It annoys me how all of a sudden, now that they know they think you're suddenly into them. Like no, stop being self-centred and just be my friend. I'm no different than I was 30 seconds ago and if you didn't think it then then you still shouldn't.

I first came out to one of my best girl friends and she also came out to me and, more disturbingly, divulged to me that her older brother had been molesting her since she was very young. That totally shocked and disgusted me. I felt to very bad for her. Then I came out to my sister and after that I just didn't care anymore. I began speaking about me and my partner in a very normal fashion. My way of coming out to my father (my mother died when I was 20 so just before I came out) was when he was staying with us and I said, "I'm going to bed and went into what he thought was my 'roommates' bedroom. The actor playing the shirtless dude I have to say is a pretty good facial actor.
His face when he realized what his friend was saying was pretty realistic.
    From what i gather...
Black friend: is shocked initially, but is the most mature about the subject.
Blonde friend: (Bobby) is the real homophobe.
Shirtless friend: the bridge between the other two friends while still having his own ignorant questions.
If I made this film, I would've made the shirtless friend the homophobe and then start having him trying to subtly cover up his bare torso, as a means to visually show his discomfort.

Their status changes to oxygen thief and unfortunately they go out the airlock. Life is a lot better when you’re real and you’re around people who accept you for who you are. I would never choose a group of my straight friends to tell all at once. The "power" is more equal when the straights (out of their homophobia) can't support each other in response to your announcement.

Tbh, using the old "why would I wanna look at your hideous dicks" line might work, since straight guys get offended when anyone finds them unattractive, even gay guys, lol. Eliciting a negative response on purpose can put the ball back in your court with regard to making the homophobes see how uncomfortable it is to be put on the spot.

About halfway through, I thought that the hostility of the blonde guy was because either he was in the closet or because he and the gay guy had hooked up and didn’t want anyone to know their shared secret. It would have explained why the blonde guy was so hostile.

Is it still this much of a production? I came out like 25 years ago and my fraternity brothers mainly didn’t believe me at first - but after we got past that couple minutes it just wasn’t a big deal. And hasn’t been since. I think this is a nicely done short film and hope the director gets a lot of work - he’s definitely captured something visceral here - but I also hope guys still in the closet come across this and know: most people just plain don’t care.
