This may be the most perfect song, and this may be the most perfect performance of it. He even reminds me of the power of gratitude, when he thanks the other musicians near the end.

What is ecstasy? Perfection? The ability to touch deeply with the voice? What is catharsis? When comes a moment in time when you think for a short moment, "there can't be anything more beautiful"? I believe this piece in this version can be all of that.

And if your friends think that you should do it different
And if they think that you should do it the same
You've got it, just keep on pushing and, keep on pushing and

And if you feel you got everything you came for
If you got everything and you don't want no more
You've got it, just keep on pushing and, keep on pushing and

@@halasfil "Regarding the meaning of this life-affirming song, Cave told The Sun: "We all have this feeling of the world folding in on us. Whether it's environmental, the economy, nuclear or whatever, I don't think there's anyone on the planet who's walking around thinking things are okay.
"So to me, there's this idea that we need to carry on and do what we do. The song is optimistic in that respect. Of course it's impossible to push the sky away but we need to try."

Saying this while disliking mostly those highly overdosed "string versions". THIS here is a pure Nick Cave as it gets to the sentimental roots of the song.
