. resignation that the gig was up, Lori's babies *would be found* This may have been a complex case but the Prosecution laid out the details all of the details and connected all of the diabolical dots in a manner in which makes clear that Chad Daybell in his selfish, narcissistic and evil intent is indeed, guilty!

I've watched a lot of trial videos and I think Ms Blake is plain excellent at what she does! I like her straightforward way of presenting things in a calm and precise manner. I especially enjoy the tactical pauses she takes after receiving answers to her questions that are especially damaging to the defence.
A dead and stiff body can’t fall out of bed. Rigor mortis takes longer than a few minutes. So Tammy was dead much longer than a few mi yes after “falling out of bed”
