Working in London, it is always a good option to be in the zone 4 or 5 and i would prefer the west , south or north of London as the East is too crowded. Having lived in the West - Hounslow, Feltham, Southall - are good places. With a bit more money Harrow and sorrounding areas are nicer places to live.

Thanks Sheela Karthick. I know you asked me about it 2-3 days back. I was searching for that comment to respond. :) . Eastleigh is in the south coast. Generally Bournemouth and the south coast is one of the most beautiful parts of England. Very scenic and very nice beaches there. Bournemouth is a good tourist destination. Eastleigh from what I have seen is a good city in terms of cost of living I think. I think you can get a studio apartment for like 500-600 £ and 1 beds for 700-750 £ . 2 Beds probably around 800+ . Again depends on where you work? They do have a decent public transport in that part I think but not as frequent as near London. Hope that helps. Oh and Isle of Wight is very near to that place. That's a small island (about 20 miles long) from the south coast of England like about 20 minutes by ferry and one of the most popular tourist destinations.

Lakshmipriya, these days even in youtube news channels telecast live news. Also in tamil channels online some telecasts are live. Proving you are not watching any live telecast is very difficult. It doesn't need to be BBC content. It doesn't need to be news. It could be sports, music launch, interview anything.

Not for Online Streaming if it is not seen live. Like Netflix for e.g. doesn't need a tv license if that's the only thing you watch. If you are watching only YuppTV you can argue that you don't watch any live tv. But imagine if you go to bbc news or youtube or facebook and watch any live tv news as channels regularly stream live in youtube and facebook these days. Even for that matter Amazon Prime now has live shows / sports. Sometimes in YuppTV the cricket broadcast is live for India Matches. So then you are watching a live program and you have to pay :)
Dear Anand! thanks for the video. In one of the videos posted by your wife Mrs. Anitha Anand (In her channel) she said that once your house for robbed by burglars and you lost important documents including passports. I am from Chennai from past 15 years I have not faced such problems and many of my friends told that people from Chennai love London than US/ New York. But it was shocking to know about burglary incidents in London. My doubt is London safe or not? If possible please make a video on crime rate and required measures to take to be safe in London.
Priya, it was one of our most difficult issues when we came to UK to deal with it. There are lots of reasons why it happened. Actually we had the Police unit (finger printing, crime scene investigation, detectives) all in the house and then I had to follow up with them for a few days. What I learnt was that beyond a point police don't follow up victimless non-violent burglaries with no evidence or cctv footage because of police staffing. If you watch the news you would have seen the Moped thieves gang in London attacking shops or stealing mobile phones from unsuspecting people. Add this to the unemployment and wide mix of population , it is always going to give rise to opportunistic thieves knowing that they can get away with it. Based on what police told us, every time we move houses we install intruder alarms, motion sensors and identity theft protection. I have seen it in most parts of London when people are not at home. This happened again to a neighbour when we were living in a gated community despite communal locks and stuff . However it is a very safe city in terms of being able to go anywhere anytime without the fear of being attacked or physically injured by someone as those sort of crimes are followed up more seriously and hence such incidents are lesser. Despite that incident, I still feel it is a safe city even now. But that doesn't mean you can't be cautious and take precautions.

It depends on your credit history. So first you need an address proof and a bank account. Whichever bank account you start with you can apply for a credit card with them after a month of maintaining balance I think.
Hi Anand Anna Oru suggestion for address proof Step 1. Apply for provisional licence in a post office .once it arrives Step 3 . Any high street bank accepts provisional licence to open bank account . Step 3 . Bank account welcome letter will have address which can be used as address proof elsewhere. I find your channel very helpful.
That is definitely a good suggestion Ajay. But in some places like schools for e.g sometimes they don’t accept driving license. But it will be a good proof for most needs.

After brexit there is an expectation that there may be a shortage. There is no option to stay longer than 6 months. No option to settle or extend. And only 2500 people will be allowed and that is not necessarily from India. It is expected to start by mid year. And this will close in 2020. Considering flight costs and the low wages I doubt this will be useful for people from India or if farmers will consider bringing people from India.

There is post brexit seasonal farm work visa that has been announced. But it is just a temporary 6 month labour shortage visa and a short term pilot measure announced to tackle brexit . Not yet implemented. Usually Eastern Europeans work (from low income countries like Romania and poland) for cheap labour in agricultural farms. After brexit there is an expectation that there may be a shortage. There is no option to stay longer than 6 months. No option to settle or extend. And only 2500 people will be allowed and that is not necessarily from India. It is expected to start by mid year. And this will close in 2020. Considering flight costs and the low wages I doubt this will be useful for people from India or if farmers will consider bringing people from India.
