One of the more challenging strength skills for those outside of gymnastics doing ring strength training is the muscle up. Rage Fitness has made it easy to install a set of rings in your own home so you can workout and train this skill any time and not worry about the dreaded "gym fail." Whether you are in to crossfit, gymnastics or general fitness, the muscle up is a great skill to have in that it works so many different muscles throughout the exercise.

I had a problem with the transition. For what ever it is worth, I found that doing the chins to my chest with rings no more than 8 to 10 inchs apart made the transition easier. I'm 74 years old but have done chins and dips just about my whole life. Just a suggestion. Great video. Thanks much.

Wow man, I hope I'm in as good shape as you are when I'm that age

Andy Boyd I just love to train. My gym is in my house so don't worry about going out to get it done. If you enjoy it as much as I do, you won't have a problem with age.

Yeah, my garage is basically a gym, it's pretty much the best investment I've ever made. Just recently getting into training with rings, I've tried just about every type of exercise and rings are by far the best upper body workout I've ever had. It's amazing how much more difficult the sames moves are when done on rings instead of a solid bar.

I’m having a difficult time with false grip. Any tips on developing that?

Tell me specifically what you are struggling with on the false grip? Are you using grips?

    • @MikaelLewisify

@@americangymnast thank you for responding. I think it’s mainly that I just don’t have enough strength. It hurts and I easily slip out of the grip.
