    Ok having read a lot of comments you ALL seem to be missing the point. The traffic light is temporary however the traffic at the junction is ALL coming headon from BOTH sides.....In the UK on a two-lane road it is customary (if it's not a one-way street) to have one lane to go in either direction! If this red light turns green the biker (and as most of you failed to notice the 20 or more cars behind him) don't have a lane to drive on!

    • @firstman9273
      @firstman9273 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Rubbish, when the lights from the other 2 directions turn red, the traffic will stop coming through and the bike and cars behind him will have their turn. The only reason there are a few at the end coming from the right and left is because a few of the right ones went through on red. At the end, the right ones had completely stopped.

      @@firstman9273 fair they do. But at the end of that road there's an island so nothing should even be coming down the left side. Can't quite tell if that's a roundabout but they are in the left hand lane.

      @@lucywikeley2489 Yes it is a roundabout with construction in progress, hence the anticlockwise diversion and temporary traffic lights. And after watching again, some of the traffic are missing this exit and they turn right after the divider island hence they are on both sides of the road, it must be easy to miss the exit due to going anticlockwise, the biker is over reacting. This is A77 next to Girvan community hospital.

    Top of my road like this at the moment. Light controlled t-junction with works on the main road. A pedestrian island divides the lanes on the minor road, but as soon as you add three way controlled lights, everyone goes mad. Wrong side of the island is fine despite no obstruction on the correct side.

    So when the lights go wrong (as they do sometimes) and stay on red all day would the majority sit there all day ? because I wouldn't, I would wait for the opportunity to ride through safely, most road users are like lemmings and they have to wait to follow someone else, correct me if Im wrong but I believe that temporary traffic lights are not seen as ' legal ' as the formal lights put in place by the authorities, ??? Generally speaking.

      The single problem with your analogy, is, as in this instance, there is no way of seeing what the further, (assuming there is one), traffic light is doing. I, like you, doubt there is one, but sod's law says the moment you decide to go, plod will decide to take a ride in his little noddy car. As far as the legality goes. Although you may successfully argue your case in court, should you "bump" into an oncoming lorry, it is doubtful your insurance company would look favourably on you. (Speaking from experience).

    Maybe just too bloody lazy to move the traffic lights to the side of the road, over the weekend 🤭. It’s a bit like all the abandoned temporary road signs, which they are also too lazy to collect after the work has finished. The only good bit is that they eventually get covered by the rubbish and weeds. Oh the joys of living in a 3rd world country…..

    Or.....it's a psyop to mess with us all & ruin driving.
    Even more annoying when you're on a bike as you can easily squeeze through.
