quick idea, cut the ribs out of the rear arches and put in some frosted Perspex in then have a LED strip on the cab side so the light fades away as it goes to the rear of the arch.
Love the video tim & Helen. Love what you’ve done with the unit ,yes you need to do that to your a frame. And when you do the interior you need a bed like that. Shaun would have loved the DAF.
I have been to J 38 truck stop lots of times I remember I did my first vlog video there just used my phone I look back on it now it was terrible 😅 you inspired me to try my vlogs again another great video keep up the good work I definitely remember when you first started back in Datashredders for your channel.
Hey Tim, why not change the beacons to clear? It would fit the theme much better than orange and you could just get orange bulbs. Unless they're LEDs of course...

8:19 It has to be a t cab with a bonnet. Unfortunately nobody has modded the new gen t cab into American truck simulator. But I've added big engine mods to my SCANIA T CAB in ATS. I now have a 730HP engine in it with 3,00nm torque. I've also added a few unrealistic engines to it and what I've done is made them unlock every 5 levels of my profile. So the next engine upgrade is at level 30 and it's a 835hp engine 😂. It goes all the way to level 50 to a 3,000 horsepower engine with 12,000nm torque lol. It will probably wheel spin all the way up the road. I've also modded a 20 gear gearbox for it. Currently when it's in gear 18 it will cruise at 112mph with an 18 ton load.
How do you feel about the cameras? My dad is an ADR driver for Shell, when the cameras became more popular he was able to trial them with another group of drivers... He said the issue with them is that if one breaks, so do all the other cameras on the vehicle as they're all connected, he also told me that when you're doing night shifts and reversing into spaces on a yard, the flood lights completely white out the cameras so you can't see a thing! The group of drivers said sod this and went back to armoured mirrors lmao!
I personally think Helen is on the right track, when you have companys coming in for meetings looks suer professional having a nicely decorated room to have the meetings in! Loving the content and still think you should bite the bullet on the T cab ;)
i think the daf indicator looks cool, but you had to put it at the "TIM" sight to make it more good, btw that daf spliter looks good ngl how about you put it on your truck....
I drove the demo XD DAF last month. Not a fan of the camera mirror can’t judge distance when reversing a trailer however they were amazing in the rain. Clear view all the time in the rain. Found it nicer than the volvo 500 I’m using now but not as good as the Scania s450 I had befor. I miss that Scania. Hopefully brand new Scania next year. First Double man run to sterling tomorrow from north wales.
Don't know if the modern adaptive auto cruise is the same as it was when it came in, but a thing that annoyed me was that if you passed close to a lay-by with a truck parked, or pulling into it, it would register it and put the brakes on. Used to drive me insane!!!!!

I had a draft on my volvo when we first had it it's an easy fix. Open door, foot on the door handle and pull on the top of the door 😂
