Tim my brother, I just got my van back after 5 months of repair due to a manufacturing fault. That van is my life as I’m in it easily 16 hours a day. I know exactly how you feel when you say you feel you lost a limb. It’s a huge part of your life considering it’s just a system of moving parts. Keep on trucking mr Tim ❤

So somehow ive come back to this video, and i wanted to rant a bit about the Scania and Volvo comparison. I had a 4x2 S500 for 2,5 years, loved it. Then a 750 FH4 double bougie (full spec) came free so i made the step to that one. Never driven a Volvo. Had very high hopes, but holy ...... what a mistake it was.. I can see why many people love the Volvo's, but being away 4 nights a week (sometimes more then one week) made me realise how good a NG Scania cab really is.. Things like you cant even put all the air out of the seats, you need to climb over the gearshift when getting into the cab from the driver side, no table to eat your food at.. Nope not made for me and the work i do. Switching back to a Scania later this year.
About time cabs got bigger inside for the driver, especially if you're away from home for a week or more. Daf also make a big sleeper with the xxl series. My only concern with these cabs is the clearance for a fridge trailer. Keep the videos coming & a big tang to yourself, Shaun & Nipper.

Going to be cab wars between Scania and Volvo! Volvo coming out with a larger cab. The problem is they fill the extra space with stuff! All they’ve done is filled the extra space with the bunk and awkward locker space! Still a big fan of an upper drop down bunk and larger floor living space. I’d bang a chair and table behind one seat, a small kitchen area behind the other seat with the fridge, some lockers underneath and much better use of the space then.
In the old FH it was for some years possible to order an office interior. You had an upper bunk and the lower one could be transformed to two chairs with a table between.
That was cool, I watch the odd RC truck video, very cool. Loved the scania with the Vulcan Bomber cockpit on the trailer. Have to say wouldn't mind a trucker Tim truck model. Would be my first truck model lol. Just got a new Scania on Eurotruck Sim 2 though. Treated myself lol

You are right I don't think Grass karting is for me ! I was actually quite calm when Oscar had the truck I knew he would look after it, its come home much cleaner 🤣
I work for Brett's at Guyhirn, last week I got my scania 660 V8, it's done in Bretts 90th anniversary colours. Fully kitted out inside and paintwork was done at Kirks Coachworks. Unfortunately not an XL😉
Personally, I find European law should be changed to allow larger trucks to about the size of an American standard cab (so without the nose) so you have a decent size bed and a space between it and the driver seats for proper cupboard and living space. I think for space that would looks like something between this XL cab and a longline cab

The XL is easy to spot on the road as it is the one with the bottom of the front bumper hanging off after going over speed bumps!
